Icebound Sanctuary
Just like the name states, this area, located far east of Ria high, over many hills and plains, can be seen normally, but has hardly been discovered by any archeologist. The forest ends abrubtly, and then the cold iceland begins, extending over many miles. The only thing that is visible is a large building, covered with a sheer plate of snow. Around the area, dead trees linger, branches about ready to fall off from a long frozen death, and little greenery other than small bushes that manage to survive in the cold linger around the entire area. During the summer, there is no change, as the cold hangs around like a deadly virus, and stays that way all year long.
As for the temple itself, large steel doors can barely be seen behind the coating of ice, but are visible, as many carvings are made into the door, as well as scratches of fingernails of those who found a place to stay, but froze to death. The only possible way to enter is to smash through the ice somehow, or have a water manipulator aid the one trying to get in. Inside of the area, what appeared to once be holy eventually turned into a place of worship for Satan, and then was abandoned completely by all living beings.
Not a very spectacular show, the palace is merely empty, and pure ivory, not to mention very warm inside, for an unknown reason. In the middle of the area a large fountain stands, about 10 feet tall, and continues to pour out a red liquid to this day; blood. Anyone who dare touches the fountain will find themselves cursed, and eventually the evil in their soul will come out, leaving them empty and hollow with nothing but thoughts of death. At the very front of the building, a large stained glass coats about 45 feet of the wall, as a very vivid picture of Lucifer falling into hell can be seen. Directly below that stands a pedestal about three feet high, crumbled from use of prisoners and sacrifices. Red stains coat the pedestal, and chains can also be seen along the walls and on the floor, for keeping the victim secure. A few chairs are scattered here and there.
Altogether, the temple isn't a very safe place to go, as one can often feel the presence of the deceased around the area, or those who were killed as sacrifices. What else lies in the temple, or its true purpose is yet to be known...

Stepping out of the portal, Tomoro's grey hair swiveled to the left as a chilly breeze passed her face. She had never been near this place before... and she didn't like it. The cold killed everything.. Stepping away from the void, she made her way toward the building as if in a trance, and grazed her fingers along the frozen wall.
It...didn't seem like it wanted to budge. Closing her eyes halfway, and touching the door with her index finger, a rock about seven feet erupted from the ground, smashing into the ice... but instead it just shattered into many pieces, crumbling at Tomoro's feet. I need.. more power... or... fire.. Fire... wasn't that what she was afraid of? Something she ran from...? To be honest, Tomoro couldn't even remember what... she was so frightened about.
Sighing and putting one hand on her forehead, rubbing her temples, she walked around in a circle for a moment, shivering all the way. "So... cold... how will I open this...?" Turning to Scythen, she let out a weary glance at him, and then looked away to the ground, as if she had failed him, which she probably had done...

Stepping out of the portal, he looked around for a few moments and began to inspect the area. It was just as it had been when it was once used as a Sanctuary to offer sacrifices and praise to Satan and the demons of Hell.. the cold was probably immense for any normal being, yet he did not feel even the slightest chill as his hair was blew to the left, along with the cold breeze.
Scythen began to follow closely behind Tomoro, looking to her with focused eyes as he watched her every movement. He watched her as she placed a finger against a door, and his head suddenly turned to the rock that erupted from the ground, the same strict look over his face, even as it crumbled at Tomoro's feet.
As she began to shiver and asked how she would open this, he tilted his head to the side slightly and took a few steps towards her. Watching her shiver in this cold weather for a few moments "The scriptures promise me glory.. the scriptures promise me access to the portal, through the vessel.. it is not your stupidity that will stop me from inheriting what is rightfully mine.. figure something out" he tilted his head to the other side before he suddenly smacked the back of his left hand against her face rather mercilessly, his expression never changing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few moments after Scythen and Tomoro had appeared through the portal, stepping calmly out of it, Seth lunged out of it quickly head first, rolling over the ground and standing up as he fell with his hands to the ground first. This place.. it was so cold.. yet Seth stood his ground, and despite the sudden change in his heartbeat and own body temperature, appeared to be unscathed by the weather.
As he looked up, he came to find Tomoro and Scythen in the distance, katana at hand. As he watched them carefully, careful not to let them know of his presence here as of yet, he could see Tomoro speak with Scythen after a rock suddenly erupted from the ground then shattered to pieces. Scythen's next move enfuriated Seth.. as Scythen brought down his hand upon Tomoro's face, Seth's eyes widened and he gritted his teeth before running quickly towards them. He didn't care anymore, he wanted Scythen's head, and he wanted it now.
"DIE ALREADY, YOU SONOFABITCH!!!!" he shouted as he continued to dash towards Scythen, his distance from him just a few yards away. Scythen had been unaware of Seth's presence up to this point.. Seth's katana at his side, he suddenly lifted his hand up quickly and set a trail of flames which erupted from the ground straight towards Scythen, the flames engulfing Scythen instantly, and Seth suddenly stopped in his tracks and stared, waiting.
Before Seth could even see Scythen make it out unscathed, he felt an unknown force push his body to the side, and his arm came crashing furiosly against a wall of ice just at their side, before he fell to the ground, just barely conscious, breathing heavily as he closed one eye, the other staring straight at Scythen, who bore a wide grin.

The sting... it hurt so bad, but Tomoro didn't make a sound as the strike was heard, causing her to lose balance for a second. She blinked both eyes, and then coughed, blood spurting from her mouth once again, dribbling down her chin and onto the snow. "For such a vessel... perhaps... you shouldn't treat me like a dog... because if I kill myself right now... there's no way you'll ever... get what you want." She smirked at the man, and it was then when she heard a loud call from the other direction.
Quickly turning, her eyes widened as she saw that same stranger coming toward Scythen, unleashing the flames. Blinking one eye, she merely stepped away, and pointed her finger, motioning the flames to the door. Of course, she didn't control fire whatsoever... in fact, she didn't even know what she just did. However, the ice around the door knob began to melt, and she quickly brought up sand from down below the earth, tossing the material onto the flames, the fiery aura disappearing instantly. Taking a quick glance at Seth, now leaning against the wall like a rag doll, she let out a heavy sigh and grabbed ahold of the knob, pulling it open with all her might. With a final twist of the knob, she fell to the ground as the sanctuary opened just a bit. Of course, the warm heat could be felt coming in through it, so she struggled on her feet and quickly stepped in, leaving both men back out in the cold.
How... big it was. Nothing in particular was too exciting, but the fountain of blood certainly caught her eye. "This... is the place." she said quietly, stepping toward the fountain. Beyond that lay the pedestal, which of course, she figured, she would probably... have to get on sooner or later.

Scythen's grin widened even more as he looked to the ice door that was once there, and watched as the flames began to melt the ice around the doorknob, and watched the door as it came to open. Looking to Seth one last time, his grin slowly disappeared as he pulled his gaze away from Seth and entered the ice sanctuary, his eyes falling upon the fountain of blood first and foremost. Ah yes, the blood still poured to this day. His eyes simply watched Tomoro as he stood before the fountain silently, awaiting for her to get onto the pedestal and summon the portal.. his eyes almost greedy as he never took them off Tomoro.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Seth slowly got himsellf up to one knee, watching Scythen enter the Sanctuary just before Tomoro as he placed his elbow over his knee, coughing blood onto the white, icy ground before slowly picking himself up, grabbing his katana with his good arm as he let his arm which crashed against the ice hang limply.
His arm still shot a sharp pain through his body, it was probably broken.. yet he couldn't give up, not now.. almost dragging himself to the door, the tip of his blade drawing a line from the path that he walked as it dragged along the ground, he leaned himself against a wall just at the entry, and his heavy breathing suddenly came to a stop as his eyes fell upon the fountain of blood.. it was here.. it was now.. this was reality.
His eyes went to Tomoro as she took a few steps towards the fountain. "Tomo.... don't..." he forced with a raspy voice before bending over slightly and coughing blood out once more, the blood falling to the ground and lieing over the side of his lip down to his chin as he picked himself up, breathing heavily as his eyes continue to lay upon Tomoro.
"Enough of you, fool!!" Scythen said with a rather calm voice before stretching his hand out towards Seth, a dark energy in the form of four circular rings flew quickly towards Seth and attached themselves to his ankles and wrists, pinning him to the wall just behind him, a loud yell of pain escaping Seth's lip as one of the rings forced his injured arm to stretch out to the side and then pinned it against the wall, a sharp and unbearable pain surging from his arm throughout his entire body at that moment.
His head hanging low, blood over his lips, his hair covering most of his face, Seth remained silent... at that moment, he realized.. he could do nothing to stop this.

The man's attempt at trying to save her... was he trying to save her? Tomoro didn't know anything about him anymore, only that he knew her name... and apparently cared about her in some way, shape, or form. Turning around and watching Scythen deal with the man made her furrow her eyebrows... such violence wasn't needed at all. Raising her hand up as if to make him stop, and then lowering it, she realized that there wasn't anything to do about it... it obviously ran deeper than just a simple hate. Perhaps they were related...
Was she related to anyone...? Tomoro shook her head as she took a hesitant step toward the pedestal, almost able to hear a chorus in the background. Yes... she would probably die here... what a life it was, not even to remember anything.Slipping off her shoes as she saw a picture inscribed on the wall to do so, she took two or three steps upward on the stairs, sitting herself against the back of the wall, hands and feet hanging loosely at her side. She gave a look of malice toward Scythen, and then at Seth at the back of the wall... hanging so limply... she couldn't even tell if he were alive or not anymore.
Shaking her head, she crossed her legs and put a finger to her lip, almost in boredom, waiting for anything to happen. Of course, she'd probably have to be restrained and such from not running away, but it didn't matter. As long as Scythen had that box's power... she couldn't deny anything he asked."Master... let's get this over with. Let me die quickly."

Scythen simply looked away as Tomoro ordered that this violence cease. Though he was her master and he was not to fear any harm might be done to him from her own hands, it was best to be sure.. the scriptures have been wrong before.
As she ask that he end this, he nodded towards her and walked around the fountain, standing a few yards away from where she stood from the portal, reaching into his coat and pulling out the same dagger he had shoved into her gut to transform her into this being..
Looking to the cieling, a wide grin came over his face before he looked to Tomoro "Open the portal which shall crown me King" with these words, he threw the dagger towards Tomoro, the blade puncturing straight through her chest and into her heart. His eyes watched on, widened..

Tomoro let out a soft moan as the blood flowed down her chest, dripping onto the floor as it did so many years ago. If anything... this wasn't... a quick death... because Scythen hadn't stabbed her heart directly, only the side of it. Slumping over, she somehow managed to kick Scythen's hand away from the blade, grabbing it with both hands and pulling it out of herself. Spitting up the blood, careful not to get it near him, she looked up at him with dead eyes.
"Do you think... that only STABBING me... will kill me off...? Read... the print.. you dumbass." she said, her voice garbled with blood as it spurt out from her mouth. As if it had magically appeared, but was already there, a very small note could be seen to the left of the pedestal, describing the ritual one had to take. First stabbing the feet, then the hands, then taking blood from the fountain without actually touching it and dripping it onto the sacrifice's head... all with caution, as it may have backfired at any time. If that was the case, then the holder of the box would recieve power, and fall under rule instead by accident. "You've got a regular prophet at your feet..." she said smugly, wiping the blood from her mouth, smearing it around, as it had begun to stop immediately near her chest. Being... an experiment... her blood cells multiplied twice the normal speed of the averate human, thanks to all that poison, and the need to clense her body to become the ultimate tool.
She guessed her father wasn't as stupid as he seemed.
Forcing herself up, she stood up and grimaced at Scythen, holding her stomach tightly. It was then that she reached the fountain she dropped the dagger, smirking at Scythen all the while. Dragging her torn body over to Seth this time, she moved her hand to the left, the binds holding Seth up instantly fizzing apart, causing the damaged man to fall to the ground. What he did next was his own problem... but she wasn't going to be a part of it.
Her eyes cold and uncaring, she turned to look at Scythen once more before stopping near the fountain and looking at herself, then sitting down directly beneath it.

Slightly irritated at the fact that this would not get over with already, Scythen's eyes then turned to the small note that appeared to the left of the pedestal, and he read the ancient writings carefully. Through the corner of his eyes, he could see Tomoro unchain Seth, and let his body fall to the ground.. could it be she had some sort of relationship with Seth before..? No matter.. she'd be dead soon anyways.
Grabbing the dagger firmly in his hand, he fiercly pierced one of Tomoro's hands as he held her arm, switching hands with the blade and grabbing her other arm, he pierced that hand as well. Kneeling down, he brought his dagger to her feet and pierced each of her feet, before lifting himself up and finaly, lunging the dagger into her heart once again, a wide, almost sadistic grin over his face.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seth fell helplessly to the ground as Tomoro freed him, coughing weakly before he lifted his head up slowly, only to find Tomoro was about to sacrifice herself.. watching silently, his head shaking slightly as he clenched his teeth, his eyes beginning to water up as Scythen began to make his way towards her, the dagger at his hand.
Slowly lifting himself up to his knees, forcing himself to get up, he watched him pierce her hands, her feet.. "Tomoro.." he said in a weak whisper, holding his arm as he picked himself up, his eyes widening as Scythen shoved the dagger into her heart. He simply stood there.. almost in disbelief.. as a tear slowly streamed down his face.

It was then that when Scythen grabbed Tomoro and began stabbing her she let out a small gasp, her body falling limp unto whatever he did. Her once dull eyes fell even deeper back in her head, and she closed them quickly, taking the pain as it came, trying to imagine it as the needles her father once put in her... it wasn't that bad... more of a stinging pain for a minute, then the feeling of the warm liquid running over her, like a shower... just of blood.
Her head hanging low, she fell from Scythen's grasp into a bloody heap, and managed to look up once at Seth, a tear falling from her eye, trying to mouth something... but she stopped mid sentence, and instead crashed backwards against the fountain, her head hitting the rim of it, her body slouching forward, leg twisted in an awkward position. Besides the gashes on her arms, ankles, and chest, she also was smudged with dirt and just blood in general, and bits of it were beginning to crust. It still dribbled from her mouth, and she had a rather large gash on her left cheek, not to mention an unsightly bruise on the back of her head and neck, not noticable by the silver hair on her head.
Meanwhile, something in the back of the room had begun to stir, and the whole building began to quake, one of the pillars near the back of the sanctuary instantly crumbling to bits while Tomoro lay down still on the floor. A small light seemed to emerge from the pillar at the front, then streaking upward and hitting through the ceiling with a large crack, leaving snow to continue flowing through the hole.
It was then that the light pulsed once, turning a deep black, almost seeming to extend outward. Before long, it took up the entire pillar, and then widened, forming a sort of dome at the very front of the room. A bit of fog emerged from it, but it looked like nothing but a black hole against the wall... from there the portal would take whoever stepped into it somewhere.. undescribable... and they would recieve ultimate power. However, the entire building was beginning to tremble, and pieces of marble from the ceiling were beginning to crash down onto the floor, shattering with loud earsplitting cracks.
At this point, there wasn't really anything to do with the "vessel;" the person, if lucky enough to live, though the chance was extremely unlikely, would probably forget everything that had happened... and yet, they would still have the box within them, although the power would disappear from it. It mostly served as a reminder that they had failed, in a sense, giving up part of themselves to the evil, and that enough had the power to haunt them. Just a bit of the power from the black box would be kept in reservation, which wasn't as bad as it seemed; it would aid the person if they fell under extreme pressure, but would only take action a week after the sacrifice took place. Of course... if they died, that wouldn't be necessary.

Seth's eyes fixed on Tomoro's lips as she began to mouth something, a tear falling slowly from her eye. Watching in depair as Tomoro fell to the ground, Seth slowly leaned his back against the wall behind him, falling to the ground and sitting with his back to the wall as he sat there limply, his eyes staring at Tomoro's apparently dead body on the ground, in complete desbelief..
It was over.. and he could do nothing to save her. She was gone now.. as the entire sactuary began to crumble, parts of the marble cieling crashing upon the floor around them, Seth's eyes never left Tomoro, and he ceased to move.. he didn't deserve to live.. and even if he had earned himself that right.. he had nothing to live for.. not anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scythen's eyes widened in greed as he took a few steps forwards, as one of the pillars began to form a sort of portal. "Yes!! YES!!" he said loudly, a wide yet eery smile spread over his lips. It was now that he would finaly claim his rightful throne.. he would be crowned King.. unaware of how long this transformation would take, he could not care.. he was convinced this was his destiny.
Looking back to Seth as he let the world crumble around him, his eyes fixed on Tomoro, Scythen's grin widened even more so, a sick pleasure twisting inside him at the sight of the suffering of his brother. Looking back to the portal, he calmly made his way into it, disappearing into this black hole.
