---+[ Peeps of Note==== NPC Guide/Encyclopedia ]+---

+Okey dokey... for right now, I'm just going to start alphabetically sticking in people that I have either used in previous rp, or mentioned in previous rp. Later, when categories present themselves, I may expand this into ... well... categories. Heh. ^_^ So read up, enjoy- and if you see someone I've missed, just let me know.

This guide is for your convenience. Fortunettes contains EXTREMELY plot-heavy rp, and there are always NPC's floating about that may or may not play a vital role... and may or may not reappear down the line. It would behoove all Fortunette owners/gypsies to know of these people who have 'gone before'- whether to know the veracity of a trader, or to remember who you were warned to stay away from in upcoming rp.

::A-C::

Algonya: This Unfortunette Adult is one of the few Unfortunettes that is not innately evil, and can still live around others. However, this once golden-eagle girl is cursed, and even as her body attempts to heal itself- reverting back to a stage in which it was pure- she is tainted with black marks and a misshapen body. She is cursed with very telling Meij nightmares- and so, comes across the fortunes of young Annjette. She desires no Fortunettes to suffer her fate, and aids whenever she can.

Algurna: She is a businesswoman from the south. Her sister is Grendenla.

Alora: One of the six separated sisters. Each carries a diamond instrument, and has a tiny stopper about their neck that needs to be filled with diamond dust before the curse can be broken and they can be reunited. Alora is the second oldest, and has blue eyes and whitish blonde hair and eyelashes. She carries the diamond harp.

Burs: A woman from Enallas who is encountered by Lorelei during The Choosing. Little is known about her, other than she is accepting and loves to eat.

Bymiers: The sea mer-swifts, a cousin of the Filor, have not been encountered by the caravan.

Cerces: A younger member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan, Cerces is too young to care for Fortunettes, but this blonde, spunky nymph-like girl has a large aviary of Banya Birds. She both trades and breeds them.

Clostho: The Peress of the southern region, Clostho is a Corphori woman who originally encountered Lorelei during The Choosing ceremony, which ended in her being chosen for the position of Peress

Corphori: Little is known, other than their growling-like language, and that they live far to the south, beyond what used to be the mines, under the regency of the Peress.

Crick: He is a member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan- an older man than the usual travelling gypsy, Crick is helpful and wise- and often departs from his caravan to travel with his frog-Fortunette son, Corman- and show him the world. He specializes in Marsh and Attash Plains lore.

Crystallaureate: Considered by the White Sect Priests & Priestesses collected at the festival of All Savior's Day to be a gift from the Spirit, the Crystallaureate is the form of Illyana, DeArca's childhood friend, frozen in what appears to be a crystal or a block of ice- but is unbreakable.

::D-H::

Dove: The tree-dwelling people who take their name from the Dove Forest, where they live to the far east. Theirs is a quiet, peaceful society, extremely self-contained within their lofty existance. The Dove are a separatist society- though they view matriarchal and patriarchal as equal, they are separated- fathers live with their sons, and mothers their daughters. Dove families are typically very small- three individuals at most.

Durriken: A famed pirate who is said to make his way from the Lechybyn Marsh to Dark Bane Island and back again, peddling and protecting his stolen wares.

Esperita: The head of the HoneyBlossom Caravan. This middle-aged gypsy woman is small, but powerful. When she senses a Fortunette or a gypsy is meant to have a gift, she does anything within her power to make it so. Last seen, she was coming from Enallas and taking her caravan into the west.

Fermers: The lanky, talkative ground-dwellers of the Dove Forest, cohabitating yet rarely coming in direct contact with the Dove, who live above the ground. They are known best for their chattering mouths, their tall, knobby stature. They leave the Dove Forest much more often than their counterparts to trade the spices they collect within the forest limits.

Filor: The Filor are the river mer-swifts, known for their adept trading and, of all things- their smell. Whenever a Filor comes to the surface, any land-dweller close enough would be sure to remark on the honeyed, heady smell that came from their shell-pink and translucent blue scales. This sweet enzyme they secrete has often been mimicked by the land-dwellers in the form of perfumes or bridal bouquets... but not even the sweetest fascimile could come close to the heavenly odor of the Filor. They have small, papery lungs that they can inflate to use for short periods of time on land, and most are noted for their striking, other-worldly beauty.

Forta: One of the two major generals in the Great Rift- Forta was an Unfortunette Elephant who had turned sour against another Fortunette who had been his friend and companion in youth. They attempted to destroy one another- and rallied other Fortunettes to their sides, creating the Great Rift- destroying a fair amount of the southern part of the continent.

Geneva Versau: This human trader, met near Port Tempranillo, is afflicted by some sort of flesh-deforming illness. Ironically, her wares mostly consist of medical items. She enjoys trying to figure out and use her customers' motivations to her best advantage.

Grendenla: A businesswoman from the south. Her sister is Algurna.

Hedriken: A famed pirate who is somewhat less well known than Durriken, Hedriken comes from the same Pirate Clan, and specializes in grey magic artifacts. He can most often be found on Neried Isle, attempting to peddle his rare, one-of-a-kind stolen wares to the rich.

Heraph: The Spirit Advisor to the Peror or the Peress, who has the most hand in choosing the succession.

Hurwar: A businesswoman from the south; she is friends with Grendenla.

::I-L::

Icarus Protectorate: Long ago, the skies were filled with members of the Icarus Protectorate- the guild of fliers. Anyone who followed their teachings could fly. Something happened to the Protectorate, however, and all that remains of the guild are their TriRunes- so called because they are scattered throughout the world in three parts each. These days as well, without the teachings or the Protectorate, even the runes can't do it all- those people with no air element, or no spirit of flying in their bones- they can't fly even with a rune. Only those with wings, proto-wings (that weren't curse-given) can fly with a TriRune.
Today, only a few "members" of the Protectorate exist- though surely, there are not nearly enough to rival the power of the guild of old.

Ixlj:

Kidra: This member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan took in Ametra, a member of Valelldia's caravan when she headed eastward to her home, and intercepted their caravan. She was also given care over Stefan- but returned him to his rightful place within Valelldia's caravan.

Leax: This dashing gypsy is a member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan. He and Stasha share a gypsy father- however, Leax's mother was a Siren, and so, Leax often feels compelled to fall in love with- and practically intoxicate women with his crooning voice and melodious eyes. (Currently, he is living with Valelldia's caravan)

Lofbross: A Lowland-Gelm trader who camps alongside the road that leads up to Seinheph. He is a typical Gelm in both appearance and temperament... but is unusual in that he dislikes his sister, immensely.

Lofsless: Sister of Lofbross- an atypical Gelm in that she travels throughout the land, and enjoys other jewelry than of the Gelm workmanship. Her specialty is moonstones.

::M-P::

Magic-Eaters Guild: A group of grey and black-magic mages, interspersed with ordinary men who desire power and are called the "Robed Apprentices". This is a dangerous group that kills magical creatures and saps their powers. The caravan encountered them during the trip into Mulden, when Ais and Ane were stolen and nearly sacrificed- and Kale was seriously injured by a cursed arrow.

Marisel: One of the six separated sisters. Each carries a diamond instrument, and has a tiny stopper about their neck that needs to be filled with diamond dust before the curse can be broken and they can be reunited. Marisel is the third sister, and has green eyes and whitish blonde hair and eyelashes. She carries the diamond oboe.

Mazela Fers: See Queen Firos

Merce: A trader from Enallas who was aided by Lorelei when her Blarnbird was attacked by a vulture. She possesses many magical charms that she obtained through her life as a trader- and does not hesitate in giving them to good people. She specializes in high-end Banyas.

Orrel: A member of The Saster, a southernly Caravan, friend of Leax and a member of the Icarus Protectorate.

Peress: The feminine version of the ruler of the southern portion of the continent. It alternates between generation from the feminine to the masculine, and the choice is made during a festival called The Choosing.

Peror: The masculine version of the ruler of the southern portion of the continent. It alternates between generation from the feminine to the masculine, and the choice is made during a festival called The Choosing.

Persimmon: The second main General in the Great Rift. Persimmon, a Fortunette Gazelle, who had been Forta's dear friend and loving companion in their teen years, fought against him in the war that left most of the southern part of the continent destroyed- levelling the Ash Forest. It is now a plainsland.

Pill: The leader of the group of fae from the Twiggle Forest that are charged with the protection of the magical trees that reside there. Little is known about Pill and her group except they are loyal to the trees, playful, and spiteful. Pill is green, as are all the females in the group. (The pink are the males.)

::Q-S::

Queen Firos: One of the three priestesses of note created by the Fers clan, who was called Mazela before coming into her powers. Mazela took the clan name as her own when her rule extended beyond the middle colonies of the Aompor- presumably so as to retain her heritage and preserve her clan name.
Her reign of fire terror was second to none in her unique, albeit identity-robbing techniques of fire manipulation. Her armies of fire elements, though well-maintained, had to be steadily replenished, as the effects of her spells would render her minions catatonic after prolonged exposure to them. The scroll "Dead Flame" contains dozens of minstrel's songs which are devoted to this topic.
Mazela's powers are said to have established themselves at birth- but it is assumed she used metallics to strengthen them, as well. She controlled many of the lowland-Gelm gold mines, and would have hammered gold medallions and armor sculpted for many of her armies. She wore gold herself- most notably of which were a pair of firestone earrings, a bloodring, gold and ruby anklets, and a gold and Firos medallion about her neck. It is unknown whether these were decorative or useful- however, in points of extremely high magical concentration, Mazela would lose control of her armies.

Rosyoia: A Corphori man

Seira: The darkest, most black-magic powerful Unfortunette adult ever to exist. Once a dragon, she sprang from her item form in a matter of minutes- craving, needing to exist so much that she encircled herself in dark meij. She became a dark-magic mage far to the East- after she joined the side of Forta in the Great Rift.

Sentinel Lochs: These green-backed sea monsters are not nearly as large as myth and mapmakers say- not nearly so large to consume large ships in single swallows... but certainly large enough to spur the myths in the first place. The Northern Loch has been the most oft-seen from those upon the Port Docks, protecting the northern shores from the horizon. The Southern and Western Lochs have been seen within the past ten years- but the Eastern Loch... may be either dead or extremely secretive, for none have seen it in enough time to make it a legend.

Serojl: A wizened old woman that Heather and Pandara came across... playing a flute made of Elven Diamonds in an alley in Seinheph. She said she was given a quest, many years before- that to the mysterious one who could hear the flute, she must give her a decanter of enchanted diamond dust.

Setsuz:

Sippa: A redheaded Fermer girl who raises goats for sale- but also, from time to time, peddles her sister's Banyas.

Stasha: A member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan. She has a daughter- the cat-like Sarai, who is but an infant. Her half brother is Leax.

Susa: One of the six separated sisters. Each carries a diamond instrument, and has a tiny stopper about their neck that needs to be filled with diamond dust before the curse can be broken and they can be reunited. Susa is the oldest, and has grey eyes and whitish blonde hair and eyelashes. She carries the diamond flute.

Swizzlet: A Filor that is encountered in Port Tempranillo- she is a friend of Twinket's little sister, who is an enzyme peddler.

Trabor: A Fortunette Adult who was once a cheetah, Trabor is down to earth, resourceful, and very debonair. He is a member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan, but still seeking his own personal destiny- with or without the safety of his caravan.

Twinket: A Filor trader the caravan met on their way to the Highland-Gelm Mts, at Rock High Point. She is a sweet, beautiful Filor who promised to seek out the caravan, were she to ever find more pieces of the Tri-Rune.

Velle: A no-nonsense, loving member of the HoneyBlossom Caravan. She is well versed in history, and has mothered many Fortunettes, Trabor among them.

White Magic Sect: The sect of magic users to the south that believe that they possess the use of the only true, pure magic.

Ztilor: Little to nothing is known- other than they are under the regency of the Peror far to the south.
