Walking through a small clearing, Tifa Lockhart couldn't help but wonder what she was doing here. This place was rather odd and how she came upon it was a mystery. But besides that, she had to admit, there were some gorgeous things here. The mare shook her mane tiredly and looked around with her hazel eyes, her tail flickering back and forth. The sun was shining on her pale coat and slowly, she walked towards the shade of a tree to escape the heat.
Wearing clothing wasn't helping her much in that area, but she didn't mind it too much. The pink ribbon tied to her front leg fluttered slightly as the wind came past her. What a quiet day...

Quiet probably wasn't the word someone would have used if they were local for everytime someone deemed a place 'quiet' there was always someone or something that had the desire to prove otherwise whether or not they were aware of said person's presence to begin with...
"So raccoons weren't a good idea, I get it!" The female voice snapped a little distance away, obviously from somewhere within the trees as the tell tale sounds of heavy hoof falls upon the undergrowth could be heard, "How was I supposed to know they would love the shiny wolf-head-thing on your shoulder?!"
"Because they are very much like you," A male voice replied coolly, a small snort easily heard as they drew nearer, "They have an insatiable curiosity and do not know the meaning of the word 'NO'!"
"Oho, you're so funny - I do know the meaning of that word I just choose to ignore it and more to the..." The red mare trailed away as she came onto the clearing and caught sight of the clothed soquili beneath the tree but this one was a mare.
"IT'S ANOTHER ONE!" She squealed delightedly as she hopped from hoof to hoof, the male soquili appearing shortly after to fix her with a distasteful gaze before flicking his eyes towards Tifa, it was only then that he was overwhelmed with a sense of de ja vu.
Did he know her?
"Do ye know her?" Yei voiced his own question and he shook his head dismissively as the red mare barrelled forward leaving him with no other choice but to follow.
"No, apparently I do not, but that will not stop you." He muttered irritably, breaking into a trot to catch up with the eccentric mare as she screeched to a halt and flashed an equine smile.
"You have clothes, they look so snazzeh!" She took a breath as she bopped her head towards Cloud, "He as clothes to, are you related?"
"I apologise in advance for any mental trauma my guide may cause you." Cloud stated flatly, causing Yei to cast him a scathing glance.

The mare's ears swivel as she hears some disturbance nearby. I wonder who is making so much noise... The mare turned her head softly and squinted. Two soquili were obviously talking to each other and walking towards her. Tifa couldn't help but tilt her head softly. Why... did that blonde soquili look so... familiar? But she knew for sure that she had never met such a soquili.
Tifa blinked rapidly as Yei approached her. "Oh. Um. Thank you?" This other mare was so odd, she couldn't help but wonder who she was. Tifa didn't reply to what Cloud said since she definitely was not sure what to say now. Their entrance had been very surprising, since she didn't think there were other soquili around here.

Why had she looked at Cloud that way? He'd done the very same thing! Yei's ears perked somewhat as she took note of this and glanced between the pair, so obviously they weren't related but there was definately something unspoken between the two...ooooh, it enstilled her with so much curiosity!
"You really don't talk much do you?" The red mare enquired thoughtfully as she glanced at Tifa and then back to Cloud who seemed to be staring at the mare critically.
"This grumpy guts is Cloud, I'm Yei...s'pleasure!" She introduced herself and her companion at last before canting her head to the side, "And you are?"

Tifa tilted her head softly and shrugged, "I guess I don't." She could be rather talkative if she wanted but she was a little too startled to really try and start up any conversation. Her mind was still thinking about if she had met the stallion before or not... Hmm... She had a feeling that this wouldn't be the only time she was going to think of this meeting.
"Quite a pleasure to meet you Yei," She nodded to the mare, "And Cloud." Then she nodded to the stallion. "I go by Tifa. Tifa Lockhart but just Tifa." She smiled softly and continued to observe the two.

"Cloud Strife," Cloud gave a nod as if to point out the fact that she wasn't the only one to have a surname, even so he was catsing a very scathing glance towards Yei who puffed up her chest (and cheeks) in response before muttering incoherently.
"Oh well fine, I'll go and play with the raccoons." The red mare grumbled as she flicked her tail, head her held high and began to strut off with her long mane rippling with each beat of her hooves, Cloud wasn't entirely certain as to whether or not she knew how odd it looked.
...She probably didn't.
"Sorry about that, she's a bit...odd?"

Even the name sounded familiar, how odd... Tifa pushed the thought to the crevices of her mind and focused her attention onto the soquili in front of her. But she nodded to him as he spoke. "Alright. Have fun then, Yei."
As the mare left, Tifa smiled softly at Cloud, her chestnut brown hair fluttering across her face. "Just a tad." She chuckled nervously hoping the mare was far enough so she didn't hear her. Tifa pawed at the ground, she wasn't nervous but she just wasn't sure what to say. With the thoughts and him right there, it was difficult to think or say much without getting tongue-tied.

Alright, so he would admit it but only to himself - he was not one for conversation and Yei tended to sort that probably right out by never shutting up, it was in this circumstance that he wished he could have at least borrowed her love for socialising as it would have proved useful.
"I admit that without her I would be a bit lost though..." He wasn't exactly sure what to say but the eccentric soquili seemed like a safe topic to go on, there wa just one thing plaguing him.
"Do I know you?" He blurted out before wincing and shaking his head, he should have kept that in his head!

The petite mare continued to observe him quietly. "Ah..." She paused and raised a brow at his question. He was thinking the exact same thing she was? Maybe they had met before, but she just couldn't remember? How weird. Now she wasn't completely sure of herself.
"I really... don't know. You seem very... very familiar to me but I just can't place my hoof on it." She couldn't help but frown slightly, but she quickly perked up. Hey, she was here in this gorgeous place, talking to another soquili. She was obviously a rather optimistic soquili. Oh dear, once again her thoughts were wandering, and she attempted to refocus back on Cloud.

"So I am not losing my mind then," He mused and then canted his head to the side, his brow furrowing as one thought struck him - had he not lost his mind before as well? This was all very odd but he couldn't help but wonder if there was a part of him that was missing.
"Just checking." He added before turning his gaze back towards her. It wasn't that he was shy or anything but conversation had never been his strong point, he had always felt that it was unnecessary in many circumstances, so why was it now he needed it?
"So..." He turned his gaze back towards the mountains that lay on the horizon, "Where do you hail from?"

Tifa giggled softly, "Guess I'm not either." This was rather amusing to her actually, her first time out in this clearing, and she already meets two strange personalities. What an eventful day...
Finally, she summed up the other soquili, he seemed really handsome, but she made no note of it. As he asked the question, Tifa paused. Oh yea. "Oh, I came from a small teepee near a rather large lake." Tifa nodded to the east of her. "It's um... somewhere in that forest." She chuckled nervously, "What about you?" But her expression quickly turned into a soft smile.

"I..." He furrowed his brow a little more as he kept his gaze on the mountains and then slowly he began to shake his head, his blonde mane clipping gently against his palimino coat.
"I came from the desert," He said finally and released a sigh, "As to where exactly, I don't really know, it all looks the same there but I somehow managed to find the Clearing and now I live -" He paused and motioned with his muzzle towards the mountainside, about half-way up.
"Up there, with the insane mare and her even more insane two-legger." He gave a soft, embarassed smile before raising a brow.
"Are you lost..?"

"I see..." Tifa paused slightly. Oh, he lived with the other mare? Did that mean that they were... together? She shook off the thought, she shouldn't have even been thinking of that. Not that it really mattered to her...
She tilted her head at his question, "Lost? Hm..." Maybe she was, she had wandered in here by accident and now she wasn't sure which way she had come from. Tifa smiled sheepishly, "Maybe..." She had just arrived here actually, and she still wasn't familiar with the territory.

"Ah, well that is not good." Cloud mused, his tone vague as he flicked his gaze briefly towards the forest and then back towards the young mare beside him, she seemed to be a little younger but not by much so perhaps he had known her from when he was a foal?
"You said you lived in the forest?" He seemed to need confirmation that he had heard correctly and promptly shook his head, as though shaking the doubt from his mind, "Do you remember what it looked like, perhaps you would be able to recognise land features or fruits on trees?" He continued before quirking a brow, his eyes flicking up towards the eagle in the sky.
"Or...animals."

"Yea. That's not good." Tifa grinned sheepishly and then gazed back up at him. It was a curious thought about whether she knew him previously or not but... she would try to not let it bother her too terribly much.
Tifa nodded softly, "Yes. Somewhere... in there." She giggled softly and knew there was a lake beside it but she had seen many rivers and who knew if the teepee was south or north from here. "Well. There was a lake right next to it. I'm not sure how many rivers there are here though..."
She tilted her head curiously and gazed at the sky. Animals? Animals always moved... so... how could...? The soquili shook her head softly and returned her thoughts to Cloud.
