No matter what she'd figured about the stone, the fact that it had broken and the mist lurking around it still bothered Trio enough that she finally gave in, seeking out that run down cottage once more, and the creepy woman who dwelled within. It had taken some work - even years of familiarity with Barton, Durem, and their surrounding areas didn't ensure that the blonde couldn't get lost, and her memory of the first visit was rather vague on the directions involved in getting there. So she'd driven around a while, picking up lunch at a small cafe in Barton and eating it outside on the edge of that town before finally happening across a bit of familiar ground. From there, the trek had been a bit more easy, and by midafternoon, she was rapping at the cottage door.

People. Why on earth did she bother with them? Oh. Right. She had to. Grumpily, The Medium lifted herself from her usual perch in the sealed off room, making her way to the door. Once more, the beads didn't so much as shudder as she passed them.

Deciding to have a bit of fun and using what small power she had, the entire room became ice cold before she opened the door, "You rang?" she asked, voice the same monotonous sound it had been the first time both had heard her.

And just as creepy. Hell, the woman had a spider leg hanging from her lips. Obviously she enjoyed an alternate diet as well.

"Are you going to stand there, or are you going to come in?"

That was... um... Trio stared for a moment, then nearly stepped back a pace before steeling herself. "That... you... there's something hanging from your lip," she finally pointed out, doing her best to sound polite rather than horrified. It wouldn't do to offend the one person she could get answers from. Desperate to look anywhere but at that little eight-legged creature, Trio looked around, her eyes falling on Vin in some surprise before she nodded to him with a weak smile and turned her gaze back to The Medium.

Vin covered his mouth in a sort of disgust, staring blankly at the spider limb hanging from the eerie seer's lip. A sudden flush of cold air smashed into Vin, shaking him from his trance.

Looking over at Trio, Vin returned the nod and smiled silently then headed inside as to not let the... freaking cold air out. Looking around again at the housing... still everything seemed to be god awful.

Vin shook his head and waited for Trio inside, looking down every so often at the misting crystal that hung from his neck in plane view.

The Medium raised a brow and shrugged, pink tongue flicking out to catch the leg. It disappeared within her mouth and she turned around, walking inside the house.

Stopping at the beaded curtain, she turned and looked at them, dark voided eyes seeming to look INSIDE them, rather than at them, "Is there a reason you've bothered me?"

A quick look was given and she noticed the crystals had cracked. The children should be there soon, then. Hopefully.

Trio glanced again at Vin, curious as to why he was there, but shrugged, stepping forward a pace. "I wanted to make certain I haven't done something to endanger the child," she said, holding up the cracked crystal by the chain, so that it swung back and forth before her chest.

"I'm here for the same reason too!"
Vin announced his reason as well; agreeing with Trio for her reason was the same as his. Silently stepping near Trio, Vin whispered "My names Vin..." The young elf silently stepped back, thinking it would be best to at least know the name of each other.

"You didn't," she answered simply, crossing her arms over her hidden chest. She was wearing the same robes she had worn the first time. In fact, she looked the same she did the first time.

She probably never changed.

"Is there anything else you'd like to know?"

Trio's head tilted toward Vin, but her eyes were still on The Medium. Somehow, she got the distinct impression that if there was anyone who might be a threat in this place, it was her. Then again, it could just be that creepy look making her imagination go wild.

"What's with this mist?" she asked, frowning. "Is it supposed to do that? Is it dangerous to m... to us?" At the last moment, she added Vin into her question.

Vin's eyes grew in size, looking down at the mist emitted from his crystal. Never had he though about the mist being a danger to him, but really anything could... knowing Vin and his habit and pet peeves of things being in order. Already being in this house sent weird vibes up his spine...

Questions?
Vin pondered long and hard...
Why are these crystals here, what did they do, why is that Seer here, and what is her name?

"It means that your child has gained enough life essence and is preparing to make the tiresome journey into life yet again. You will have your infants soon enough. It is not harmful to you."

She paused and leaned against the curtain of beads. Unsolid, yet she could lean against it as if it were a wall, when at other times, she could simply walk through it. Curiouser by the moment, it seemed.

As if sensing Vin's questions, she laughed, "I have no name, for one. I am known as The Medium. I was Death. Now I am simply here. These crystals are here because they made mistakes and now must pay and redeem themselves. I am here because I made the biggest mistake of all."

Her hollow eyes closed, "No, I won't tell you."

At that, Trio's mouth quirked wryly. She would've been highly suspicious if the woman had volunteered such information so easily. Instead, she glanced to Vin. "Looks like you and I are in the same boat," she noted, more than ready to get out of the cottage again. "I think I'm done with my questions for now... if you've got some time, I'd be happy to buy you a cup of coffee?" If the temperature of the place was any suggestion, this Medium wanted them gone as much as Trio wanted to BE gone.

Vin looked around confused then toward the Medium, shaking his head violently.
"Yeah I'm done here... thanks for the information.. umm... Death!" Vin glanced up to Trio and smiled. Sensing the same Trio was feeling... the Medium was obvious an anti-social person.

"You want to buy me coffee? I think that would be awesome!" Vin silently smiled, trying to remember the last time the young elf was out and about with another living person.
