my god, this is my fifth thread in this guild alone!!
I'm not a person to make threads. In fact discluding this guild, I've made about... 7 threads in my entire course of being here eek >_>
anyways, onto the topic.
I recently got a blue box and I got excited, because I'm suddenly getting a load of events [like one every week or two]. But this is only my second blue box. But I don't know what to do with it. Risk opening it? Or sell it as is? Because I need all the cash I can get so I can finish up my wish list, have cash for letters, and have spare for the fishing that could be coming up any week now. So this thread is somewhat of an excuse to turn to others for advice. sweatdrop
Buit this also got me thinking: How do other people deal with events? I mean, obviously you take each event different.
So how do you react when you get any of the four events? [ET, PB, PL, BB].
What do you do with the resulting event? [sans PL because, well, you get 1k gold. Nuf said.]

What do you do with the resulting event?
ET: Immediately sell it for a low but reasonable price.
PB: rip it to shreds to see what's inside
BB: ... apparently make a thread and find out what the hell to do with it.
The other time I got a blue box, I opened and got.... my dried grass skirt, which I'm not sure what to do with... I'll probably sell it for a few, or donate it to someone.

ET: Yay! I can sell this for 2k!
PB: Ooooo...open it? Yes? No? Headband? Andorid Parts? Hmmm....I wonder what these are going for in the Exchange...

What do you do with the resulting event?
ET: For the past few months I have been selling them in the Marketplace for 2k.
PB: I haven't gotten one in over a year(I only got one ever and that was the first week of July03 blaugh ) but seeing as how I have most of the PB items I want(except for headbands) I would probably sell it in the Marketplace for whatever the going rate happened to be.
BB: I'd open my first one(just because it was my first) and sell the others. Or save them...I dunno 0_o

What do you do with the resulting event?
ET: Open it on the off chance that I get one of the few uncommons I have yet to recieve - though I could probably buy them all with what I'd earn from selling it sweatdrop )
PB: Rip it open, for the off chance that I might not just get another gas mask or NM goggles. The response hasn't been positive for the last 8 boxes. sweatdrop
BB: Rip it open, hoping to recieve a rare that doesn't suck. After five boxes I have yet to recieve something other than an uncommon.

I sell them all. I am not very lucky and tend to get bad items.

PL: Oh, cool. (I've got a lot of these lately, so not a whole lot of reaction)
ET: Sigh, and remember the days when you could sell them instantly for 2K and they were worth every penny...
PB and BB: Yay! mad d
What do you do with the resulting event?
ET: Sell in the vend, as soon as I have free space.
PB: Sell, but probably in the exchange (I've been able to sell them for more there). They've always been overvalued, IMO...
BB: I'm a big believer in these; I always open them and I've had decent luck (except the arrow-though-my-head incedent).

ET: I like how they look. Thus, I hoard them as long as possible. I like to use them to barter in the Exchange once I've got a good amount.
BB: It's like April Fools all over again! I name them and give them a place of honor.
PB: Only a couple of these - I usually sell them straight off.
The only time I actually open random events is when there's an item update, in the hopes of selling one of the new goodies while they're still shiney and expensive.

BB: Keep it in my inventory until i find a seller or a new item is out

I open whatever events I get now. I don't really need anything anymore, and I like taking chances.
Even if the items potentially suck. ^^

I open all of them, but I mostly bet about it with my friends, if they guess the item, they get to keep it. And if they get it, they do it too~ I love opening them, even if the item reeks.

PL: promptly invest it in the marketplace. 3nodding
ET: Ponder whether I want to sell it or open it...I think I'd usually sell it, but I've only ever gotten three xd and I only sold one...

I used to just sell them all now I open them all out of the desire to get a full set someday without haveing to pay for each peice item.
