Hi there. I just read on deathnote.org that the DN movie was released in Japan a few days ago. Since it's already out now, how long do you think it will take for a subbed version to reach the internet?

Dunno, but you better believe I'm gonna download it when I can.
I actually read a summary of it yesterday, saying everything that happens in the movie... Even though it clocks in at 2.5 hours, it ends with the first meeting of L and Light. events occur in totally different ways from the manga, though... Sounds like they kinda dumbed Light down (I.E. He confronts Penber outright, not waiting for Penber to interact with him... He pulls out the DN in public... etc.), but it still sounds like it's worth seeing.

Mhmm, someone will probably add subtitles to it and put it on the internet sooner or later.
Then I can watch it. smile ... and buy the DVD later on, of course.

Yeah, it came out on the 17th, I believe. Man, if only DeathNote had a bigger fanbase, then we'd have the subbed version on the Internet the day it came out - like with Advent Children xD I'm hoping someone uploads a subbed version soon because I'm definitely not watching it raw... and of course I'll buy the DVD :3 Unless the DVDs are Japan only and won't work on my American DVD player ;0;

will it be coming to the US like normal movies, --to movie theaters then to DVD or what?
Cause if it's just on the internet for us americans, I'm screwed, my computer sucks...
