I've never really ever been into the whole call into radio stations thing..... they never offer anything I'd spend 5 minutes on hold and the frustration of having to call a million times to get threw.
But this morning my radio station announced that they are giving away tickets to the premiere of Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest, which will be held at Disneyland, where you get to hang out with Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley for the premiere, which is cool in itself since I worship Johnny. And not just for being attractive, the fact that the man is the best character actor I've seen. Just being in the same theme park would be cool...... anyways.
So basically, I've called....and called....and waited on hold, and then called again.
I hate it when they actually pick up and tell you that you where one away from being the winner......I would rather them NOT pick up at all.........Does this bother anyone else.
I had the phone pick up on me, and keep me on hold. A voice told me to keep waiting, and so I did......I thought i actually won...but my damn phone hung up after 3 minutes.
I'm sorry if it made no sence.....its my rant for the day...

Unlike the VGD, rants are allowed here 3nodding But I've been in your situation before. About two years ago, Metallica was coming to my town to finish off their latest tour (at the time). So the Local Rock Station, KSJO, was having a radio contest to give off tickets. About a month I tuned in each night, waiting for the time to call in and be the tenth caller (I had to wait until two Metallica songs were played back to back, this case they called it a double shot of Metallica xD). Never got through though. sad

At least someone knows my problem.....
I really wanted to win because the weekend Pirates come out is D's birthday weekend. I'm taking him to the movie anyways.....but I wanted it to be special.
I'm not one who can easily come up with romantic stuff.....I guess D got ripped off in that aspect with marrying me. I just cant seem to come up with anything sweet that actually pans all the way out.
I was just hoping to do something nice and sweet in my own way......guess it wont work. Cause I gave up on the calling in thing.

Weird, my mom wins stuff fairly often. Usually evey couple months.
