Kaisou had met two wolves in the last week- a bust time for her. Now she was darting through the forest, feeling the wind through her fur. Her crimson eyes followed her feet, making sure that this time she would manage not to fall in a ditch.

Now breathing heavily, she stopped. She knew this place, the one she had been looking for once again. It was her home, where she was born. She sniffed the ground, pondering for a moment. Her Da, the wolf she was looking for, was gone. She did not know why, but he had left a while ago. Her eyes dulled and ears flicked back and forth in a mid-feeling experiment.

She sat down on her haunches, remembering the field and river attached to her old den. Now she did not know what to do or where to go. Her home was now empty, and she was now alone. She just realized it was what she wanted all along- she just didn't know what she thought about it yet.

It was rare that Solan ventured anywhere on her own - or at least, made it know she was without her sister. The female could slide aroud the trees better than a snake when Raja wasn't about cursing and growling up a storm. Even so, Solan had a tendancy to stay in one place more often than not. She liked sleeping during the day. It was only on special occasions that she wandered far in the heat of the day, rarer still when she poked her head out of her conniving to say hello.

This was a rare occasion.

The white wolf swiveled one set of eyes - in truth, the only ones she could - toward the smell of someone...someone she hadn't watched yet. For a moment, seized by thought and standing stock still, she listened and smelled, rolling the possibilities scientifically about. And then she shifted, twitched her tail and both ears, and moved quietly through the trees toward the smell. Female, the smell said. Younger - but many here were.

She surfaced abruptly from the trees, peering curiously put into the clearing at the other wolf.

Kaisou turned, smelling the other wolf down wind. She looked at her, measuring her size, look, and threat percentile. She stayed still, her ears forward and her nose toward the stranger.

After a few moments of silence, she spoke up. "Hello," she said, keeping her eyes on the female and staying completely alert. "...I am Kaisou." She paused, choosing each word carefully. "And you are?"

Pukio
Bright colors; the pup looked faintly like someone Solan had seen in the woods long, long ago, but she couldn't quite pin it down. Perhaps it was her imagination, or visions of a past her memory twisted as it faded. Not that it particularly mattered.

One pair of eyes blinked thoughtfully at the young female. Kaisou. She'd remember it. Slowly, a smile spread across the older female's features; the sort of smile that's discomforting, but for some reason difficult to say.

"I'm Solan, dear. What are you doing out here on your own?"

Sono Heishi Mitsukai
The number of eyes on the wolf amazed Kai as she glanced over her. "Solan- nice to meet you," she said, keeping her gaze. "Alone?" she repeated in a questioning tone. She thought about it, not exactly sure the other female was trustworthy as of yet. The smile she wore on her face didn't help, Kai shifting in minute discomfort.

A second passed when she formulated her answer. "I stopped to decide what direction I will be heading in next." With this her eyes moved and then set their place again.

Something in her brain clicked as she pressed her toes into the dirt matted ground. "What brought you here?" Her eyebrow raised at her question, as well as the eye-matted coat that Kai still could not get over. Considering she was at her birthplace, she just noticed how unexpected a guest truly was.

Pukio
"In that case," Solan murmured, one ear twitching to the East as if she intended to look there - though her attention didn't stray from the younger female. "East is a good direction. Good things come from there, so perhaps if you head in that direction you'll find something worthwhile. -In the very least, you'll see a good sunrise or two in the time you point yourself that way."

Smiling dully, Solan considered sitting and then scratched the idea. The younger one might be offended if she appeared so bored with the meeting as to sit down.

"I smelled you, so I came. Not complicated, nor peotical."

Sono Heishi Mitsukai
Seeing that Kai was already sitting when Solan arrived, she did not shift from her position, nor knew that it was improper editcate.

"East," she said, nodding. "Alright, I'll take your word for it." A trustworthy answer on her part, seeing as though it could be a trap. She thought to herself that Solan did not look like someone who would try to sabotage her, but then she really thought about it and realized that Solan did.

She stopped herself from shrugging, unsure of what the wolf wanted or expected of her. Kai did not even know what she was thinking of doing. Yes, she wanted to see her father, but most of all she wanted to be safe in her travels. That was something she needed to do soon- find someone to travel with.

Flashing back into the conversation after her A.D.D. moment, Kai managed a smile. She was going to crack a stupid comment about hoping to smell alright, but she held it back. "Do you normally wander into places with wolves you don't know?" she asked wonderingly. That'd take alot of guts if it was done on a daily basis- well, in Kai's opinion it would.

Pukio
Solan snorted, a bark of a laugh. "Don't be ridiculous, dear - that would be idiotic. I usually just watch, but..." She paused, unsettling smile fading back into a rather neutral expression. "Well, excuse me for saying dear, but you don't look very threatening."

Besides, Kaisou smelled alone. There was relatively low risk that she'd have lackeys ready to come eat her. Nevermind the fact that sometimes it was good to extend the olive branch to the loners. One never knew when a new aquaintence might come in handy... Especially in times 'like these.'

Sono Heishi Mitsukai
She frowned instictively, but it passed soon after. She told herself she was still young and didn't know enough to be threatening- not to mention she was temperate.

"Well, you're right about that. Though, I could put up a fight if I needed to," she assured, nodding her head once. After that, she just switched the subject, finding herself talking about protecting herself if she ever needed to pointless.

Suddenly, only loud enough for those close by the hear, Kai's stomach rumbled. She hadn't eaten in about a week, since that was when she left her Da... But she had not thought about her basic needs. She realized she would now that she was alone. Right, she was a loner now. That seemed odd to her, because she immediately wondered who she could find to be around.

"So," she started, stopping after finding she had nothing to say. "I guess you know alot of useful life information." She said this off handedly, thinking she needed to go off and find food, water (Which she had, but she planned on moving away.), and shelter (Also here.)

She flicked her tail at a bug randomly and then readjusted her position to compress her rumbling tummy.

Pukio
Solan bit back her amusement, forcing her expression to remain relatively passive in the face of the other wolf's grumbling stomach. "I suppose you could say that," she murmured, ears pricked and tail twitching faintly back and forth. Bugs. She hated this heat.

"Sounds like you're hungry, dear." And that, she decided, was her cue. Shifting, Solan turned slightly back in the way she'd come, peering over her shoulder back at Kaisou. "If you are indeed hungry, and that's not simply your stomach complaining unjustly, I'd recommend coming this way."

Sono Heishi Mitsukai
Kaisou watched her as she moved, not speaking when she made her first comment. How stupid Solan must think she was. She kept herself from blushing in embarrassment.

She had always been good at hunting. Ever since Kai was little, she took an immediate liking to the chase and reward of her actions. But with that liking came her bloodlust.

When Kai was little, she found a bunny, killed it, then enjoyed its carcass. After that, her muzzle filled with blood, she did not stop until she could not eat anymore. That was when she was away from her father. She did not know how she would react when around another wolf. Knowing her luck, she'd break into some crazy fit and attack something around her, or even herself.

She shifted back and forth nervously, but she had already decided she'd get up and go. Placing each foot in its predestined pattern, she matched the gait and trail of Solan. "I'm not bad at this," she said, trying to justify her young age and sunsequentally brighten Solan's hopes for the hunt. Kai assuming that the female already doubted her. Another doing of her conscience kicking in and convincing her of something that had not taken place.

Pukio
"Excellent," Solan murmured almost absentmindedly as she padded her way back through the trees. "Raja may want to meet you then." Chuckling, probably aware that Kaisou might not understand the reference, nor the humor in the statement, Solan continued on until they were well away from the clearing which they'd first met - or at least far enough that the smell of abandonment had faded behind them.

"There's a copse of trees in this direction," she explained easily, the words rolling off her tongue. "Deer frequent there." A deer would be good for a lone wolf like Kaisou; give her a meal, and then something to tear off and bury for later.

Sono Heishi Mitsukai
"Who is Raja?" she questioned lightly, padding along behind her. Kai would meet her if she had the chance. She enjoyed people that liked her. It was much better than people who wanted to kill her anyday.

"Okay," she replied, taking note about the thing with the deer and the trees. "Got it," she barely mumbled to herself, gazing ahead of them with her crimson eyes.

The thing she enjoyed most about hunting with Solan was that she explained herself but not in a all-knowing manner. Though she had an idea of what was happening, she was still a grown pup and needed whatever advantages she could manage.

Keeping up with Solan, she kept herself low but sniffed the air frequently, inhaling deeply and dechipering the scents that came with it. She also noticed the ground was firm enough to run through, and considering the lack of rain the entire week, there wouldn't be any sink holes or random ditches to fall in. She seemed to have trouble with those...
