I really think they're messed up. For all you know, the person you're marrying could be the exact opposite of what you think they are.

if you only encounter them online, then you only see their online persona, so it does'nt matter what their like in real life. if you marry them for real with only internet contact, then i agree with your statment. what does an online only (aka never meet them in real life) marrige curtail? How does being married change anything? im interseted to know.

are you trying to blantantly offend the person who is getting married on this guild? People can choose to do what they want to do, and you know what, it's none of your business what people do on their own time. You can advise people not to get married online for a few reasons, but I suggest you not right out insult them like you are doing with this post.

It depends on whether it's an actual marriage or just a, "*gigglegiggle* we're married just 'cuz I said so," thing. I don't like online relationships and the such, having experienced such things. They aren't pleasant things; you tend to get hurt more than "local" relationships. So actual online marriage is rather silly. xp

You can advise people not to get married online for a few reasons, but I suggest you not right out insult them like you are doing with this post. just as one is free to do somthing, one is equaly free to state thier opinions about it. having differing veiwpoints and disscusinig them is the nature of a message board. instead of being afraid to post because somwon thinks your wrong, be glad to exsplain to them why you think it's ok. Personly, i did not read this as an insult. She raised what to her is a problem with online marriges. Lady chiro is in a unique position to answer her questions. it did question somthing lady chiro was doing, but did not in anyway flame lady chiro for doing so. A diffrence of opinion is not a personal insualt, but an opertunity for an exchange of idea's so everyone involed can learn aout each other and the issue at hand.

Omnispork makes a good point (as he does most of the time, the rest of the what he says is crap biggrin ). My advice, lighten up. I personally don't see what's so appealing about this online marriage facade. I think these people might just be lonely and we need to give them our support!! Or they're just screwing around and mean nothing by them. Whatever turns your crank.

Aye! "Nothing is at last sacred but the integrety of your own mind." If an online marrige is fun for you then go for it! I am interseted to know if it's a True wedding or a purely online thing. if it is just online then Sweetnightmares problems with onlines marriges dont realy apply.
Yo, spacecowboy, WHY dont you think online marriges are dumb? it does me no good to know your opinion if you dont exsplain how you came to your conclusion.
