Ok, I'll go first. Here is a character from one of my stories.

Character Profile

Name: Kayle, Elric Erwin Renae, or The Green Dragon. Elric, meaning elven/noble ruler (english); Erwin, meaning (eber "wild boar" and win "friend")(german); and Renae, (their last name) that comes from RENATUS, meaning "born again" (latin). Kayle is also the name Cedric had as a slave.
Species: Royal of Kay Tower
Personality Type:
Age: he's born when Cedric is 20
Height:
Hair: blonde
Eye: blue
General Appearance: As a dragon, Elric has a general green overtone over his entire body, but his eyes are still blue. Lithe and quick, he's still a young dragon. As a human, Kayle looks only a little like his dad. His blonde hair, blue eyes, and moderately fair skin mark him of foreign blood and raise his price in the salve market. He has been trained as a guard, so he is fairly muscular but a bit on the thin side.
Personality: Because he has become his dragon self at an early age (and turned back. If you want details on this breed of dragon, I'll gladly oblidged) he's more than just a bit wild. The more he uses his magic the more wild he will become until his dragon self is old enough and less wild. If he changed too much, he could become permanently deranged, but this would not necessarily render him ineffective as a leader or anything else. It would just throw an occasional wrench in the system when he gets into a mood. Even without these wild tendancies, Kayle is bold and forthright. He doesn't accept the system he's in nearly as much as the men around him, yet at the same time he would be in for a shock if he learned just how much of it he does accept. After all, he has grown up in the system and training can run very deep. He's ambitious and intelligent enough to make plans work, but at the same time he'd rather express his anger and frustration in one quick and deadly stroke.
History: Kayle, unlike his escaped father, was born into slavery in Feretris (his father named him Elric, his mother named him Kayle). All men are slaves there in some fashion, and he is no exception. The woman have certain powers, and until now, the men did not, and so the slavery system is currently fairly intact. However, Kayle has seen his father once in the dragon world and knows of his own powers, so he has been fairly disobedient as a slave-- just not enough to be killed or disguarded. Kayle is pretty much the only hope for overturning slavery where he lives, and in the story Im writing him into, he starts a revolution/rebellion, but I adapt the story line drastically to put him in RPs.

A Character from a story I'm working on. With all the research on Japan's history its gonna take a while to finish.

Name: Kamaki
Age: 22
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 115
Race: human, of course
Apperance: Well tone slender woman, pale as the white snow with lips softly pink like the cherry bloosm, dark raven hair that is as long as to the mid of her back that is sometimes worn in three different styles, braided, knotted, or a high ponytail, most of the time it is knotted. Friendly eyes that are sharp as well as intelligent looking, charming features, the typical asian beauty. When in training or on a mission she wears the typical clothing of a samurai. During formal occasions and friendly visits to others' homes she wears the clothing suited for the women of her land.

Personality: Although she is only 5'5" her spirit is stronge and loyalty great. She is not so quick temper but rather a calm even tempered woman. She has a warrior spirit and will not give up on anyone even if it is her dying breath. She is kind-hearted but also has a sternness about her. She will not dally and will be there at appointed times, when possible. She is able to be both a leader and a follower, depending on the circumstances. She is straight forward and will be blunt when it calls for it. There is a sense of humor to her but is serious when it is time to be. There are five codes she up holds and keeps to her self-being and those are: Friendship, Loyalty, Honor, Justice, Courage.

Background: Kamaki is the great descendant of the woman warrior known as Tomeo Gozen. Like her ancestor Kamaki too has skills of a remarkablely strong archer and sword skills worth of a thousand, anyone who has known about Tomeo Gozen would say Kamaki is her reborn, this also gave her premission to learn the ways of the samurai. Kamaki comes from a family born of the sengoku jidai or "the warring state era", and now a shogunate family that is in allies with the Tokugawa family. She is the only daughter out of four children, against her father's will she refused the marriage of a high lord, at that time she was only 13, because of a strong sense of justice. The stories she heard of her ancestor Tomeo inspired her and when she had found out of the lord's evil ways, learning of his plans to over throw the Tofugawa family and replace the ruler, she told the advisor of the Tokugawa family which inturn stopped the assassination of the Lord Tokugawa. She was granted a wish for her loyalty and thus through the wish she became one of the very few woman samurais of that time, why would a shogunate's daughter want to be something as low ranked as a samurai?? simple, to up holding all that she believe and protecting those that she serve and love, this is her passion, The blood of a Samurai.

A character/story based on ancient Japan is certainly a challenge! Your character has developed nicely so far. 3nodding

(( It's late, I'm bored, I feel the need to post something before bed... *Digs out one of his character profiles.*

Okay, this one would be from what I HAD as the story for the webcomic I got all of 12 strips into then abandoned... I should restart it with some sort of plot and/or artistic ability. xd ))

Ze Thing!
Name: Aaron

Race: Minor Deity

A celestial being, currently in the service of the god Falis, Aaron has powers nearly equal to those of a god himself, though these are limited to the spiritual plane of existence. To perform his duties to Falis, he becomes human when he descends into the mortal realms, taking the guise of a Paladin of Falis, and sealing away his divine powers, for they have no place within the mortal world.

Though he does have the power to manifest himself nearly to full proportions while 'alive', there has never been a case when such was needed, even to save his own life he would not do such a thing.
[ Basically, this limits the use of any 'special' abilities to use in story-form... ]

His mortal body is merely a shell, a vessel for which the spirit resides... if it were to die another would be created to take it's place, though only within a place where there is sufficient divine focus, such as a temple, or with the aid of several priests.

As a paladin of Falis, his mortal form has all of the powers entailed with that, such as a slight resistance to magical abilities due to Falis' aura of protection about him, and the ability to heal light wounds and relieve fatigue with the touch of his hands.

Age: Eternal

Height: 6'0"

Weight: 215 lbs.

Appearance: Tall and thick, he is not quite muscular, though strong simply because of his size. His skin is pale, almost seeming to glow with an inner light, visible even in complete darkness, though his eyes carry a sheen of platinum themselves rather than color.

He is almost constantly dressed in a half suit of plate mail, bearing no crests or markings, however, simply polished steel to protect his fragile human frame from damage. Underneath this is a fitted suit of chain mail, a fine, yet durable mesh that is worn over a basic set of black clothing.

His hands are covered, not by gauntlets, but by thick leather gloves that run up halfway to his elbows. Underneath these the chain mail continues until the wrists, though the hands are bare beneath the gloves. Also, he wears no helmet atop his armor.

Beneath the armor, around his neck, Aaron wears a platinum pendant, in the shape of a dragon's claw. It barely ever comes into view, and never comes off of his form... it marks him as the incarnation of Falis' will, the one who performs the duties which he would not assign to a mortal servant.

Equipment: Aside from his armor and his the pendant of Falis that he wears about his neck, Aaron carries nothing other than his weapons a halberd of standard proportions, six feet in length from butt to tip on the shaft, the edge of the blade curving upwards beyond for another five inches.

Personality: Aaron was not one to speak much; he was always quiet and agreeable, though knowing full well to himself the things which were important to keep near. He often forgoes the accepted methods for dealing with a problem in favor of those that he thinks will work better, and despite being a loyal follower of Falis, he often disobeys the rules that are set down for conduct. It is a code to be followed, but there are times when it must be broken for the greater good.

History: 34 years ago, in a world of darkness, one of the infernal realms that are separated from the mortal realm, there was a great evil that came forth. This evil did was not ancient, nor was it powerful, it was the power of greed and lust that consumed those around it. The first victim to fall to it's power was weak, unable to abuse it to it's full potential, though it soon found a stronger user...

Despite the pretenses, there are those among the world of demons that obey rules, laws, and order. Those that have a sense of justice, and that of a conscience...

These are those that went to combat the first wielder of this power, a weak sorcerer, only able to taste the magic itself, though not make use of it. The Order of Kar'Tuh, a band of 13 knights from the kingdom of Kar'Tuh invaded his lair and slew the beast for his acts of cruelty to their kind. The owner died, and the lair was pillaged. The power had found a new owner.

A young knight by the name of Razliek Kar, fourth son of the current king, had acquired from the beast's corpse a small pendant, from within it's depths an eerie white light gleamed, though it gave none but this to hint at it's powers.

The knights returned to the castle, they celebrated, and they drank, as all celebrations go... though the young Razliek Kar retired early from the festivities... a feeling of nausea come over him, followed by disorientation, and whispers in the night.

For three days these whispers plagued him, words spoken into his ears, though not from without, but from within... they promised him things, things which would have never come to him otherwise... they promised him power, glory, and the throne itself... the whispers of greed had captured another.

On the fourth morning, the Order of Kar'Tuh was sent out again to calm a rebellion among the more savage demons of the southern mountains. Their unit was surrounded in a pass that evening, and communications with the castle ceased.

A week passed, the search parties had found nothing but corpses in the mountains, 9 knights and 27 of the demons. The remaining three knights were not found until one survivor returned to the castle... Razliek Kar.

His reports spoke of the demons, the ambush, the entrapment, and of the knights' eventual downfall. The one part he left out was the fact that the two knights other than himself had fled the scene, not in fear of the enemy, whom had been slaughtered without casualty... but of Razliek himself, who had turned upon them all, the whispers in his head promising him riches and power if he were to slay them... his hand bringing death to each in turn as the wounded knights could not defend themselves... his power growing with each kill as the unholy bead about his neck consumed the souls of the dead, binding them to his own and feeding upon their very lives...

Of the thirteen knights, one survived... of the thirteen souls, they were now one.

Razliek eventually recovered from his wounds, though his lust for power was not yet sated... the whispers had promised him so much more... they had shown him ways that he could have what he wanted... it just required him to take it from those who would have kept it from him...

The rights of ascension in the kingdom of Kar were not that the firstborn son would rise to power, they were that the strongest of the sons would become the next king... currently it was the second son, Razliek's older brother by 12 years... To take the throne for himself, he would have to best his brother in fair combat... but to keep his brother from taking it himself, Razliek had only to kill him.

On the night of the new moon, when the lights were dim and the castle asleep, Razliek slew the two royal guards outside his brother's quarters, adding their souls to his collection, then crept in quietly, and thrust a dagger into his brother's neck.

His sister-in-law awoke quickly from this, screaming bloody murder, then just screaming blood as the blade quickly severed her own throat. His work was done, but he had been noticed, found out, shamed. There was no way he could have ever achieved the power that he wanted now... not unless he was the last one... not unless they were all dead...

The door opened, the guards rushed in, followed quickly by the king and the firstborn of the royal family, the Captain of the Guard... Razliek took the life of the first man to enter, slamming the dagger into his forehead as he threw the man to the side, drawing the sword from the dead man's sheath as he fell, tackling the king and collapsing into the hall as they fought over the blade in his hands.

His father threw him off, sending him crashing against the wall behind as a flurry of arrows flew from the end of the hall, one burying itself within his shoulder as it struck him, one connecting with the ball of souls around his neck, shattering the shard of evil into a thousand pieces which rained down upon the floor.

The fight had been lost for him; Razliek had nothing left here, no hope of victory, no hope of a future now that he had become a traitor. He fled the castle, fled the country, though there was nowhere that the all seeing eye of their patron deity could not follow... he was forced by the pursuers into another realm, that of mortals... a place where he could hide from the armies of his homeland.

The king, however, took the death of his heir as an insult to both himself and the family, he brandished Razliek as a traitor, disowning him as his son and declaring him an enemy of the nation as a whole. The first born demanded vengeance for his younger brother, and the king granted it.

230 soldiers of Kar'Tuh, led by the firstborn son of the king, future heir to the throne of Kar'Tuh, set out for the realm of mortals. They vowed not to return until Razliek Kar was dead...

They did not return.

In four years time, the three remaining survivors of the army reentered the castle grounds, two grunts, and the Captain himself... carried by the two, as he had had his legs severed at mid-thigh. As they had broken the oath they had made upon departure, and because the king himself could not bear to see his son in such a state of being, all three were executed by beheading.

The king, giving up the cause for lost, cried for his sons through the night... he had lost three, only his third born remained to carry on the family line. He prayed to their god to bring him vengeance, but the prayers went unanswered. The realm of mortals was forbidden territory for a god of demons.

However, hearing the pleas though a messenger from their god, Falis did take action. He dispatched his servant to the mortal realm in order to bring this criminal to justice, and to ensure that no more harm would come to people due to this twisted prince of the damned.

The murder of an individual is one thing, but the destruction of their immortal soul is yet another... at the time of Aaron's departure to Gaia, Razliek was in possession of 17 souls aside from his own.

Twenty years passed, searching the land for traces of this evil, but none were ever found. Aaron never did find the evil Razliek... all he found was a man by the name of Joshua. A man who described himself as an evil person with a past that was best left buried.

The only kind of man who can call himself truly evil and mean every word of it is one who cannot forgive themselves for things that they have done... The weight of those souls pressing down upon his own had crushed it, warped it, turned it into something other than what it had been...

Razliek Kar was truly dead now... all that remained was this man whom he had found... Joshua.

Falis forgave the man for the crimes he had committed, knowing full well that penance is more effective than punishment, and retracted the sentence of death that he had originally ordered for the man. The sentence now was life under vigil... the Avatar of his will left in charge of the man in the guise of a friendly paladin to watch over him... to ensure that he never went back to his old ways...

Aaron has spent the last ten years alongside Josh, and he has come to understand the true nature of this individual... though he may have done monstrous deeds in the past, the man makes up for them in his own ways... not at all heroic, but not a villain by any means... if the time ever came for Falis to command his destruction, Aaron was no longer sure that he could fulfill that duty.

I rather like the idea of a deity named Aaron...
PostPosted: Thu Oct 28, 2004 6:36 am

This is my base profile, which explains who I am and what my basic goals are. This is a flexible profile which can be altered to almost any RP, and it just basically explains what I can do and what I want out of Gaia. I'm not gonna get it all in the limited time I have, so it is for the moment, incomplete.

Name: Terashi Leon Goken
Race: Young Vaelen (31-50 yrs.) [adolescent by human reckoning]
Age: 40 Gender: Male

Appearance: Terashi is a pillar of muscle (6'1", 193 lbs.). He has pointed ears (Vaelen anatomy) and few, but some, scars, the most notable being the one on the back of his right hand, which resembles his family sigil, the symbol of the realmwalker. His hair and outfit resemble my avatar, which will change as time passes for him, eventually into the Mature Vaelen age group.

Personality: Upon originally coming to Gaia, Terashi was a calm, women-worshiping, fun-loving individual, and kind of an airhead, as Vaelen go. The strife and tribulation he's experienced since once made him grow silent. An incident in a hangout spot he once worked at led him to perform a spirit tempering ritual. He's become more matured by this, but he's become a social person in general.

History: Terashi was born into a family of Relamwalkers (Goken Family) early into the reign of Emperor Alexander Dijureikan (0003-DE[Dijureikan Era]). He had an enjoyable childhood, and grew to be a powerful individual, almost equal to that of Emperor Dijureikan. He was even taught Vaelen Holy Magic much younger than most, thanks to his mother, Cyra, High Priestess of Zendai. However, after shortly entering the Young Vaelen age group, Terashi was drafted into the Vaelen Military, and died a few weeks after, during a Saiyan (yes, Saiyan, from DBZ) invasion. Zendai, the chief deity of the Vaelen, shortly ressurected him into a half-life. Noting his power, he 'hired' him as a 'geaster', or adventurer for his cause. His first quest was in an alternate dimension; he was ordered to train under Dijureikan, who had been reincarnated there into James Daktalia Arkon (Arkon Family), another realmwalker. After succesfully serving him for two lifetimes, Arkon trained him in Eight Extremity Fist Style and the Realmwalker Elemental Art of Fire, or 'Flare Art'. His reward for completing the training was Elexorien, Sword of the Almighty, Planet Vaela's major relic. After a period of rest, Zendai sent him to a half-realm, or demi-plane. That place is Gaia, this community.

Current Events: Terashi spent the meat of his time in the Welcome to Gaia/Chatterbox sections. The events there, while immature, gave him an idea of how NOT to act. Eventually he made his way into the Commerce section, where he started plying his mercenary trade. This earned him a bouncer position at a few deceent gatherings. A spite with a co-worker led him to feel disoriented with himself, and he trained for two days. Beforehand, he cast a spell upon his training area, making time there go much faster. Hence, five years passed for him during his two-day training. After a bit of offline time, he was hired as a teacher of the Realmwalker Elemental Art of Fire at Senshiro University. On the side, he created the Flames of Dissonance Tavern/Inn out of the Gambino Mansion debris floating above Barton Town (assuming the debris could have been sent that far due to the explosion). That is now where he spends most of his time. It is also the favored hangout spot of his representative, Cassandra Alexandra

Current Quests: Terashi is currently questing for these two things.
1) Ressurection. Terashi wants to be brought back to a full life, so that he can achieve his Maturation Ritual and hopefully achieve Vaelen Ascension.
2) Meteoflare. This technique is the strongest manuver of the 'Flare Art'. However, the technique was sealed in Arkon's possesion, so it was sealed when Terashi learned it. After achieving at least maturity, he plans on seeking a way to unseal Meteoflare.

Familiar: Before the events leading up to his reincarnation, Dijureikan made an alliance with the dragon nation on a meteor in Vaela's orbit. As part of this treaty, Angel, the princess of this nation, would become this nation's ambassador, constantly travelling with him, even after reincarnation. After surrendering Elexorien to Terashi, Arkon ordered Angel to follow Terashi, at the time (and still) the only surviving Ancient Vaelen, instead. She is now residing with Terashi at Flames of Dissonance Tavern/Inn.

Weapon: Elexorien is a G-class blade (the classes are as follows: d-dagger, s-shortsword, l-longsword, h-hand & a half (or b*****d) sword, g-greatsword, f-fullblade) made of pure gold. The sword has an identity, and even a conscious mind, of its own. Its mission is to serve a Vaelen realmwalker, and it does this by discerning the essence of whom its master has targeted as an enemy. If the indivdual is innocent, Elexorien will glow with a bright light, and will not move within one foot of the target. It's trademark power is the ability absorb the essence of whomever it strikes. The essence may then be absorbed by its master, or be shot out of the sword like a wave of energy. Because of Elexorien's versatility with this power, Terashi rarely uses the blade in Gaia, for fear of being accused of godmoding.

Power: Realmwalker Elemental Art of Fire
Tech One: Flare Grenade
-Terashi makes some distance between him and his opponent. He then gathers a bit of fire energy, which forms into a small sphere. He throws this sphere at the enemy, and it explodes on contact
Tech Two: Flare Funnel
-Terashi makes some distance between him and his opponent. He then gathers some fire energy in his right hand, the arm of which is pointed directly at the enemy. The resulting wave of fire energy is as thick as Terashi's upper arm (which of itself is fairly thick, due to Terashi's impressive muscle mass).
Tech Three: Flare Powerup
-Terashi's distance from the enemy is irrelevant here. Terashi spens a few minutes gathering energy from within himself. He then releases it within himself, causing his body to burst into flame. This flame is not harmful to Terashi, and is required for Terashi to use some of his stronger attacks.
Tech Four: Flare Cannon
-Terashi makes some distance between him and his opponent. He then slams his wrists together and twists them, so that his hands make a vertical line. He then fires this out as a wave of energy as thick as he is tall! eek
Tech Five: Flare Buster
-Terashi makes some distance between him and his opponent, then levitates in the air, with his right arm raised. Fire energy gathers in his right hand until it forms a HUGE sphere as wide as he is tall! eek (Tech Six: Final Flare
-Terashi makes some distance between him and his opponent, then brings his arms back into a perfect arc. Then, he slams them together with such force that they push back. By the time he starts charging energy, his arms make perfect paralell lines outward. This technique is like a lot of smaller waves fired at once, and the effect is devastating.
Tech Seven: Ultimate Final Flare
-This attack is similar to Final Flare, only it takes longer to execute, and the technique is vastly stronger. This is so far, Terashi's strongest available technique.
Tech Eight: Meteoflare
-TBD (To Be Described, I'll do so when I unlock it. No point in describing it ahead of time)

Magic: Vaelen Holy Magic
Spell One-Cyra's Blessing
Spell Two-Cyra's Impatience

Darialan
18
5ft. 8
Human
Average build.
His wepaon is a buster sword. (very large.) He lifts it with his mind and keeps it under control that way. The sword would be too heavy otherwise.
He can also do magic, when the situation calls for it and is able to do it even with his sword in hand. He can also use his telekenesis for other things besides handling his sword.
He's pretty easy going and may even be a bit quiet at times. He likes children and gets along with just about everyone. He'll help just about anyone he see that is in need. This however is his weakness and can get him into trouble.
He wears blue pants, white shirt and a blue open jacket.

Background history: Darialan grew up amongst royalty for most of his life. He was not of royal blood though. You see he was found amongst the rubble that was once the east side of the kingdom of Arcadia. There was a war there and Dar's family died. He never knew his parents as he was very young at the time. Despite that he grew up with a loving family. He even had a childhood friend named Alana. She was an elf. They were very fond of each other and when they were 15, they were a couple. Dar just opened up one day and her response was a sweet kiss on the cheek and a smile. There were no words. Maybe a few giggles.

Things weren't always good however. Despite the fact that his step family was so loving there were times of friction. One day he and his step sister got into and arguement. During the argument, a vase flew across the room and just missed her head. They were both shocked. The towns people found out and were scared of Dar. The king assured the people that Dar wasn't evil despite his unusual power. It is a power that noone else had. He practiced keeping his power under control and it became very useful at times.

This was not the worst incident, however. Dar never cared much for the special royal gatherings and one day he decided to make a short term clone of himself to take his place. He stole or "borrowed," in his words, a spell book from the royal magician. His step sister barged in while he was in the middle of the spell and called for him to hurry up. Dar, who was facing the mirror casting the spell, he swung around while the spell was not finished. A dark image formed in the mirror that looked just like him. It just mped out and them flew through the wall. It ran into the darkness of the woods, outside and was never heard from again. His sister was in shock and didn't talk for everal weeks. Her parents probed her about her silence, but she never told anyone about that day.

At 16, he took up magic, along side Alana. At the same time he worked hard at his swordsmanship. He managed to make time for him and Alana, thtough his hard work in both feilds.

At 18, he and Alana left the kingdom to do some traveling. They were starting a new life and decided to travel from town to town to seek adventure.

Alana
19
6ft 3
Elf
Average build
She carries a wooden staff with a curve at the top and a red jewel within that curve. She excels in magic both offensive and healing.
Her personality is like Dar's, but she isn't quite so quiet. In fact she can be a little hyper at times. She gets really excited, too. She also is very fond of shiny objects. She is kind and caring and is very warm and affectionate.
Her sorceress outfit is all pink. It's a long gown that reaches to her ankles with a cape that is only a little darker then her gown. She was a cone shaped hat, also pink, that is flopped over on one side.

Background History is in my previous character post.

Do you have any other characters? We try to encourage our members to expand their horizons and create new characters, although it's great that this one can be used for so many different types of RPs.
Once I get accepted into CSRPG, I'll post that character here.
b***h didn't know what she wanted, so I stopped reapplying. Forget a second character.

((For the GMing Class))

Name: Sindri Sorrenson

Age: 20, born March 13th 1984

Original Hometown: Random Norwegian village (TM)

Currently Living in: New York City (Manhattan) for the past fifteen years

Eyes/Hair: Dull brown eyes, super-curly sandy blonde hair parted down the middle and semi-afroed

Basic Build/Physique: Tall and lanky, not possessing much by way of muscle. He has poor athletic abilities due to the fact he never exercises, although his hands are sensitive and strong due to his craft. Sindri's face is apricot blotched with freckles, and his face is normally in grim or sneering, meant to repel anyone who wants to approach him. Most commonly he is seen wearing a bland tee-shirt, blue jeans, a long dark blue coat, and tan sandals. He loves scarves and is rarely seen without one.

Skills:
His special yet still mundane skills include being ambidextrous, being able to read and speak in not only his native English but also in his family's Norwegian and Dutch, and being able to make really awesome cheese fries. Sindri is best known for his skills at weaving, knitting, crocheting, and sewing, and is passionate about his craft despite what others think.

On the more supernatural side of things...to steal the term from AU (although this profile is not intended for that RP), he's a passive mage who uses the clothing and other fabric products (carpets, bags, tablecloths, etc) he makes to channel magic. Sindri doesn't know that he is channeling magic, but has an idea that the products he sells aren't completely normal. For that reason, he dubs the clothing 'lucky' and makes his brother jack up the price five dollars. More in 'Powers'.

Personality:
Sindri hates people. That is by far his most striking, obvious personality trait. He despises the company of other people and does the best he can to drive them away, and doesn't trust anyone other than himself. He doesn't even trust his brother as far as he can throw him, and likes the optimistic twit even less. When forced to interact with people, Sindri is nasty and condescending, often underscoring the accomplishments and abilities of others for no better reason than to make himself feel superior and to feed his ego. But for the most part he prefers to operate by himself, working in his rented studio alone and selling his wares to his brother's shop When working alone Sindri still appears to be a cheerless b*****d, but he truly enjoys what he is doing and puts his spirit into making his works as perfect and lovely as possible. It is uncertain whether he prefers women or men in romantic relationships, mostly because Sindri hates both sexes pretty equally. He also doesn't fall into stereotyping because he suspects and hates all people indiscriminately. Sort of like a modern, young Mr. Scrooge. Animals, especially cats and small dogs, hold a special place in his heart (and in his apartment: he has three cats and two dachshunds), and he is also a vegetarian.

Sindri is rather secure about himself, despite the occasional need to insult others to feed his own pride. He would never change his interests to appease other people or even society, and is pretty certain he will never find anyone he would possibly want to 'share' his life with. It's his life, he doesn't need anyone to mess it up for him, thank you very much. He can be resolute and firm when he is certain that his method is the best one available, although he is surprisingly receptive to the suggestions of other people. Of course he will insult the people suggesting good ideas, but if an idea or plan is clearly better than his own, he will accept it and want to see that it is implemented. While he likes having control of his own life, he doesn't want to be responsible for others and has no desire to be anyone's boss. Needing to borrow from or rely on other people drives him crazy, like the fact that he relies on his brother to sell the items he makes. While he doesn't consider himself artistic, Sindri is creative and not afraid to experiment and make items in unique styles and fashions.

History:
Born to a married couple consisting of a Norwegian father and Dutch mother, and four years younger than his brother Larus, Sindri inherited a rather comfortable life. Things got even more comfortable when he was five and his mother landed an awesome marketing job in the US, and the family didn't hesitate to move out there to accommodate for her. His father established a successful small business in Manhattan, which Larus has taken over ever since both of their parents retired and went back to live in Norway.

Little Sindri was a terribly happy and curious child, and completely adored his father. He took up knitting to please his father and hopefully contribute some simple scarves to be sold at the store, but found out soon enough he was happy to be making clothes just for the sake of making them. In his initial school years he suppressed his hobby and faked enthusiasm in sports and bugs so he could mesh with the other boys his age, and he had quite a few friends as well. Life continued like this until he hit puberty, where the mix of hormones in his brain must have put the wild notion in Sindri's head that it is perfectly fine for him to be public about his obsession. At first friends laughed playfully when he would pack knitting needles and yarn in his backpack along with his books, but what they thought was a gag wore on for weeks, then months, and soon enough they started finding other people to hang out with. Instead of pining after his lost friends, Sindri decided that he was better without them anyways. In fact, why did he need friends at all? Or other people altogether, for that matter? Ever since puberty Sindri shuffled through school with no ambition to make friends or to succeed in academics, not as long as he could keep his hobby. This concerned his parents, and he got into endless fights with his brother, but the transformation stuck despite their efforts.

So he is twenty years old right now and living in a studio in New York City, going to community college during the days and working at nights. His brother Larus tells him that the items Sindri has been making have been selling particularly well lately because of rumors that they bring fortune to those who possess them. Sindri himself has been noticing an increase in luck when he is around his own products, but hasn't given much thought to the matter.

Powers:
So, Sindri isn't aware of this at all, but he is actually embedding magic into his products. Trippy, eh? The magic particularly affects luck, although it also has battle-useful properties. When he happily works on a sweater, for example, the person who later buys it will feel slightly euphoric, and any risks that they take are much more likely to succeed. In battle, a character equipping one of his items has a higher chance of landing 'critical hits', or extra-powerful attacks, than normal. Also, if they get hurt or involved in an accident, their odds of surviving and recovering completely from the injury increases substantially. Unfortunately, if he is unhappy or not motivated to work, the items will have the opposite effect and bring misfortune, pain to the wearer, and no chance for critical hits. For now, at least, Sindri is a happy camper, so the other end of the spectrum is not a worry...yet.

Name: Naeralindra ("Era") mal'Rath
Race: Human
Age: 15
Height: about 5'2"
Hair: Long, often worn in a braid that trails down her back. It's mostly auburn in color, but is tinged with a brighter reddish-orange as if with natural highlights
Eye: Greyish-silver

Personality (MB): ISTP
Personality: Showing a calm and cool face to the world, Era is a hard to decipher. She has a strong sense of tradition and propriety embedded in her personality, due to the teachings of her family, even though it's contrary to her very nature. She craves excitement and freedom, often becoming reckless in the pursuit of her next adventure. She's also incredibly stubborn, and refuses to change her mind for anyone or anything--unless she wills it, of course. She also has a need for personal space, and is often unable to understand people, especially highly emotional people. She will literally run away from people if they require a commitment she is not ready to give.

Gifts/Special Abilities: Era is an unawakened Mage, which means she can uncounciously use her power and lash out in extreme emotional or physical duress, but she is also highly suspectible to a trained mage or channeler's manipulation (she is unaware of this danger).

((GIFT HISTORY: Channeling is slightly more common than mage gift, espeically in girls. Mage ability is equally likely to occur in boys or girls, though either is rare.
Channeling and mage abilities are both inborn (except for in rare cases when an unawakened Mage learns to channel...and in this case, the mage ability is significantly weakened or doesn't manifest at all). Channeling is mostly instinctive, but Mage ability MUST be taught, or untrained mages can harm themselves and lose around them by lashing out in cases of extreme emotion. Untrained mages can also be subverted/manipulated by those who are trained, and in rare cases by Channelers specifically taught how to manipulate such gifts.
Channeling is a passive ability, allowing its user to wield massive amounts of power by drawing it through themselves, and storing it in an object/node or sending it on to a mage/focus. Mages can direct the flow of Channelers, and most Channelers working in groups require such direction (except for the Winddancers of Astarte). ))
