(*plots* XD This fits in with another plotty thing I've been planning with two other SoA goers~ I hope you don't mind.)

A glistening golden-orange sun sank behind the land, the clouds in the sky a hot pink. The wind picked up as the sky darkened to a deep blue, stars poking through the sheets of sky. Fuhatijumu was hiding among large rocks, crawling between them as he sniffed the ground. He was never sure what territory he was in, never sure of the surrounding air. Fuhatijumu was raised on these lands, and he had forgotten them in the humans captivity. Dirt flew up into the air as Fuhati lay down in the grass between two rocks. It was heaven sent that he even got to see this sunset. His mind drifted back to where he lived. The humans and all the eyes. Mouth opened wide he yawned rising again. Food. A single thought ran through his mouth watering. Antelope, water buffalo, zebra. Fuhati didnt really care as long as it tasted good.

[No, it's fine. ^__^]The dark, tall femme slipped quietly through the long grass that brushed against her legs, her pale violet eyes on the ground in front of her dark-toed paws. This was one of the few moments she only had just one of her three to look after. Korou and Hinotama were elsewhere, exploring and playing. They were growing older, and she could hardly keep them at her side forever, just because she was afraid they may get hurt. She just hoped they stayed together. They were safer that way.
She let out a soft sigh, coming to a stop in Fuhati's line of sight, looking over her shoulder at the cub perched on her back. The white, purple-spotted cub was busy was currently watching a butterfly fluttering near he and his mother. He was standing up, mindless to Zakiya's slight discomfort in this position. With a cute cub-growl, he swats at the fluttering bug, then grins at his mother's soft chuckle. [And WOAH, that's really crap. Very sorry. x.x]

(Mine is crap~ XD Omigossshhh. Zakiya is purddy~)
Fuhati listened in, a cub growled in the distance he then lowered as he prowled through the grass, sounds coming from everywhere. His ears twitched to the left, possibly a rabbit or another cub rustled around. Fuhati felt his stomach rumble and he cursed the humans for giving him their intoxicating drugs. He placed a golden paw in front of him, his orange eyes watching intently.

[Thaanks. XD I love her ballerina slippers. I'm so glad Aki got one, too. ^__^ Fuhati's gorgeous, too, though. I love male cheetahs.]Zakiya shook her head slightly as she watched her son over her shoulder. She never got tired of watching Aki play. His attitudes and mannerisms changed by the minute, it seemed. She slowly lowered herself into a seated position, a delighted, musical laugh bubbling out of her as the white cub tumbled down the slope of her lean back and landed on the ground with a dull thud.
"Are you all right, Aki?" she asks, concern mingling with the laughter she tries to keep from her voice as he gives her a mild, baleful glare. He picked himself up off his rear elegantly, sniffing indignantly at her laughter. "I'm fine." Aki stretched now, trying to ignore Zakiya's laughter, wiggling his tail in the air above him, before straightening and walking a few delicate, dainty steps toward the butterfly still hovering in the air nearby. [Yet again, supremely sucky post. -.- I think I may be disappearing for a fortnight or so very soon. I'm really sorry. x.x I'll try and reply as often as I can. I'll PM you when I do.]

(I can wait. Paitence is a vertue..... or something like that.))
Fuhati grinned the scent of other cheetahs before him. It was a distinct scent, a light odor of female scent mingled it. Fuhati never lived with cheetahs in captivity, but he was caged next to one. His orange eyes looked around in the grass once more, a green mane sticking out. He rose above the grass, reveling himself.
"I am Fuhati'jumu."

[Maybe it is, but I have none XD]Zakiya's paler eyes whipped around at the voice, already on her feet by the time he'd spoken his name. She was now standing over the white form of her cub, those glittering purple gems fixed on Fuhati. It was instinct, just as breathing was. Before she even found out whether he was a threat or not, she considered him one, and her body moved accordingly. But she was a kind thing, soft of heart for the most part, but she could be just as hard and deadly as any other if her boys were threatened. "I am Zakiya," she says in reply, softening her immediate reaction to his presence with a pleasant smile. "This is Akia," she continues, motioning the white youngster with a glance downwards. "Are you part of the coalition?" She'd met one member of it, and knew they were in this area, but so far no others had crossed her path. Korou told stories of meeting them, however. Akia peered up through his mother's legs. He'd never seen another adult cheetah, besides his mother. Would he be that big one day? He liked the thought of being bigger. He didn't like being smaller than Korou and Tama.

"...coalition?" He watched her; his body relaxed, not showing aggression or fear. He seemed to submiss a bit, showing that he meant no harm. Fuhati didn't want to fight now, the drugs of the humans were still wearing off. "I am... from a human cage." Fuhati sat, his tail wagging as he looked at Akia, a slight grin and then he looked back at Zakiya.
(Edit: As I just read, your computer is broke, and I'm in the hospital. Twas fated we meet. XD Good thing your computer broke down now, you'd be waiting for me! And I wouldn't stand for that. ~)

[I miiiissss yoooouuu toooooo XD]"The coalition is a group of cheetahs that live nearby, sharing sleeping space, company, and most likely food." She shifted slightly, releasing her son from the safety but also confinement of her long legs, watching Fuhati placidly, though with an air about her that suggests she's ready to react at a second's notice, should it be necessary. "You were kept by humans? You poor thing. If you don't mind me asking, how long were you a captive?" She'd never met one who'd been imprisoned by the humans, so she was naturally curious. But she was also considerate of the feelings of others, so if he didn't wish to talk about it, she wouldn't press the matter. Now that he's free to move once again, begins a surreptitious creep towards Fuhati. He's powerfully curious, as most cubs are, and blissfully unaware of potential threats. His sneaky slink forward was by far not slinky enough, however, because Kiya hooks a paw around him before he's taken three steps, pulling him back. He lets out a totally non-intimidating cub growl in displeasure, sitting where he's dropped, glring sullenly at his mother's paws. Mum's never let you have any fun!

Fuhati smiled the idea of a coalition sounding quite nice. His ears twitched and he looked at her, the mentioning of humans not bothering him a bit. "Since my birth." He gave a quick grin, his head lowering to the ground as he looked at Akia. "Your quite curious." Fuhati's tail flickered, his ears perking up.
"You must teach me of these things. Of Africa." He stood, spinning around himself before sitting down again in excitment.

A slight smile quirks on her muzzle as she hears 'must', finding the choice of words amusing. But even if it sounded like he was making a demand of her, which some might consider rude, she knew she would help him in whatever way she could. Although theoretically he was perfectly old enough to look after himself, for many reasons he was as helpless as a cub out here. Did he know how to hunt? Did he know... anything at all about living wild and free? Soft heart that she is, she already knows she'll teach him all she can of all that he needs to know. And hearing of his long captivity just sealed the deal, so to speak.
She props a paw absently on her little cub's back to prevent his moving forward again when he was spoken to, dropping her gaze to him and turning her smile into an affectionate, indulgent one as he growls softly again. "I'll help you," she says softly as she pulls her lavender eyes up to meet Fuhati's once more. "I'll teach you what you need to know. But you must tell me what you wish to learn. We can start from there."

His eyes lit up as she spoke words of promising. He was going to be taught how to live as he was suppose to. And when her lilac eyes met his it seemed to be like no one was there, and they could take over the land. His gazed dropped to the ground, the brown sand beneath his feet causing a slight fear in his heart. "I want to learn... how to hunt. It amused me when I first came, watching the lions hunt. The males do nothing." Her looked at her, his brow furrowing in anger. "When I learn to hunt, you may relax, and I will catch the prey."

She looked a bit confused when he couldn't meet her gaze, not sure why such a thing would occur, but put the thought out of her mind as he said those last words, and surprise crossed her face instead. "Oh, that's not necessary! It's a lovely thing to offer, but strictly unnecessary. I hunt well, and I enjoy it. Even when I was with cub, I hunted. Such is the life of the free cheetah. We provide for ourselves and cubs, and hunt in any condition, no matter what."
She removes her paw from her pale-coated son, rolling her shoulders. "Are you hungry, Fuhatii? I can demonstrate technique, or I can make a kill for you. It is your choice." Little Aki perked up, lime green eyes glinting in the sunlight as he peered up at his darker mother. "A hunt? Can I help, mama?" he asks, practically bouncing with excitement at potentially getting to hunt with his mother. She smiled down at him, leaning to nuzzle him lightly. "No, my love, but you can watch. And learn. And when you're bigger," she continues in a louder voice, cutting him off before he speaks, "you can hunt with me. But until then, you watch only." She laughs once more at his sulky but accepting look.

Fuhati grinned his eyes raising to meet the horizion. "Freedom." Whispering between his teeth, his golden tipped paws played with a lump of grass of the ground. "I'd like to see you hunt." Fuhati glanced at Akia before looking at his mother.
"Well, I am very hungry." His orange eyes attatched to her's. "I'd like to see your technique too." Fuhati gave a small nod, and he looked down at Akia. A grin crawled across his face.

[You changed the title. XD]She nodded, crouching to allow her son tohop onto her back. Then, she began walking. "There's a herd of gazelle just the other side of that small hill," she says over her shoulder, gesturing with her head the way she had come. "I'll hunt there."
She starts up the hill at her typical meandering, slow pace, her tail flicking behind her, her dark frame slinking fluidly through the long grass. But instead of climbing to the top, a quarter of the way up, she turned to the side, walking around the side of the mound.
