I was wondering....how the hell do you people play while standing up? I tried it and I can't see the strings or frets, and I can't play unless I see the strings or frets.
What do you do, memorize the guitar question xp

How long have you been playing? You get a feel for it after a while. Your hands start to know where to go for what sound. You should probably practice standing up, too. Practice'll always help you to get better.

After you've been playing for a long time, you get a feel for the guitar and you know it like the back of your hand.
It just takes a while to get used to your guitar.

Practice playing the guitar in the dark. That was probably the biggest way for me to develop a real feel for the fretboard; I learned where I was, what I was playing, and how it sounded, all without looking at it.

I've only been playing for about a week, and I don't have much of a problem playing standing up....it's still easier to play sitting down, mind, but I didn't see standing up as much of an issue

You'll get the hang of it once you've practiced it awhile like everyone said!

Like everyone else has said, Just start practicing without looking at your guitar, or even in the dark. For me, the feel for the guitar eventually came to me naturally. Its just one of those things. Also, guitars have sidemarkers for a reason wink

Like everyone else said. Also, try laying down and playing, you get basically the same practice, without getting tired by standing. But I still have a little trouble soloing while standing. So don't feel bad if you can't play standing up well.
