Birthday: December 7th
Stage: Toddler

Personality: Holden is a quiet boy, literally. He doesn't talk, at least not much, usually only saying something when hand signs can't get the point across and when that happens he usually says as little as possible. He likes people though it just takes him a little while to get use to someone.
He dislikes dirt and messes. He even goes so far as to clean his food before he eats it, having to dip everything in water before he eats it. That however seems more like a compulsion than anything else as he won't eat if he doesn't do that. He is also the main reason the apartment is halfway clean, if he thinks something is making a mess he'll through it in the office or Tristan's room (he is never in those rooms so they're allowed to be dirty).
Under his bed is a bit of a different story however, that is where he keeps his horde. It is where he puts everything important to him, or everything he knows he shouldn't have (say things he "borrows" from other people). Its a disater zone.
((I'll add more probably my brain just isn't working))
Likes: His puppy Hamlet, Story time, cartoons (particularly superheroes), Shiny things.
Dislikes: Small places, mornings, dirt, messes
Random Facts
- Holden was named after the main character of Catcher in the Rye Holden Caulfield who is a cynical jerk, Tristan isn't sure why he picked that name, but he did.
- Holden is a Sagittarius
- Because of him compulsion with food (washing foot and stuff) he can't and wont eat soup or icecream.
OOC Notes
I wanted to kinda explain how Holden came to have his OCD of sorts in my head. As raccoons pick through garbage and such I can see why people might not get it. The backstory I came up with for Holden, his life before involves him being in captivity of sorts and when in captivity raccoons are more likely to clean their food, and thats why Holden does it... so now you know! I should have waited until his childhood for this to start... but there isn't much I can do about that now can I?
I had originally thought his not talking would come from his past life too, but changed my mind. He simply doesn't like to talk. He'll be more prone to talking when he gets older though

All raccoons are nocturnal and omnivorous, eating berries, insects, eggs and small animals. Raccoons sometimes wash, or douse, their food in water before eating it. It is unknown why raccoons perform dousing, but cleaning food is unlikely to be the reason. Studies have found that raccoons engage in dousing motions when water is unavailable; researchers note that captive raccoons are more likely than wild raccoons to douse food. It has been suggested that captive raccoons are mimicking fishing and shellfish-foraging behaviors. Dr. Tristan Kane
Age - 30
Personality - Tristan gets attached to things very easily and when he finds something he cares about he holds on tight. While his clinginess can scare people away he makes a good friend for anyone who can put up with him. It doesn’t take much to hurt him either, if someone pushes away from him slightly he becomes depressed. He pretends like it doesn’t affect him however, doing the tough guy thing, pretending to be strong.
He is very well read and loves classical music (though he’ll listen to anything). He is also a huge movie buff and will watch anything he can get his hands on regardless of how bad it may be.
Plants depress him. His ex-lover Felix was a botonist so plants make Tristan think of him and when ever he thinks of Felix, things go down hill from there.
After having quit smoking for about half a year, he picked it up again (bad boy!) He smokes when nervous or depressed (so he smokes alot). When he is in a place where he can't smoke he plays with his lighter which looks like this)
History - Tristan grew up in a small town, the kind where everyone knew him and was related to him in one-way or another. He was an only child, but it wasn’t his parent’s choice to have things that way, there were complications with his birth, which resulted in his mother unable to have any more children.
He was the child who always brought home stray animals to look after and living in the country there was no shortage of animals. His parents let him keep the animals; since they could have only him they spoiled him. Squirrels, rabbits, mice, small birds, cats, dogs, newts and anything else you could think of, Tristan had at least one of them at some point.
It came as no surprise when he decided to go on with post secondary education to work with animals. University was a bit of a trying time relationship at least, he was never very good at finding girlfriends, they generally had a habit of cheating on him.

The two are very close, like brothers. Cody looked after Tristan after his break up with Felix and helped him stop drink when that got out of control. They talk on the phone a lot now.
Noah Kane - Tristan's father. The two have a fairly complicated relationship. Noah was never comfortable with Tristan's relationship wih another man, and was mad when his son started working at McDonalds ranting about how he wasted money to get his high education. Its a very strained relationship.
