I was just wondering what people thought about this movie. If you think that it's a good portrayal about "The Craft" itself, or just another movie that gives people another opinion to us as freaks.
If you thought that the movie was just about the four girls and not about "The Craft" and not displaying anything about Wicca at all?
The movie did show the basic elements that each girl had:
Sarah-Earth
Bonnie-Air
Nancy-Fire
Rochelle-Water
Each element adds to each girls' personality.
I don't know, but I personally liked the movie itself, but I think that it didnt show the real thing behind Wicca.
What do you think, and please don't flame me, it's just a thought that I've been having.

that movie is really bad, not accting wise but it get pagans, and the like a lot of unwanted attention and it seams to make it seam like every magic useing person out there is like that, so i dont like it

I saw the movie I thought it was ok but it can be disrepectful to those involved with these toypes of religions.

I believe there's a multimedia post for talk about movies and such. Just for future reference.
But to answer the questions concerning the movie. I like the movie. It's entertaining. But I wouldn't use it as a reference for the behaviour and practices of those who are Wiccan/pagan/etc... Unless it's truly nonfictional, you shouldn't use any movie in that manner.

But to answer the questions concerning the movie. I like the movie. It's entertaining. But I wouldn't use it as a reference for the behaviour and practices of those who are Wiccan/pagan/etc... Unless it's truly nonfictional, you shouldn't use any movie in that manner. I didnt see one, I looked. But I only looked in the Got Goth Guild, because I wanted it to be here because most that I wanted to answer I wanted to be Goth to see what they think because most people disrespect goths and wiccans and paegans from this movie and I wanted to see what they said, sonce most of the would probably be here.

I think that movie did start the Wiccan fad and to me it's offensive. If you don't take the movie seriously, it's entertaining. I enjoyed it. My problem is with those who saw the movie and believed it to be fact. Wicca gets enough bad press as it is and there are enough dumb people out there who make stupid comments without knowing anything about the religion. I have actually had someone seriously ask me if I could make them fly. They were dead serious.. People get ideas like that because of movies such as The Craft. I have no problem with the movie. My problem lies with those who can't distinguish fact from reality.
