My likes FF7 8 9 tactics and 1. . .but 7 is my favorite.
i just like it's story n characters. . . i didn't like 8 that much but i still play it from time to time. . .9 is really cool. .. tactics is average and semi-hard to understand. . .and 1 is simplistic which makes it fun

I've only played VII, X, and X-2... own all three... and I really dislike X and X-2... I liked VII because once ya get outta Midgar, you can go whereever you want... But, like many so-called "RPG"s now-a-days... no matter where ya go, you still have to follow a specific story line... blah. Annoying. These aren't RPGs... D&D is a REAL RPG... unlike these video games...

I'm currently hooked on FFXI now I noticed Joker talking about how you can go anywhere on FF7 well play 11 and you'll truly know the feeling of going wherever you want, that world is huge! Though if you go too far you may find yourself getting killed in one hit by a monster so toughen up on the weaker ones first!

. . . I love Final Fantasy. ^_^
Shall I count the ones I thoust love? 1- Becuase it's random and silly and every time that little pixlated character shrugs to my friend it looks like he's flipping you off. XD 3- Though known in Japan as 6 so I don't know what happened to the in between ones for America. But the story ish wonderful. Tactics- For the music and war drama it plays. 7- For the awesome story and characters. It's amazing that Cloud has been in 4 different games so far. 8- Although boring as hell for the first disc. with the main characters famouse line ". . ." the story picks up to be ok. 9- GOD it's a wonderful story, characters, AND music! Kingdom Hearts 1+2- The FF characters play a good part in it.
Overall my absaloute favorites are. . . 7, 9, and KH1.

I played through Final Fantasy X, tried VII and X-2, and got side-tracked while playing KH1. Out of these I would have to say that X was the best, I loved it. I'm absolutely sure that I would love VII but the graphics give me a headache, so I'll just have to wait for the PS3 version. I've come to the conclusion that X-2 isn't worth the time it takes to play it. And I was quite enjoying KH1 but got side-tracked and just haven't bothered to start playing again.

They're coming out of a redone version of FF7 for the PS3?! Why wasn't I told of this! XD

Ewig Schlaf You never asked Heiros, that's why we didn't tell you. Aww, but it's so hard to remain ignorant and ask questions at the same time.

I thought the scrapped the idea of making VII on the PS3. And besides, with XII coming out soon, they shouldn't have to worry for a while. Since it'll be the first real FF since X.
And to Heiros, FFIV and VI in Japan became II and III on the Snes for us. I think in 1999 and 2000 though, they realeased FF Origins, which had I and II for the PS1. And released FF Anthology which had V and VI, also for the PS1. The also released a special combined of IV and Chrono Trigger in one package for the PS1 at the same time. So it's possible to have only a PS2 and be able to play all but three of them now. Those being, Tactics Advanced, III, and the Turks one on cell phones.
And yes... I do own now, I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, X-2, and within about 2-4 weeks here, I will also own FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus.
The only one I haven't liked at all is XI. Mainly because every one seemed to be an a*****e to me would never ally up. It's annoying when your crafting skills are starting to be higher level than your jobs...

My favorite FF is either Tactics OR Final Fantasy 9. Tactics is about the funnest of the group with customizing your party and such. Final Fantasy 9 has the greatest characters and music. I used to have 8 but sold it to my friend...didn't like it nearly as much as 9. = I still have FF7 but IMO it is waaaaay overrated because the hardest bosses in the game are Emerald and Ruby Weapon. (Sephiroth is a big ol' pushover.) I also dislike Tactics Advance because compared to it's big brother, Tactics, it was waaaay too easy and I beat the game 100%. AND to you guys who are gawking over the remake of FF7...no need, they plan to remake it as a live action RPG. (prob something like KH) The only other thing I would have to say about Final Fantasy is that I love the anime series that was spawned, even though a lot of people hated it, it is one of my personal favorites. Also just throwing this out there....if you want a Final Fantasy movie....get Advent Children cause even if you haven't played Final Fantasy 7, it is the best movie. Spirits Within isn't horrible BUT nothing in the movie has ANYTHING to do with Final Fantasy...not even any chocobos. =

I think you're right BSJoker. My friend told me about Squaresoft making a redone better graphic version of FF7 (i forgot all about it)but then they decided not to but on the G4 channel it shoed a preview of what it would've looked like. . . but then again. . . I guess they just could've changed their mind. I don't know. . .
Oh and Phantom Keeper the FF7 movie is alot more filling and enjoyable if you play the game through though cuase you know all the characters and their pasts and such. You just come to. . . apreciate it more. Or so my mother has said since I played the whole game through for her to get to know the story and characters and she got to see the movie after I beat it for her. She also added that she would've been lost if she hadn't seen the game and her intereast just wouldn't have been in it.

I saw screen shots in last (maybe this) month's Electronic Gaming Monthy magazine for the remake of FFVII. It looks like they took the graphics from Advent Children, so I guess that's what the cutscenes will be. I just hope that they didn't attempt to upgrade the story or anything like that...
