Pippin Tolcher; A man of quirky behaviour and subtle intelligence, he and his wife secretly work as thieves, though it's obvious he's not the brains of the operation. Instead, he offers many laughs as well as pitiful and often painful obliviousness.
Phoenix Adrian; Sister to Pippin, she's a student by day and a mother to countless children by night. Despite taking too many kids under her wing, she is often sarcastic and rather cynical, offering a different P.O.V. than most would care to see.
Madeline Adrian; Absolutely wonderful in the kitchen, Maddy loves music as much as she loves children - endlessly. She is Phoenix's oldest and acts as a second and very effective mother to the children of the household.
Tobias Adrian; Rarely seen around the house, he prefers flight and adventure rather than sitting around in the house like his sister would. Solitary, strong, dedicated; Tobes is the serious yet mysterious older brother figure.
Yuka Adrian; Formerly a normal Japenese girl, Yuka struggles to adapt to the more conventional household of the Adrians, though is a fast learner. She enjoys mangas, drawing, and helping Madeline as often as she can remain helpful.
April Tolcher; A silent and mysterious girl, April is Pippin's first child. She remains a closed book, but her and her turtle daemon hold much more than they choose to reveal. She is closest to her brother Dare mainly due to a certain court experience.
Emiko Adrian; Mute since birth, Emiko carries with her a whiteboard to write out things she cannot communicate without her verbal skills. Despite her disability, she is an enthusiastic child with high hopes, enjoying playing with her brother Zaeth.
Zaeth Adrian; Based after a song Phoenix holds close to her heart, Zaeth is a fallen angel. He holds in him a great saddness that he can't begin to interpret at his young age, prefering to forget about it momentarily with Emiko as his main distraction.
Aran Adrian; A troublemaker from the beginning, Aran rarely sits still for more than five minutes. His favourite spot is the junkyard, bringing home odds and ends to amuse and frighten his roommate Phoebe with, choosing her as his main delight in life. He is based after the colour orange.
Phoebe Adrian; Not the brightest crayon in the box, Phoebe is based after the inanimate object of an orange balloon. She loves to laugh, and her favourite person is Aran - even if he might say a lot of nasty things to her, most of which she doesn't realize are insults. She's a tiny girl with a huge heart.
Gollum Adrian; He's a skitzophrenic undergoing in home treatment under Phoenix's care. Although most doctors wave him off as a failed case, this doesn't stop the family from their endless attempts to rehabilitate him into a civil environment. He resists being separated from his beat-up teddy.
Calliope Adrian; The last of Phoenix's line of Skull Monkey, she is a princess-type battling the urges to get her paws dirty and live a little. Enjoying the life of a prissy female, she also likes to endulge in the less elegant lifestyle... once in a while.
Elijah Tolcher-Adrian; Originating from a mirror, he reflects an image greatly resembling his guardian, Tobias. He retains both names as he is under the joint care of Pippin, also. He too loves the freedoms his wings provide, finding himself more at home in the skies away from people than with both feet in the grass.
Risk; Discovered by Dare, he inhabits the clothing of the musician and emerges at the most convient of times, living on his own schedule. He refuses to conform to standards and rules, liking to make up his own guidelines to live by, making him a tough little mouse to put up with.
