A while ago, I made a list of bands/artists/musicians/whatever. Not a list of my favorites, but of people I had maybe heard one or two songs from, or maybe just praise for, and decided to look into later. I add to this list every now and then when I hear new/interesting things, and remove names when I buy/borrow and burn albums (seems like every time I go exploring on the I-tunes store, I add two or three new names xp ). So without further ado, my list:
Kaiser Chiefs Deathcab for Cutie Louis XIV Interpol Stereophonics Blur Polyphonic Spree Plant Life Arcade Fire Shout Out Louds Fatboy Slim Daft Punk Le Tigre Thievery Corporation The Faint Air Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Electric Six The Clash Black Eyed Peas Cake Panic! at the Disco The Ramones Jurassic 5 Moby Q-Tip Beastie Boys K-OS The White Stripes Chromeo Caesars Palace Tegan and Sara Afrika Bambaataa Stellastarr Goldfrapp Arctic Monkeys Snow Patrol Morrissey The Sounds The Editors We Are Scientists M.I.A. Electric President Kanye West Aceyalone Clor Deltron 3030 Hot Chip Camera Obscura Dalminjo Sascha Funke DJ T Mount Sims Metronomy Spoon Eagles of Death Metal Portugal. The Man Of Montreal Belle and Seabastion Junior Boys LCD Soundsystem Asobi Seksu I:Cube
Fairlly eclectic, if I do say so myself. And of course, it's in no particular order. So here's the point: what do you think of it? Are there any names on there that you absolutely love/hate? Why? Based on what I have so far, do you have any reccomendations for other people I should look into? Also, have you made a list like this? If so, who's on it? If not, I think you should and then share it. biggrin
Oh, also I'd like some help with some of the bands that have larger discographies. If you're a fan, where do you think I should start? I really like what I hear from The Ramones (for example), but when I go into a record store, I find myself staring down the barrel of some 20-odd cds and I'm a bit intimidated, haha. sweatdrop
Artists whose alblums I already have (asterick'd means I intend to buy more): *Beck Bloc Party The Bravery *The Chemical Brothers Coldplay The Crystal Method The Dead 60s Diamond Nights *Eels *The Flaming Lips Franz Ferdinand Gnarls Barkley Gorillaz *Hot Hot Heat Ima Robot Junior Senior The Killers *Ladytron *Le Tigre Louis XIV Metric Peaches The Postal Service Rock Kills Kid She Wants Revenge *The Strokes Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I've seen him in concert twice and watched Star Wars Episode III with him. He complimented my Jedi outfit, which was actually just my samurai outfit. Also, I have his latest album signed by him. No, I'm not as crazy about him as I sound, but I sure hope I pulled it off well.
