Kilua sat peacefully under the thorny acacia trees. She'd seen tall TALL animals eating off them and had wanted to investigate. They were taller than both her mummy and daddy put together! But unfortunatly they had wandered off by the time the little cub had made it to the outcrop of trees.

Now she sat and looked up at the softly rustling leaves making a light-speckled roof about her head. The sun shining down made little spots of sunlight dance amongst the shade on the ground and soon she'd made up a new game of trying to catch them.

((Hope it's ok than my Ewansiha is a juve, but he's a young one and almost cub-sized because he's of my Rahima's bloodline. ^^; ))

Nearby, another young lion paused in his wandering, black-capped ears flicking towards the sound of a scuffle and talk. Clearly not the distant aunt he was looking for in the pridelands, though they were related. Not that they or Ewansiha knew it of course. Still, he could go ask for directions, maybe play with the pair...

Ready to run if their parents were about and would objet to a rogue, he slunk towards the acacia trees, minding his paws for inch long thorns on the ground. He offered a smile and watched for a moment.

"Hello?"

'Kota puffed out his chest at the description of a giraffe. No he hadn't seen them but they sounded interesting he would have to try and find one one day. "Walkin' trees huh?" Looking thoughtful he nibbled his sisters ear for a moment longer before she shrugged him off and he stood to attention with his chin held high.

A greeting from a stranger he was curious who it could be though noticing it was only a juvewnile lion he relaxed and sat though he still puffed out his chest that white fleck clearly visable against the rest of his dark fur. "Alo, who are you then?" he questioned raising a curious brow to the pale male his dark eyes curious and perhaps a little suspicious he was starting to feel very protective about his sisters. After all they relied on him he was their brother and it was his job to protect them, or so was his belief.

(( Ooo... what does Ewansiha and Mosi look like? 4laugh ))

Pink-tipped ears swivel round at the sound of another young lion approaching and calling out to them. Kilua's head quickly turned to follow the direct her ears were now pointing and she spotted the other female. She was about the same size as the other stranger, which was a tad bigger than her and her brother.

"Umm, hello? Who are you two?" She took a couple of steps away from her brother but didn't go bounding over confidently. If her parents had been here to look after her she wouldn't have been nearly as shy. But right now all she had was her brother 'Kota to look after her.

When the female cub appears 'Kota turned once again and still between the two new arrivals "I'm Nahodha'Kota but most people just call me 'Kota" he stated simply his coal black eyes glancing between the young female and older male. "This is my sister kilua" To many this was perhaps unbeleivable being a jet black male standing next to a pretty much pure white female but they were related and he was the only boy in the family too.

"s'nice to meet you miss Mosi" he stated looking at her fur colouration he was reminded of himself slightly though his markings were so much thicker and not quite so intricate.

Nogea had tracked his brother towards the Pridelands, he had been off on his own, planning on learning to fight to one day take down his brother, though if he would actually get to that, well, who knows.

He had slowly and silently as possible tracked Ewan from just outside the pridelands so seeing him amoungst all these cubs confussed him for a little. He walked over to his brother, nudging his side slightly. His red pelt sticking out pretty badly amoungst the grass and other cubs.

"Same to you." Mosi grinned, letting Kilua sniff at her before moving to circle the others, closing the move with an inquisitive wiff at them all. She nudged her nose against Kilua's in a friendly manner, finding herself drawn more naturally to the female since she'd yet to make any female friends her age. "Sounds like my baby brother, Jini."

Though that wasn't really true, just in Mosi's eyes. Jini wasn't as adventurous as her, leading her to think he preferred to stay at home.

"Kilua, Kota, and Ewan, huh? And who are you?"

Her auburn eyes drifted to the newcomer, remaining closer to her newfound young friends. He seemed friendly enough with Ewan, were they related then?

A small sniff of Mosi reminded Kilua of other lions that lived around here; her dad, his mum and a few others round and about. So Mosi was a Pridelander too! This discovery made Kilua's little face lit up in delight. Perhaps she could be a friend? She did seem nice! And not so rolly-polly as 'Kota. While the pink cub liked a wrestle with him, it was good to find one who wouldn't pounce on her and chew her ear. She only had two after all and 'Kota seemed determined to gnaw them off. Plus they were ticklish! whee

"Hey, wanna play a game?" She suddenly bounced forward. The other older males seemed a bit busy with each other and not paying her too much attention. But maybe Mosi and 'Kota would like to play something? "Was trying to catch the daytime stars, see?" She pounced on a spot of light that fell through the leaves above and onto the shaded ground. Of course she caught nothing, it being just a ray of light. "But it's not working... so we could play something else?"
