~Ameyra~Thse~ Reminds you of whom, Sméagol or Gollum? Well, both really. Technically they're the same person. ... He's just a crazy schizophrenic. (I may have spelled, phrenic wrong, but I know the schizo half is at least right. >_> And I'm going to go get those xenoborg screenshots today.)

Schizofrenia has nothing to do with either Dissociative Identity Disorder or Multiple Personality Disorder, it is a totally unrelated mental illness. The idea that schizo means split personalities comes from a movie named Me, Myself and Irene, with Jim Carry. I would have expected that you would not be the kind of person to get your facts from imaginairy sources, and it's getting really anoying to explain to people what the difference is. Not all people with multiple personalities are crazy, I for example have been diagnosed as sane and capable to function in society even though I have 6 alternate identities. Technically, they are the same person, but they are two different identities.

I'd keep thinking of Bob the Builder. xp ~Leila~Ignis~ Ow he's cute. About a name, I dunno, what are you looking for? Something of a serious yautja name of as the guy above me said? I'm not really sure what kind of name exactly I want for him yet so you needn't worry about embarrassing yourself with your suggestions.

Technically, they are the same person, but they are two different identities. I see Gollum as a new person born from the hate and love of the ring, and Smeagol as the twisted remains of what this hobbit used to be. Does anyone here watch the Jackie Chan Television series? Theres these things called the Talismans, rocks which contain special abilities, like super speed. Anyway one of them (the tiger talisman) splits it's user into their ying and yang, light and dark. Now if Smeagol/Gollum used it, his two personalities would seperate and each take their own form. At least that's what I think.

Um, sorry I didn't mean to be offensive. o_O And actually I didn't get that from that movie, it's just what I've always been reading. (Even in my health class's book from high school. >_O) And I realise that he wasn't like who you'll find in the real world it was just the first way that popped into my mind about how to describe him.

Books aren't alway's right, is my experience, especially if they're school books.
That's pretty much what Gollum is. Though it is logical to asume he already had somewhat of a split personality, considering the speed with which the Ring took him if compared to Frodo.
