(( Anyone, feel free to join in. <3 For reference, my lab assistant's name is Nick Andrews. I hope it isn't minded that I used his point of view just to start it off. ))
Nick Andrews looked around a rather large sized man-made habitat, looking around for Sophie. While Sophie had already evolved to the stage labeled 'child', he was still quite unfamiliar with her, her personality, and much more. It guilted him that he did paperwork and notes in his quarters while she was laying alone, basking in the sun or swimming around.
Sighing, his attention brightened when he noticed her doing just that; basking in the warm blaze of the afternoon's sun. Smiling, he opened the gate and said rather quietly, "Hey there, Sophie! Wanna go to the pool?" While Sophie was still quite unfamiliar with words, she vaguely understood the word 'pool', and shifted her fins in his direction. Taking this as a yes, Nick loaded her onto a cart designed to transfer her to and from areas, considering her size.
Wheeling her back into the building, through doors and down corridors, they finally reached the pool. With a bit of struggle, he gently let her into the pool, where she immediately took off.

(( I'll do the same for a bit.. maybe switching. My researchers name is Ankh Talhmir. =3 ))
Ankh was sitting on the edge of the platform above the Community Pool, keeping a close eye on a fleeting figure below the surface in the shallow pools. The ghost moray eel, known as Addison, had recently been found in an area where there had been high levels of toxic waste. Luckily for them all, Addison had stayed mostly underground at the bottom of the seabed until being found. He had already been tested for radiation, and it had been confirmed, but they were not sure how he would turn out. Addison was the third moray eel found in that particular area with these levels of toxication. Who knew how they would turn out?
For now, Addison was a normal ghost eel; reclusive and shy, rarely coming out of his tank, even to the glass wall. he had grown fond of bits of shrimp and squid, but he had rarely ate. Ankh wasn't suprised, because for such a young eel, he was taken out of the only enviroment he had ever known, and put into another one. His tank was kept the same, at a mild temperature to simulate his normal habitat. One thing she had discovered, was that whenever the other fish moved away, Addison would come into the area, curiously scouting out his surroundings. The doctors and other researchers had told her that many fish would become increasingly curious. So, if Addison was doing this, Ankh was happy beacause this meant he was normal.
Addison was busy wiggling around, staying close to the large entryway back to his tank. The large pool in the middle of this strange cave was curious, to say the least. He didn't want to meet with others, but when they disappeared, he felt the oddest urge to go and see what they had done. Usually, it was nothing, but he couldn't deny himself that urge to find out about things.
He did miss home, alot. He was very young, and often couldn't remember what 'home' was. It was colder than his new home, but there was something in the water that had made him feel sick and tired. That wasn't the case here, but it felt odd to him that that element wasn't here.
He perked up at the reverberating waves of Sophie's arrival, and instictively he dove for his tube. But he didn't go all the way, his head peeked out slightly, staring at the far off figure of a large turtle swimming around, her human standing next to a large cart and smiling. Addison blinked his topaz eyes.

It was relatively late in the evening- not the ideal time for one to begin their day. Unfortunately, it was about the only time Eloise's grumpy little black edge moray eel would perk up enough for the girl to get a good look at her. Normally Yshe, for that was what the girl had dubbed the eel, preferred to keep to her rocky tank. But, today, Yshe was nowhere to be found. Eloise searched her enclosure, but with no luck. At first, she thought that the eel had escaped, but the cover to her tank was tightly sealed. After a bit of thought, she remembered that there was a larger pool on one of the lower floors where fish could interact with one another. Eloise then bent down and peered to the far back of Yshe's tank, where a small red light was a-glow. She'd been told that, if Yshe were to leave her own tank for the "community pool", as it was called, a motion detector would pick it up and the light would switch on. The girl breathed a sigh of relief, scooped up her notebooks and pencils, and descended to the first floor. While she searched for her charge in the water, Eloise noticed that there were a couple of other lab assistants lounging about. They seemed intent on studying their fish. Just as well- Eloise didn't much like starting random conversations. At last, she spotted her. A long line of brown and white in the back-left corner of the pool, contrasting against the bright coral. "Oh!" she gasped lightly, hurrying over to the edge of the pool. Thankfully, Yshe seemed to be perfectly fine, even enjoying the vast amount of space. Eloise ran a finger along the water's surface and discovered it was warm. It briefly passed her thoughts that she would enjoy swimming in the warm water, but she dismissed the idea, pulled out a thermometer, and recorded the water temperature- near 80 degrees (F). That was about right.
When Yshe spotted her assistant's finger skim the surface of her water, she had quickly darted to the top, looking to chase the intruding finger away. But, to her dismay, it was pulled out to jot something down on a notepad. Having lost sight of her target, the eel resumed what she had been doing prior to the distraction. It seemed that she wasn't alone in this large, comfortable environment. Though she couldn't see into every little crevice, there was a rather large figure floating out in the open. It cast a dark shadow on the sand. The little eel was curious as to what this creature could be, but its size made her nervous. She certainly wasn't going to be eaten for the sake of discovery.
((Ehehe... I haff no OC notes for joo all. :D))

Addison skittered around the entrance to his tank, darting this way and that way, tempted to remain but scared to do so. He hadn't noticed anyone else enter the pool, so the large turtle had still captivated his attention. He blinked his topaz eyes, then dived for the bottom of the pool, a silvery ribbon barely noticeable against the light sand.
He dove into the myriad of caves, ducking in and out, slowly getting closer to the turtle, but keeping out of site. He poked his head out from one of the caves, and noticed an eel much browner than he swimming around the edge of the Pool, a human sitting there on the dry land, doing.. something. Addison decided to ignore it, and continue on his little adventure for as long as his courage kept up.
As soon as he dove back into the cave, a crab came into view, and if a fish could squeal, Addison did. He shot out like a missle from the cave, almost reaching the top of the water before shotting for his tube, deathly afraid of the large red thing that had sharp fins.
Eeeeeeeee!

Yshe's was startled out of her fascination by the shrieking form of another eel- this one a little smaller and lighter than herself. Worried that this little scare might have caught the turtle's attention, she quickly darted into a hole in the rock, squeezing in as much of her body as possible. There, the young Ocellated Moray waited for several minutes. When she was sure she wasn't going to be spotted, she quietly slipped around to the other side of the rock. She hung close to the wall as she wriggled her way nearer the small tube that the other eel had retreated to. When she reached the entrance to the tube, Yshe wasn't exactly sure what she should do. The smaller eel inside hadn't seemed like much of a threat, but she didn't want to frighten it either. It was quite jumpy, indeed. In the end, she made the choice to take a quick peek inside the tube. The worst thing that could happen was that the eel would go further into the tube and out of the pool. Yshe peeked into the tube.

--- eeeeeeee!
In Addison's haste to escape the red thing, he smacked into the side of the tube, sending him to slowly spiral downwards until he got ahold of himself, shaking his head vigourously. His vision spun, and he thought that he would end up sick, if that was possible, until he realized he was still moving upside down.
A glimpse of yellow eyes made him jump, and he spun rightside up to see the intruder, but his head swam again and he looked a tad off balance. His topaz eyes blinked furiously until he could see properly again, and he began to back up slowly, watching the other fish until he was merely a pair of topaz eyes in a black shroud.

["Aya'..."] Yshe greeted in the language of the fish. The eel darted past the entrance, then turned around and wriggled inside. She rested on the bottom of the inside of the tube for a second, before backing about halfway out. She twisted around and exited the tube to the community pool. Yshe wasn't far when she spun around again and looked back into the little hole in the reef wall where the other eel lurked. She approached more slowly this time, not going into the tube. She backed up equally slowly, holding eye contact with the other. ["Ehh..."] she whined.
