I know little to nothing about music now-a-days. I rarely listen to music that doesn't involve FF or something Japanese.

I'm a ska fan, so I usually reccomend Reel Big Fish, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and The Aquabats. As far as rock and alternative rock are concerned, I reccomend bands among the likes of Goldfinger, We Are Scientists, and Gorillaz. Some other good bands are Daft Punk (Electronica), Mindless Self Indulgence (Industrial), and DragonForce (Metal).

Seems like I enjoy light music, preferably Japanese. I had a friend of mine send me some Japanese Rock, and I didn't like it one bit.
There was this one band I used to love, but I can't remember their name. It was J-pop...

Daft Punk is good. Especially One More Time, Aerodynamic, and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
Beyond that I've a few suggestions: Suicide Commando - Bleed For Us All, Conspiracy With The Devil, Torment Me, We Are The Sinners, Consume Your Vengance, Assemblage 23 - Drive, Anthem, Ground, Naked, Opened, Cocoon, Coward, Bi-Polar De/Vision - Aimee, Turn Me On, Obey Your Heart, The End Backandtotheleft - Obsolete, Misstep, False Alarm I Am The World Trade Center - Belive In Me, No Expectations, Love Tragedy Funker Vogt - Killing Ground, Friendly Fire, No Tomorrow, Take Care! Covenant - Brave New World, Happy Man, Call The Ships To Port VNV Nation - Chrome, Arena, Entropy, Perpetual, Further, Epicentre Ferry Corsten - Punk, "Rock Your Body, Rock", Kyoto, Sweet Sorrow Neuroticfish - The Bomb, No More Ghosts
I don't have any way to send you the songs though, except for some of the VNV Nation songs. Not too sure on that. sweatdrop

I really don't listen to much, but use the Anime Yume Radio a lot when I'm just on my comp. Has a lot of random J songs.

Neo X-Death Seems like I enjoy light music, preferably Japanese. I had a friend of mine send me some Japanese Rock, and I didn't like it one bit. There was this one band I used to love, but I can't remember their name. It was J-pop... Light? Bah! I'll throw down a little of what's on my list anyway. It follows some of the flavors of Langlen's music. After Forever Arch Enemy Deep Purple Einherjer Gwar Judas Priest Primal Fear The Sword Testament Therion If I were you, I'd definitely check out Therion. One of, if not my favorite bands ever. Versatility man. Jumping from album to album you sometimes ask yourself "wow, this is the same band?" A lot of it is sort of a fuse of symphony and metal. What makes it different from all the other symphony metal bands is that they came the closest to perfection.

I mainly listen to game remixes off OverClocked, but I also like to listen to any type of hard rock/metal.

Metallica - Go for Ride the Lightning, ...And Justice for All, Garage Inc., and S&M Albums.
Iced Earth - All their stuff is great, but to me, thier Burnt Offerings Album was the best.
Iron Maiden - Powerslave and Killers albums = Their best Studio recorded work. Especially the song "Killers". Awesome to rock out to.
While you're at it, check out these guys as well:
Stratovarius Ayreon Sonata Arctica Behemoth Turisas Judas Priest Pantera In Flames Primus
