((As we discussed....^^ 25% unless someone wants to be higher/lower for a particular reason.))
Aislinn put the finishing touches on her makeup, posing out of pure amusement in front of the mirror. She was in an incredibly good mood. Her first changes had taken place about two weeks ago, and nothing could have made her happier at this point. While she'd been sulking about the situation a bit originally since they hadn't done the surgery to fix her pelvic bone..well, that wasn't a concern now.
The changes had knit it back together nicely, though she was now stuck with permanently hairy legs, some funky looking feet, and a few gray hairs as well as some rather long ears. That was okay, though. She could deal with the rest now that she could move about without the damn cane that seemed to haunt the past few years of her life before now-- it just meant a lot of wearing long pants to cover up the hairy leg syndrome. She'd already tried shaving it off, but fat lot of good that did-- it had just grown back right before her eyes.
Ah well. At least she wasn't as furry as Oz.

The realisation of his fate upon noticing his first changes were all too much for Oz. Whilst his resolve to quit the alcohol had stayed, amazingly, true, he had broke away from his detox for a few days and binged on everything that was bad for him. Sure, the extra musculature on his arms and lower back were a great sign of his growing fitness...until he released they must have been part of his damn transformation. The extra dark hair that had started to line his arms and hands and jawline were getting annoying as well.
Five minutes before this 'double date' (really, just an excuse for Oz and Ais to tease the crap out of Gaius) and Oz still wasn't ready. He sat slumped on his bed, staring morosely at the wall. He could hear Aislinn getting ready next door. He rolled his eyes. The ritual of a woman getting ready was always confusing for Oz.
With a grunt, the now bulkier man, who had grown a little taller with his transformation too, pushed himself up from the bed. Having finally found his only long-sleeved shirt, he tugged it on, finding it to be particularly snug about his arms and chest. He was just thankful that it would cover most of his tell-tale signs. The other give-away, the facial hair, had been shaved for the time being, but by the end of the evening, it would have grown back again. At least he looked semi-normal...
Finding his duplex to be excrutiatingly stuffy, he locked his door and sat on the step outside his duplex until Aislinn and the others weould be ready.

((I feel safe replying. ^^ When Gaius and Sophie get on, we can worry about getting everyone together. <3))
Aislinn heard her wonderful next-door neighbor's door open, and decided he was probably right about making their way towards the courtyard, where they were all supposed to meet up before heading wherever they were going-- they hadn't really made specific plans as to what the 'double date' would consist of just yet, as Ais just wanted a chance to tease the other two mercilessly about their newfound relationship since watching them blush was more than a little entertaining.
She paused, making sure everything was in its place. She'd forgone the pigtails for once and had her hair up with chopsticks in a very Asian-looking style, though it fell just enough over her ears to cover them a little bit. The feathers dangling from her lower holes would hopefully also detract attention from them, though she wasn't sure why she was feeling so self-conscious about it. Afterall, many others looked a lot stranger than she did even after only their first transformation. To complement the look, of course, she had a nicely ironed Chinese blouse in a dark shade of blue and of course a pair of long black yoga pants.
She cracked the door open, looking for her friend, and found that he was sitting just a bit away. Quietly, she opened it the rest of the way and then plopped down next to him, "How're you doing, big guy?" she asked quietly. She hadn't really seen him much since their transformations, except when she was lazing about the beach while he was doing his jog early in the morning.

Oz tugged idly at the arms of his shirt, inclining his head over to Aislinn as she left her duplex. He might not be much of a talker today, but he was going to be polite and at least acknowledge her.
"Hey Aislinn," he tried to smile, but he still looked tired and restless. He hadn't slept all that well since transforming. He couldn't really summon an answer to her question, unure of just how he felt.
His trainers, the comfiest ones he owned, were beginning to feel tight on his toes. He dreaded to think why. He still had no clue what he was turning into.

The woman sighed. Something was getting him down, and she wasn't sure how to get it out of him. Well, he'd talk in time. No use in pressuring him. "Any ideas as to what we ought to do? Other than teasing Gaius and Sophie, of course. We should have some sort of actual directive, I guess."
She wasn't very good at planning stuff out. She usually did things on the spur of the moment...but most of the things she'd do weren't here. There wasn't a karaoke bar, or a movie theatre. Perhaps just some time on the beach?

Oz sighed-chuckled.
"Wait a mintue - you organise a 'double date' but you have no idea what to do?" he looked at her, incredulous. Her spontaneity would never cease to amaze the ever-expanding bulky man.
"Well," he said, reaching a more forceful looking hand to scratch the extra fluff of his hair and neck, "there's no cinema here, but if the entertainment room is empty, that'd be a good place to start. Or the beach..."
His eyes then wandered down to Aislinn's odd-looking feet. She had certainly altered a lot for her first transformation, certainly more than Oz himself. Was she turning into something more complex? But she looked incredibly happy, and he couldn't blame her. Despite turning into something else, she'd lost a major part of her pain and misery.

Meanwhile, Gaius paced back and forth outside Sophie's duplex. The others were waiting for him, he knew it. Aislinn had asked him a couple days ago - well, more like convinced him - to join in on their 'double date' idea. Everything was fine and good... except he had yet to ask Sophie out!
Now, he was dressed in nice clean jeans tailored to accomodate his new 'tail' on the backside, and a collared white short-sleeve shirt covered his upper half. He scratched at the sleeves where the hair on his shoulders prickled under the material. "Just gotta do this, Gaius... Just go up to the door, knock, and say 'Do you want to go out?' ...augh! She'll think I'm an idiot! Why didn't I ask her earlier?"
He sighed and ran a hand back through his ever messy hair. There was nothing for it but to try. Oz, Marshall, Aislinn... none of them would let him get away until he did!
Walking up to Sophie's door, he knocked lightly with his knuckles and held his breath as he waited. Would she be home? Maybe she was out? What if she was too busy?

As for what Sophie was doing? At the moment, she'd still been hemming her clothes to fit her new tailed lifestyle, her iPod in it's docking base and the volume up as loud as it would go. There was certainly nothing better than to sew while listening to showtunes, but her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.
Standing, it took her a moment to get to the door, as she had to turn down her showtunes first. Sophie certainly wasn't ready for a date of any kind: she was merely wearing a loose tropical shirt and khaki shorts that barely showed from under the shirt hem, a result of her current request for more Island-like clothes. A straw hat covered her ears, proving she still wasn't comfortable with the change, even in the security of her duplex. Opening the door, she blinked for a moment, confused why Gaius would be wearing such nice clothing.
"Uhm, hey Gaius...what's up?"

"Er, uh, hi Sophie!" Gaius smiled sheepishly and waved a hand. "Er... I was just stopping by to see how you're doing..." He kicked himself mentally. Of course Sophie would be busy, he hadn't given her any reason not to be! Outwardly he winced, looking immensely nervous. His tail lashed back and forth behind him. "Uh, I was wondering... er, if it wouldn't bother you... er... would you... uh, like to hang out this evening? With Oz and Aislinn and stuff?"

"I'm not really doing anything..." Sophie replied, looking back to her duplex. True, a night out on the town, erm, Village, would probably do well to ease her mind. Still, something nagged her, and it wasn't until the idea of nice clothes plus evening added together that she blushed.
"You mean like a...date, or something?"

Gaius flushed bright pink and he looked down at his feet. "Er! Uh, kinda? I mean, if you'd like to... I mean, if you don't want to, I understand..." He spoke in a rush, looking up hopefully after he finished. "W-Would you like to... go out... with me?"

Sophie froze, the slight sway in her tail stopping dead. Gaius, asking her out? NOW??? A million reasons why not to flooded her head, desperately prodding her to choose one. Gaius, I'm not ready...We've only just met...I'm not really dating right now... Though, for as many excuses as she could think of, there were as many to say yes, and those excuses were all much more whole-hearted.
She sighed, looking down and away from him as her eyes met the floor. "Gaius...you have to know that part of the reason I came here was to escape a lifestlye around guys, to not have to worry about trying to impress members of the opposite gender. There's so much you don't know about me, and things I don't know about you, and I honestly think you don't know what you'd be getting into..." She paused, looking at his hand as she clasped it gently with her own. Her eyes then raised to meet his, and she smiled, even though she was blushing just as much as he.
"...but I trust you, more than anyone else here, and I suppose it would be unfair for both of us to say no." She placed her other hand on his changed fingertips, playing with their texture as usual.
"So...where to?"

Gaius's face dropped as Sophie sighed and spoke about her experience with guys in her previous life. It looked like all his worries were going to prove true and she'd say 'No.' His hopeful look faded and he looked down, knowing that what she said about how little they knew each other was true. He was surprised when she caught his hand and looked back up at her, perplexed by the smile he hadn't expected to be there.
"Y-you do?" he asked breathlessly, a sudden rush of relief and joy washing over him. He broke into a bright grin and clasped his other hand over the one playing with his fingers - it was a comfortingly familiar feeling for him now. "Sophie... I... I'm so glad. I want to get to know you better, and I promise I won't break your trust."
Her next question threw a wrench into his happy proclomations. Gaius faultered, scratching the back of his head with his free hand. "Er... Not really sure. I think Aislinn said to meet them in the courtyard area..."

"Well, we wouldn't want to be late, then, would we?" She asked, a sudden elation from the sound of Gaius's enthused voice. It was strange, but wonderful, already referring to them as a couple. She then looked down at her clothing, her cloud nine crashing down with the realization that she wasn't even in matching clothes.
"Should I, um, go change or something? This is a little unexpected...I mean, it's not every day someone comes to speak with me in nice clothes. The last time that happened, I ended up here."

Gaius winced, realizing yet another thing he hadn't taken into account. Even so, he smiled and patted the hat on her head. "Well, I like you the way you are! But if you want to change, I can wait out here, or else go find the others and you can meet us near the town center...?"
