from the beginning of the game you can notice a white materia on Aerith's hair bow I guess it was some strong materia(she said it was useless)
What do you think it did?
I mean I know its holy at the end of the game but can you use it like a normal materia?

I have to ask, have you beaten the game? Or have you gotten far enough to see the Sister Ray kill Diamond Weapon?
The White Materia that does "nothing", is the same materia that falls from Aeris's hair when she dies, and is the same Holy that is released at the end of the game.

It's holy duh, that's why she says it doesn't do anything, because it can only save the planet.

I was wondering if their was a secret to unlock though I didn't know it powered the cannon like he said

No, theres nothing possible to unlock the White Materia. And where did he say that it powered the Sister Ray? Looked like he was just asking if thats as far as you got in the game. But the Mako Reactors are powering the Sister Ray. All 8 of them, working at full capacity.

I didn't say anything about Holy working the Sister Ray, I asked if you've gotten that far cause the question was about holy, and before the sister ray fires you learn that the materia was HOLY....There aren't a whole lot of secrets to unlock in this game, chances are you already found them all.

ohh sorry I misunderstood but believe me I've finished the game plenty of time its just that it was years ago I've pretty muched forgot a lot of it even though I completed it at least 7 times when it comes to unlocking ultimate materia and weapons I'm your man for the story I'm suffering amnesia

So where is the best place to level up and level Materia in the game?

There are several good places, one for instance is the Marsh area in Northern Crater, fight the Movers, three little red orbs, gives tons of ap and gil, no exp if remember correctly.

No. Im a non-self proclaimed genius of FFVII, and this was only on Gaia. In my town, Im the resident FFVII Guru. I know more than anyone around me physically about the game. So I already know where its great to level up, but if he claims hes a master of levelling materia and using Ultimate Weapons or finding them or whatever, I want to test him on it.
