i was just wondering...i havent seen the ayashi no ceres anime yet but i've heard "scarlet" and the instrumental "condolence" (or something like that sweatdrop ). And i already said i have the first seven episodes for FY. So i looked for the songs on the internet and currently have the OP and ending for the first season (tokimeki no doukasen & itooshii hito no tame ni) then i found "star" and "Ashita no Watashi wo Shinjitai" and last of all i have an AMV of tamahome's theme song.
putting all my personal info aside, which series has the better sounds? Fushigi Yuugi or Ayashi no Ceres?

I'd have to go with Ayashi no Ceres's music, if only for Iwao Junko's "Scarlet" alone. That song was amazing. I'd like to think that they both had good music but I just prefer AyaCere's... It's a bit depressing, which is a plus.
P.S. Most of the character vocals for Fushigi Yuugi just sucked. Blarg.

That's unfair to FY comparing its poor music to the beautiful songs of AnC. Scarlet and the ending music (Kogo Yo Ga something... it's a long name) are really good. whee Take a look at www.gendou.com, they have tons of songs to download, including many from FY and a few from Anc.

Ayashi no Ceres,because I;ve seen the anime and the music ges good with it.But FY music is different,because there alot of songs.Oh,I can't make up my mind.

Takiko-chan That's unfair to FY comparing its poor music to the beautiful songs of AnC. Well, I think I missed some... I looked through my WMP playlist so that's possible. When searching them, it's better to type Fushigi Yuugi then see it there's any similar music to these... Because I may have misspelled some names.

Tsuki no Nai Yoru (the song in the 2nd OVA) is my favorite... so haunting and beautiful. The lyrics as well--very creepy and dark but in a lovely way.

I voted for AnC music, mostly because the sheer amount of FY music disinterested me. AnC is half the length and has a better feel instrumentally and lyrically with music. Fushigi Yuugi does have some great songs, but I find myself listening to AnC music more often. Though both series don't have that great of music in comparison to say like The Twelve Kingdoms or even .hack series'.
