Laying in the pack's den was Mboni, the packs newest Nanny, and member. Her plans for today had been changed dramaically. What was to be spent checking out the packs furthur, turned out to be a baby sitting job for one of Dhati's children. She still hadn't met any of the other pack members, but, the adult was looking forward to meeting another wild dog of the Mpinzani, and it was a pup too.
The female was now on her feet. Anxious to meet this young child. Maybe she could ask her about the pup Dhati was searching for the other day. Maybe this pup could sway decisions about a family for herself. Only this meeting with one of Dhati's several children would hold some answers for Mboni.

(( I'll find his pic in just a sec, basically he's a mix of all his parent's colours, cream, white, dark reddish brown. ))
Obeying his parents wishes Uzushi had remained close to the den. There was fear spreading throughout the pack of strange beings called hoo-mans but why they upset everyone Uzushi didn't udnerstand. He had been all over the place and never once met any dangerous two-legged creatures. In fact he had only met happy, nice and cheerful people who wanted nothing more than to be his friend.
He had been told that an adult named Mboni would be taking care of him today and she was the one he searched for, aqua eyes scanning the area.
It was then that he caught the scent of another and with no hesitation trotted quickly in the direction, coming to a halt and lowering himself in the grass.
What are you doing? Kalpana asked in his mind.
"Pouncing!" Uzushi whispered - perhaps a little too loudly as he practised stalking the other. Apparently she was in the main den, which would make sneaking hard, but nevermind, it was worth a try.
Scampering along the ground Uzushi flung himselfinto the entrance and gave a loud yip. "'Ello!"

Mboni remained still, unfased by the pups attempt a suprising her. It seemed whilst the younger of the pair was sneaking around, Mboni had picked up the scent of another wild dog, and assumed it was the youngster she was to be taking care of. Her assumtion was correct.
"Hello young one, come inside, it is much warmer, and I can hve a better look at you, and we can get to know each other. I am Mboni, I assume you are one of Dhati's pups, and that I am to be taking care of you?" She inquired, probably bombarding the young one with a a bit too much information for an introduction, but the adult sill needed to work out how to communicate with pups. Especially since she was now a nanny.

"Yup, he's my pap!" Uzushi moved forwards and pressed his nose against the female's side, beginning his routine sniffing, trying to pick out the scents of others she had been with. "Yup, he said it's not safe round here no mores so he doesn't like me going off by myself even though I'd never get caught. I'm too smart!" He wagged his tail and beamed, ears folding back slightly as he gazed at the reddish-brown hues of her coat.
"You have pretty furs, it a bit like pap's but not quite, and you smell nice too, like flowers and earth, it makes my nose happy." He nodded, green eyes sparkling as he padded softly at a scampering ant. "Oh, I'm Uzushi'bueta, but yah can shorten it however you like, no one calls me by the fall name on account of it being so long and all." He shook his head furiously and gave another small happy yip.. "I'd introduce you to my friend but she's not about at the moment. Perhaps another time!"
Uzushi, as always, seemed to be rather hyperactive.

Mboni gave a warm smile to the young wild dog pup. He seemed nice, and she was glad to have company. She didn't like to be alone anymore. Not now that she had found a pack to stay with. She gave a small chortle as the pup mentioned sneaking off without his father noticing. It sounded like one of her brothers. "You look like a smart little pup as well! And strong too might I add." Flattery was always good, and especially when you might have a handful of either trouble or no trouble at all.
"I am glad I smell nice. It would be no fun if you had a smelly nanny to put up with!" She said to Uzushi, and gave another of her warm smiles. "Your name is nice. You must be proud, and I would love to meet your friend some time!" She continued, her eyes never straying from the young dog.

He puffed out his chest with slight pride, maw opening in a grin as he tried to make himself seem 'strong.' No one had ever called him that before and he thought it quite the compliment. "I do my bestest!" He said, smiling cheerfully. He had his mother's energy and his father's strength, but Uzushi was neither leader nor follower, in his hear he was a lone wanderer, just him, Kalpana and the endless world.
"She's usually around, you'll definately have to meet her, she's an amazing person." He yipped, "so what are we up to today? Hunting? Playing, lounging n the sun? Buzzy watching?" His eyes glittered with curiosity.

"I'm sure she is!" Mboni said, referring to the unknown friend Uzushi was talking about. "As for plans... I don't have much, I would have liked to catch up with a young Wild Dog male that I met the other day, he taught me to hunt again!" She continued, reminiscing about a few days before.
"But I am here looking after you, so is there anything you want to do?" She asked the young pup.

He stared into her mismatched eyes with wonder, enjoying the fact that she was happy, cheerful and apparently full of energy. She'd make a good caretaker that was for sure!
He turned his head to gaze outside of the den and nodded quietly to himself.
"My pap taught me to hunt though I didn't do very well." His ears drooped slightly. "Perhaps you can give me some hints?" He turned back to gaze pleadingingly at her. "That way I can surprise my father when he takes me hunting again!"
"I know where some mice live, and where some rabbits live. It's not very far and we don't have to be gone long." Once again he turned puppy eyes at her, green orbs twinkling with innocence.
