now i sure that some people asking how do make these tense for other yodan verb?
see here in review of yodan verb!
present= leave the way it is
present negative= change to izenkei form (change last letter to -a ex. yomu(read) becomes yoma) then add nai (yomu -> yoma -> yomanai) and you have negative (yomanai, does not read)

past= change to -te form then change the -te/-de to -ta/-da
ex. yomu -> yonde-> yonda (read past)
past negative= chnage verb to izenkei (look at my last post)
yomu-> yoma
now change to negative
yomu-> yoma -> yomanai
now take off -i
yomu-> yoma-> yomanai-> yomana
and put -katta
yomu-> yoma-> yomanai-> yomana-> yomanakatta
i know it lot of surgery but that how it make past negaticve

ichidan have slightly different (not much they follow same rule but this is just in case someone get confuse and use yodan tense)
ichidan verb ren'youkei drop -ru
oboeru->oboe
that is all you need to know! apply polite ending to ichidan ren'youkei and you get same result as yodan ren'youkei give you
