"Something...Is not right." the voice of Air broke the tension-filled silence that the four siblings had been in for the past few days. The spells had been cast, the proxies were at work, and the Iridae who had fallen were indeed taken on by spirit keepers. Silly ones, in their opinion - Air's opinion, to be more technical - but at least they were taken. And The Medium was, thankfully, doing her job.

"When is something ever not right?" Came the exhasperated sound of Water. She was tired of listening to Air and Fire always proclaim doom upon the world. Nothing was ever right with either of them and it was wearing on the poor Empath's nerves. They may not have bodies any more, but they could still feel. And damnit, that meant she could feel them too. Now it wasn't often that Water snapped like that - and it would be quite noticable.

"Sister, you surprise me with your tone."

"Forgive me. You and Fire were thinking out loud for the past two days and it finally got to me."

"We were thinking aloud because there is trouble brewing, and we're apparently the only two who can see it." Fire's voice murmured and came from somewhere to the right of the two, his thoughts preoccupied with just that. It wasn't as if he were the only one... he was certain the others could feel it as well. But as usual, he and Air were the only ones to actually say anything. "Perhaps if you would remove the rose-tinting from your eyes..."

"That's enough." Earth finally spoke up, tired of the bickering between the lot of them. "Something IS wrong, but turning on each other won't help it." She almost wished she could stand there with her arms crossed like she did when she had her own form. It was usually enough to get the other three to shut up and listen. "Now..." she began again. "If anyone has suggestions, we'd love to hear them."

Air mentally rolled her eyes, despite Earth's tone. She knew exactly what the "Little Mother" would be doing at that moment, had they their physical forms, "Oddly enough, I agree with our Little Mother. Don't get used to it. There's not much we can do about it, Brother, but I'm sure there is SOMETHING. It's yet to cross my mind..." she paused, wishing she could hit something. It was very tiresome being unable to physically express emotions.

"It's yet to cross your mind, dear, because you tend to only think the worst. Why can you not see the good in life too?"

"I don't know, Water, maybe it's the fact we're stuck in a stone."

A soft snort from Water could be heard before she sighed, "Who's fault is that?"

There was a pregnant silence as their minds turned to Fire. As usual, his bright ideas had back fired on them. Granted, they all knew the alternative, but hey, they were allowed to feel resentment at times, weren't they? For once, Earth's butting in wasn't helping matters. The silence had annoyed Water, and when Water wasn't in a good mood, that strength and ferocity that was rarely shown...Came out.

"It's not the time to point fingers, sister," Air murmured, taking a few moments to calm her own torrents of emotions down. The four were never good working under pressure and tended to take it out on eachother. Being stuck for eternity with your siblings and no other interraction was hard, "Fire, do you have any bright ideas?"

Water tactfully refrained from making a comment.

He noted the silence and let it linger for a bit longer to see if Water did, indeed, rise to the bait. When she didn't, he turned his thoughts outward and did the mental equivilent of pacing across a room. "I might, if I knew what is actually happening out there," he muttered, pausing in his mental 'walk'. "My plan was perfect. I'd counted on every contingency, but now something's off. If I could just figure out which piece is ill-fitted, I could muddle through the rest of it."

Oh, he knew that his plans more often than not fell through, but that wasn't HIS fault, after all. He planned everything to the letter, it was the others involved that invariably screwed things up.

"Perhaps we can contact one of the two?" Earth suggested, thinking to the few that they could still interact with outside of the stone. "They may know something that we do not, after all."

"The Medium knows nothing of the going ons in Heaven. She has little power, and while I'm sure she can hear us bickering, she can be no help...No...Perhaps our Communicator can...Which is it now? They change so often I forget..."

"Uhm...." Water, quite frankly, forgot most of the time as well. Thinking a moment, she remembered, "I believe it's the Guardian of Fear?" Back to her meek voice, Water sunk to the back of the conversation, only speaking when she had something useful to say.

Ah. Right. Why had they chosen him, again? Wasn't that one of Fire's ideas? Not that it mattered. The guardian himself was an okay guy...For the most part. Kind of creepy. Then again, Medi had.....

Best not get started on Medi, "Right. Fear. Uh...Fear, darling?"

...Was Air using her sweet voice? This HAD to be good. A voice answered then, sounding distant and slightly static. Though that didn't take away from the insanely...dark...tone.

"You rang, Air?"

"...We need to speak to you..."

Earth shivered inwardly, that voice grating a bit on her nerves. She would let Air take the reins in this conversation, seeing that she seemed to have the best grasp of what might be happening.

Fire, however, wasn't being so generous. "What is happening out there that's destroying my perfect plan?" he asked, sounding irritated at best. In truth, he was livid, but he had no way of using body language to portray this any longer. "Something is wrong out there, and if things had been going according to plan, they wouldn't be."

"Perfection?" Mentally, Air raised an eyebrow and chuckled. Yes, Fire certainly had an ego on him, "Nevermind."

"Fear, darling..." Water started, knowing that her two more...abrasive...Siblings simply wouldn't do a good job at trying to find it out without offending someone. She'd lived with them long enough to realize that despite her...Well, whatever Fire called them, "What Fire meant to say is..."

She was cut off by a curt laugh. One that would probably freeze Earth's blood. If they actually had blood anymore.

"The proxies you made for the original fallen...Have disappeared, like you wanted them to. But you forgot that they were fueled by a human. They were most unpleased with being discarded and since...Well...They're TIED to their spirit keepers...." he paused, figuring the four were intelligent enough to see where he was going with this. They couldn't fade completely unless the Spirit Keepers were killed. Just as they knew the Iridae were safe so long as the Spirit Keepers were, on Earth.

"Oh dear...."

Fire was silent (for a change), and it was Earth who spoke up first. "Where are they going, then?" she mused aloud, now likely mentally pacing as well. "They can't just be no where, since they can't fade completely. So they have to be somewhere." She paused then. "What if..."

"They're all together..." Fire finished, his mind drawing the same conclusion. "I hadn't planned on that..." it was as close to an admission of guilt that anyone was likely to get out of him.

"No matter," Earth retorted. "Fear, what of the ones that haven't faded out? Are they aware of this too?"

"I don't know. And I don't know where they're going, either. I'm not exactly a proxy, they're not exactly overly kind to us originals, you know."

Water sighed, "But they...They can't be planning something WRONG could they? I mean..."

"Water, no offense..." Air started dryly, mentally eyeing her sister, "But get your non existant head out of the clouds and look at things for what they are..." Air sighed and closed her mental eye, wishing something fierce she was able to smite something, "What are we going to do?"

"Sorry I can't be of more help," Fear answered, "But I have a job to do."

"I have a plan."

Those words should have been enough to instill fear into anyone, including Fear himself. Especially considering that they came from Fire's end of the rock, and 'Brother' would have likely been pacing once again as he forumated his theory in his mind.

A low groan came from Earth then, and she turned her attention towards the opposite end of their miniscule domain. "I don't think now is the time to-.."

"Shut UP and let me think, woman," Fire snarled, his thoughts ordering themselves in his head as his new and improved (and failsafe, of course) plan began to weave itself into solidity in his mind.

Air, quite frankly, gave him a mental look equivilant to a "Death Glare" as he uttered the fateful words. The fact that Fire was cooking up something was enough to send Fear running, as she heard him getting further and further away from the stone. As if that wasn't an indication of something.

"Don't speak to our Little Mother that way, Fire," Water reminded gently, mentally reaching out to smooth Earth's ruffled feathers. They were all used to Fire's...Passion...But that didn't mean that it was okay to snark at eachother. She said as much.

"Hypocrite," answered Air at Water's words. Hadn't she just been snarking at Fire not too long ago? Then again, Earth hadn't deserved it and Fire had but...That was beside the point. Hadn't it always been Air and Fire against Water and Earth?

Or was it that Water stood alone in her own little world?

"I'm all right, little one," Earth whispered, still a bit taken aback by the vehemence in Fire's voice. Normally, even when he was thinking, he was respectful. This truly must have rattled him enough that he was trying his best to make up for it now, with his 'new plan'. "I'm more than happy to let him think if it can correct this situation."

"What if we enlisted the help of those who haven't Fallen yet?" he murmured, out loud, but that wasn't really a question just yet. He was organizing his thoughts still, and sometimes it was best to get them out in the open. "After all... if they haven't lapsed yet, they have no proxy, and therefore no weakness, as the others do."

This rock just wasn't big enough... and legs were still necessary for pacing. Still, he made an effort of it, and his voice seemed to track back and forth across the end of the stone. "If it's the proxies doing this... and they have something bad in mind, it's likely either against us or against the ones that Fell. After all, there's really no one else to blame. They can't do anything against us, so I 'm going to assume it's their counterparts on earth."

It made perfect sense, at least to him. "The one thing someone can't fight is themselves... at least, not the ones on Gaia. The proxies, however, have full reason to be angry at THEM, and want them out of the way. That's the only way they'd be able to take their full positions again. We could use that to our advantage, and find help within the ranks of those who haven't made their Mistake yet!"

"Well, Brother, you're actually making sense," Air spoke, surprise plainly obvious in her voice. He'd most likely take that as an insult, but coming from Air, it was most definitely a compliment. The woman certainly wasn't prone to giving them, and even that little hint of leeway meant something, "But how, exactly, are we going to do that? You know they're all doomed to make their mistake. And they've been coming closer and closer together..."

This time, it was Water with the idea, "Perhaps The Medium could be of help after all...She is our eyes and ears down on Gaia. Perhaps she can come up with an idea that we cannot. She was always an intelligent one, even if..." She let the thought trail. They knew what she did. Water tactfully let that be the end of that particular gate of discussion. After all, Earth and Fire had almost been lost because of that mistake.

"They're all doomed to make their mistake...." Fire murmured, latching onto that bit of information and falling silent again as he went back to his musings.

"Let's leave The Medium's transgressions out of this," Earth said softly, keeping her voice as soothing as possible. She remembered those events full well and chose not to relive them. "However, it's also a good idea to ask her for her input. She has more dealings with the fallen than we do."

"I was going to, Little Mother," Water assured her, a mental smile taking place from Water's side of the stone, "I doubt she would listen to me. Air, you must call her." Her voice was too soft for Medi to even pay attention to. The fact of the matter was, The Medium worked with water too much to pay any mind.

Air sighed, "Must I?" it was obvious that the element was not fond of the fallen Iridae. Why should she be, after all? She had almost cost her two of her siblings. Bah. Why was she cursed with being the eldest? "Very well. Medium, can you hear us?"

"When can't I hear you?" the monotonous voice of the fallen Iridae came. She was obviously not pleased, "I've heard your bickering for the last," she paused as she calculated, "Hour now, and I believe I have found a solution to Fire's poorly constructed catastrophe of a plan."

"I'll have you know it is NOT poorly constructed," He hissed, Fire's anger rising and letting others know exactly why he held rein over that fickle and oftentimes volatile element.

"Calm now, let her speak..." Earth turned her attention back to Medi then, a smile in her voice. "I'm pleased to hear this... please tell us what you have determined?"

"You call proxies going missing not poorly constructed?" The Medium answered, a snort in her usually monotonous voice, "Despite the overlooked variables, your plan for the ones who have yet to make a mistake has some good points. Yes, they are doomed to make a mistake...so long as they are in Heaven. They are not able to make mistakes as large as others with muted powers, on Gaia. Simply choose to Iridae and have them reborn. Not fallen, reborn. I suggest choosing two that would hurt us greatly should a proxy be made of them and a rebellion occur. My mind springs to Poison and Healing. They could be deadly if on the wrong side..."

Air mentally blinked at Medi's plan. It was, in all honestly, genius, "Well then. I think The Medium has come up with...A very good plan."

"Well done," voiced Water, obviously amused with Air's praise.

"I would have thought of that," grumbled Fire... and in fact, he had been on the verge of it, he was certain.

"Very well done," Earth commended, and would have likely applauded had she the hands with which to do so. "Poison and Healing are indeed the two most dangerous... and seeing as how they have their own 'unique' attributes, it may do them well to wind up on Gaia before they fall and the Proxies wind up with copies of them on their side."

"Sure you would have," Water soothed him, mentally patting her older brother. It wouldn't do to have him more upset at the moment. They needed to pool their resources to send the two down...And to actually summon them. They were only SUPPOSED to talk to two Iridae at a time. Now, they had to come up with a way to speak to two others.

Air genuinely smiled. Or, rather, she gave as much a smile as she could without lips, "Thank you, Medium, you're dismissed. Now, Brother, Sisters...How....Do we go about doing this? They cannot be in crystals..."

What seemed to be only several hours (or it could have been several days) later, the four were pleased at long last.

"We're just lucky they agreed," Earth said, wishing she could SEE the eggs and at least hold them for a moment before sending them on their way. The two might have balked... and she wouldn't have blamed them if they had, to be honest. It was bad enough that all the Iridae were destined to fall, but asking them to do it WILLINGLY was another story.

Even if they weren't actually Falling.

"I'm glad I thought of it," said Fire proudly, and one could almost SEE the beaming smile that would have been on his face.

"Right...You thought of it," Water answered, rolling her eyes, "Someone get the pins out."

Air actually laughed, free of some kind of burden...At least, for now, "I would if I had the arms. And Fire would be a pin cushion..."

The four went on bantering for only a little while longer before the eggs were sent, carefully, to The Medium's custody.

Thus...Welcome, Belial & Belias to Gaia.

Eirwen is Belial's older sister, and Kyrianna's only other child. She's a sweet heart, loves fluffy things, and despises the heat. Unfortunately, since Bel is part reptile, the house can no longer be an igloo...Much to Eirwen's displeasure
