Promt: Has your BJD drawn attention in unusual places or whays? Have you made it past security or been mistaken for a guest because of your dollfie? Have magical beings begun talking to you and you alone because they mistook your doll collection to be the idols of the gods of the people of this planet? Share kickass cool and slightly weird BJD reports here...

No, but I do think people think that I'm mentally retarded for carrying a rather large doll around.

Uh . . . does the fact that it got the guy with the green hair and all the neat facial piercings to talk to me (and say hi on a regular basis O_o; ) who I was considering talking to before xd

(I'm convinced he liked Yukio because they have similar facial piercings xp )

On a weird note, I went for a meeting thing with one of the advisors for the honors program (they wanetd to make sure we knew graduation requirements rolleyes ). Anyway, he actually knew what a BJD was . . . or at least something similar . . . . I'm voting something similar since he asked if it was "one of the ones you can take the eyes out of" xd

I took my dolls to a con...and they got WAY more attention than I did when I was in costume on the day I carried them around. I also got let into the dealer's area before opening time at one point, because one of the dealers wanted to see my dolls. And I got a discount, too, from a dealer who wanted to know all about them!

I took Raziel into a mini-golf course onces to take pictures, since it was all pirate themed. I was with another doll owner at the time, and we got some funny looks. One guy asked if we were doing a project for photography class or something. XD Was kinda funny.

I don't take my boy out very much, though... I'm always afraid that I'll drop him or something. @_@. (Which, granted, is a pretty stupid reason to not bring him out, since dropping him at home would do just as much, if not more damage, since we have hardwood floor...)

Ruby had the entire staff at my high school drooling over her. I made sure to keep her away from most of the kids, especially freshman. *hisses* There are unfiiiiiiit. mad

when I went to anime expo when I had either Adriyn or Lena with me I had people constantly around me compared to if I was simply wearing a costume... (lots of doll people were there with or out their dolls, or didn't want to bring them out of their rooms, or were saving up for one!)

also at the harry potter party at borders I found 3 or 4 people that were friends of classmates and knew about them! it was really cool! ^_^

also when I bring them downtown with me I actually don't get many stares! (but then again I don't get many stares when I wear extra ears either...)

My Dolls get alot of attention at cons in general, caus there are alot of people there that have heard of them and waht to see the dolls in real life. Though I remember one occassion that was kinda cool. We flew to ohayocon this past year and I had to take her as a carry on (wouldn't trust her going any other way!) My boyfriend and I got "randomly selected" to be checked more throughly.. I really don't think those are random.. Anyway they opened up Aika's box and the lady loved her. She also asked me if it was one of those dolls that you could have made to look like you. I told you could make them look similar. She called over one of the other guys working there too to look at her XD

so that was pretty cool.

LOL I get s**t all the time - I will take mine shopping or out to dinner with friends and people stare and stare - we are sometimes victum to Doll Prejudoce!!! Its sad - people will actually be mean to us or make fun of us. Haha I took one to the State Fair once and the cop watching the door was harassing me and made me show her what was in his bag and open up everything....... But its totally worth it - they are fun and its good to be different biggrin biggrin

A friend of mine had a door held open for her and when she walked up the person said, "Hey, that's not a baby!"

We BJD owners can be quite the masters of deception. >;B

Well, I have yet to take Nagisa out with me just whenever.
I'd be too embarassed to carry him around in public on my lonesome anyhow.

I really don't care when I'm with a group of BJD owners who also have their's.
It seems less strange when it's more than one person.

Safety in numbers? xp

I haven't taken Lachesis out for more than to check the sizes of accessories before I buy them, people normally don't see her then becouse she is sitting in my purse to keep her safe.
