I don't like that it's not showing the threads that I've been in and the new ones in different colors. gonk With my limited time online I really like having an idea of where I've been already.

Yes but didn't you all hate the other one too? Change is hard to get used to, but this one is meant to stay. The fishscale is gone like everyone wanted, replaced with more white like apparently a lot of people wanted. Things are still in their little tabs, but you just have to find them by clicking and then going. If you can't find something that is normally easy to find, then looked at the bottom where it says "Gaia A to Z" and you can find it quickly.
It all goes to say, becareful what you wish for, or they might chance it again in two months and you all will be like. "KFSHJDGKHD! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Not to mention, I head a lot of people wishing for the original layout, but with all the new things it would have been crammed with buttons. Back then it was just "Private messages, Inbox, Map, Forums and Dress up" Now it's Guilds, Games, Map, Forums, Journals, Towns, Inventory, Profile page with more to it... And so on. So would you rather each item be placed in their specific placed or just a screen of buttons. Like a giant electrical board...?
Sorry, but I know it's not the "best" layout in your eyes, but it's nesscisary. I do have my complaints but that doesn't make this crap.... D" Sorry.
