This RP is technically unfinished but is considered finished to me due to no response from the other RPer.

Journal Entry #1 New Year
Walking into the house that she had left around a year ago, Chiemi, closed the door. It was a nice and chilly day outside. The sun was shining brightly, however the air was crisp and held the last remaining chills of winter. The New Year had arrived and Chiemi had decided to start this year off well, taking into consideration the two vases that she had left at home for this entire time. Walking up the stairs, Chiemi noticed that everything was as she had left it, not a spot in sight. It was nice how organized it was even after a year. Placing a few bags of fireworks down in her room. She walked through the halls reminiscing of the times that were, before she had to leave. The door to a smaller room seemed to be open. Peeking into the tiny crack that was left for only an eye’s view, Chiemi spotted her first Second, Natsuki munching on a jar of mayonnaise while playing a motor cycle video game.

Chiemi hadn’t realized how long she must’ve been gone until now as she swallowed a lump down her throat, hopefully they’d forgive her for her absence, or better, even remember who she was. Knocking on the door, caused the little one to look up and tilt her head wondering who it could be. Finally gaining the courage to open it fully, Natsuki gasped at the sight of Chiemi actually being home. Pouting a bit, she said to her “Chiemi… you’ve been gone for a whole year, without even dropping in to say ‘hi’ what have you got to say for yourself? I had to deal with Shizuru in there and she’s not exactly easy when she’s trying to glomp you every time and I’m trying to clean!” A crash could be heard from the other room as Shizuru hopped down from a chair and walked over to Natsuki with a small cup-shaped glass shard upon her head. “Ara, ara, Natsuki likes when I hug her, don’t worry Chiemi, I’ve been taking good care of her.” A small outburst was heard from the green eyed Second as she stated clearly “Took care of me!? You just broke one of the glass cups, you did not take care of me, I took care of you~”

Watching in delight, Chiemi chuckled as it seemed that everything was the same as usual with the two, it was good that they were still healthy though, and in good spirits. Smiling, Chiemi interrupted with a cough and said “So, girls, who wants to play fireworks?” The two of their eyes lit up as Natsuki asked “Is there lots of arials and big stuff that go ‘BOOM’?” and Shizuru asked “No… Natsuki, we must have light, elegant things like Sparklers and Morning Glories.” As the two got into another sort of argument, Chiemi inwardly smiled at the two as she coughed once again and said “I’ve brought many different fireworks for you to choose from. Natsuki, I’ve got lots of Arials that go ‘BOOM’ they even screech if you choose the right ones, and Shizuru, there’s a lot of small fireworks for you too, Sparklers, Morning Glories, even pop pops for the two of you to play with, just don’t be throwing them at anyone, including one of us. I’m going to prep some things for it, so I want you two to get in something that you don’t mind getting dirty and come on in my room when you’re ready okay?” Without a response or even a nod, the two were changing into different clothes. Today’d be a pretty long night though Chiemi as she rushed off to her room to prepare the fireworks before her Seconds beat her there to it.

The night was chilly and perfect for playing with a little fire that went boom. Smiling, Chiemi placed each of the fireworks in an area where both Shizuru and Natsuki could choose which they each wanted from the pile. There was also a small candle that Natsuki and Shizuru could use to light their swirly little mosquito punks. It was nice to finally be back and talking with her two little ones, they were so funny to listen to and to watch, though it was amazing how even through around a year, they were still pretty much the same. Thinking back she then smiled, knowing that at least now she knew where she could pick off from.

Natsuki was lighting arials that thundered in the sky, emitting bright lights that the fireflies around them couldn’t even compare too. Shizuru’s small sparklers were more of the things that the fireflies were attracted to as they were around the same size. Shizuru continued to make sparkle-filled smoke trails with her sparklers and morning glories and Natsuki started up some fountians. Within moments, the two of them were engrossed in the fireworks that they both could agree on and giggled at the fountain when it would shriek. The stars were bright as well as the moon as the two Seconds played fireworks and Chiemi watched. There was a whole stock of fireworks that Chiemi brought back so they’d be lighting fireworks almost till dawn if they wanted to use all of the ones that were currently out up. Watching Natsuki and Shizuru have fun, Chiemi left the door open making sure to watch them as she started to cook up a warm pot of soba. It was filled with sweet charsiu, green onions, and fish cake. It was pretty much a tradition to eat this on the night of New Years, but since she hadn’t been home, now was a better time than never. Popping open a bottle of sparkling cider, Chiemi poured a cup for her as well as Natsuki and Shizuru and finally set the table. It had taken a while as she still had to keep a watchful eye on the two who were playing outside, and Natsuki especially had given Chiemi quite a few scares with her daring nature, walking up to the fireworks and only running away seconds before it exploded. She was lucky though that Shizuru was a lot more calm and she didn’t have to worry about her getting into any trouble where she could possibly blow a limb off or anything.

Creaking the door open slightly to let herself out once more, Chiemi viewed the pile of unused fireworks and saw that Natsuki and Shizuru had made somewhat of a dent in it as she then walked over to it and started bagging some up so that they could go inside to eat. Seeing this, Natsuki pouted a bit until Shizuru reminded her that they were about to eat, something that Natsuki liked to do, especially since she put mayonnaise on everything that she ate. Finally all but a bag was packed as it was left for the two to finish up their fun. Chiemi stored it in storage for next year as she hoped that they’d be able to use it then as well.

Finished with all of their explosions and bright lighted fun, Natsuki and Shizuru merrily walked in and sat upon their chairs. Their’s were somewhat miniature because of course they were quite small however, they knew how to pretty much take care of that as they had been taking care of themselves for a whole year. Pouring almost an entire spoonful of mayonnaise into her soba, Natsuki smiled and started devouring the meal vigorously. As this was seen, a rather calm Shizuru grabbed her chopsticks, said her ‘itadakimasu’ and started to eat it calmly. Naturally, Natsuki finished first and asked for seconds, thirds, boy, that kid could eat. Shizuru was full with her one bowl though as Natsuki, Shizuru, and Chiemi grabbed their glass of sparkling cider and wished each other all a Happy New Year. Sipping the cider until each glass was empty, made everyone sleepy, especially the still growing seconds. Tuckered out, they were placed into bed and tucked in, something that they hadn’t gotten in a while and finally as all lights were out for the two, Chiemi walked outside to see the mess. It was what one could call a catasrophe however Chiemi just smiled and shook her head, tomorrow they’d have a lot of cleaning to do. Going to bed now though, Chiemi wiped her eyes and lay in bed, soon drifting off into a long sleep.
