We CPs wish for a CP world, a world that can never be with modern style. The old computers and printers and stuff looked more Dark and compicated, but with today trendy, preppy lifestyle, everything looks hideosly simple and round and prissy. Cars are rounder and colored with ugly pastels. do you hate the death of style going on around you? Can we stop it. No, of course we can't stop it, we don't exist in the eyes of style. They all called us freaks that don't have any choices and pushed our desdires aside. What can we do? What will we do?

Look at the instant messenger that Neo used in the beggining of The Matrix Don't you wish you could make your Yahoo IM or AIM screen look just like that? What about the computor the operator used, the one with the multple keyboards, lots of exposed metal and wires, a huge monitor and a sweet chair just to make it perfect. Wouldn't you want that?

Who wouldn't? And even CP is taking a hit! Looking at the most most popular CP today, what do we find? Shadowrun. How dare they fairy up my cyberpunk with magic and elves! I miss the early 90s....

Any True Cyberpunk should be able to roll with the punches and adapt to the newer "streamlined" look of technology... I've always wanted a cellphone screen in my sunglasses and a sleek little 10-key in the palm of my hand... if they want to try and make the world all pastels, get out your sharpie and recolor your little part of it...

Think of it this way. the world is ruled by corperations. and they have to supply a great deal of people with tech. now they would have to be insane if they did not market to all people. so dispite your portest. its going to happen. get with the times.
or you can wage a ware to every mega corp that you dont like. join the club chummer. the world is a market and you are for sale just like all the rest.

Man, that Matrix computer thing is so cool. But yeah, like Roland said, what's the chance of any corporation actually making someting like that? They would have to be entirely crazy.
It wouldn't be impossible to make one yourself, though... ninja You'd just need about six separate computers, a lot of cables, a screwdriver and a soldering iron.

I like the sound of that! twisted I go to a vocational school for electronics class for three hours of class. That's definatly not a problem.

Machines are becoming self-contained and miniaturized...which means we have those hideous iPods now being able to do almost anything...music, phone, net, camera, video...who needs all that garbage? Who knows how to get in there and make that tech work the way you want it to work? There are a few, no doubt, but the corporations do their damndest to keep you from being able to do that.
What can you do? Don't buy into self-containment...don't buy the turquoise and neon pink cpu/monitor/radio/atv. Understand how it works...and understand how you can get it to work the way you want.
