Just so we're clear right off the bat, I'm not referring to weapons on Gaia.
I'm willing to bet I'm the only person who visits Swords Online regularly and drools over the variety of sharp and pointy implements of stabbity death there. (Although only a few are for actual use, most are just display sadly). Maybe I'm just crazy or something but I love swords. Specifically I love the Japanese katana because it looks so damn sexy. Once I get a job and some money back in my account, I intend to start a collection of swords (now that I can legally purchase them). I enjoy guns as well but with swords there's less of a chance of someone blowing thier head off for thinking it wasn't loaded. And it's kind of hard to accidentally slice your limbs off with a sword unless you're being a dumbass while weilding it.
On the guns front though, I've always been a fan of revolvers. I love the models that are nickel plated and have long barrels. For some reason I've always found long barrels on revolvers to be badass.

Ah yes, "Swords Online". I used to go to that site a lot, but recently... I haven't really. It's mainly due to the friggin' ammount of bookmarks I have on here... Which tells me that I need to re-organise them a little bit.

Aaanyway, I'm not entirely fond of weapons. I've seen first hand what damage some weapons can do, particulary bombs. (and I have the scars to proove it. ) That said, I like designs of various types of weapons, being particularly fond of neo-classical design variations of swords, crossbows, glaives... along with non-contemporary weapon designs, somewhat like in Shaman King (Using a snowboard as a weapon? How unique!).

As for weapons in games and animes... Hmm... this question is a little tougher. I'm rather fond of the "Casters" from Outlaw Star, particularly the one wielded by the elder MacDougal brother. Bloody awesome design.
Along with this, one of my favourite designs in a game is the "Twin Lance" varient of Squall's gunblade in Final Fantasy VIII. Also the final one, but I'm not exactly sure on the colour. sweatdrop

Let's see... What else... Well, not really aweapon, but a good fighting technique can be seen in "Sexy Commando Gaiden Sugoiyo"... Of course it's really just a way of distracting the opponent... Watch it to see what I mean. You'll not regret it. xd

Next, Tsukasa and Skeith's wands from the .hack// series appeal greatly to me, particularly Skeith's. It's like, a crucifix, but shaped like a Q... So it'd be a Q-cifix. ninja And let's not forget, he does actually crucify people on it. With electricity.

Aaaand, that's all I can think of at the moment, apart from the dulled sword set my brother bought when he was over in Japan. One word: heavy. Well... the big one is. ninja
