The days slowly went by for the young pridelander as he was far from home. Bright green eyes scanned the vast grasslands with a flutter of happiness. Siltim had all this to go and explore! His tail flicked from side to side as he was lying on the ground. An ear flicked back as he wondered about his parents and other siblings. His mother wouldn't be too mad at him, would she? It's not like they weren't unsupervised in the first place. They had Yaten watching over them! Eyes shifted to the black cheetah as a playful grin grew on his maw, Yaten was their friend now...not their kidnapper. Creeping over towards the black cheetah, Siltim pounced on the unspecting tail, "Gotcha!"
Haunches lowered as Yaten sat down some distance away from the cubs. He didn't want to be an overpowering figure, like a parent would be, he wanted them to have fun and explore while he looked out for danger. Brown eyes glanced here and there before he realized something. It was quiet...too quiet. And no sooner had this thought passed through his mind did the attack on his tail register as another one of Siltim's games. Shaking his head, he pawed at the tiny cub, "Siltim!"

Strolling along, the young cub stopped to look at a flower. Tilting her head she blinked a couple of times and watched the plant. Never once in her life, well she had only been born about a month ago but anyways, had she seen such a beautiful plant. The petals were tipped a crimson as the inner color was a pallid light. With a light grin she blinked and looked around. The others. Turning she raced to her heel and hurried after the two shadows that crept away in the distance. They were nottoo far ahead, but just a bit to make her nervous. "GUUUUUUUYS!" She screeched and tripped over a rock, tumbling foward and bumbed into the two. With a light snarl she looked up and rubbed her head with her paw. "Sorry about that."

A tiny laugh escaped Siltim as he caught the cheetah off-guard. His tail flicked from side to side, showing off his happiness. But, no sooner had he done that when his sister came crashing into them. He shook his head, stood up and puffed out his chest to make himself look bigger. Always conscious that he was the last born, and thus, slightly smaller than the rest of his siblings. "Can't walk now, can you 'Isah!" He teased her before pouncing on her.
Feeling the slight bump, Yaten knew that the other cub had made her appearance. The corners of his maw slightly turned up as he watched the two siblings play. Little balls of energy, that's what they were. His dark tail flicked before he spoke, "Nice of you to drop in, Ma'isah," He paused, "What's the hurry for?"

Looking at the two, she puckered her cheeks and blew out, giving her an angry look. But then it quickly faded with a smile, that warm loving smile. Ma'isah laughed as she heard her new nickname from Siltim, her brother. With a small smile she felt him pounce on her and she let a mini growl escape hr throat. "No I can't walk, I can sure run like the wind though!" Her voice gave a laugh to the easing as she rolled around trying to fight Siltim off. Listening to Yaten she gave a flicker of a serious expression. "I found a flower. It was white and tipped with a dark red, I forget what color it is called. Cri-...Kryim-. Ah forget it. But it was so pretty, and then I realized you guys were already a long ways away, so I ran." She let out a small laugh and looked at her brother. Yaten and Siltim, her definate partners in crime.

Pawing and batting his paws at Ma'isah, Siltim listened to her before he backed up against Yaten's front paw. Looking up at the black cheetah sheepishly, he grinned. "Hi Yaten!" Turning back to his sister, he stuck out his tongue and rolled his eyes, "Only a girl would be interested in a flower!" While he teased, the words he spoke weren't true since he was amused by the smallest things as well. Bouncing off away from the two, he cried, "Come on! I want to go and explore some more!"
Once again, a bump was felt as Yaten glanced down at the little cub in front of him. An ear flicked to Ma'isah as she spoke of a flower. "Crimson..and yes, there are plenty of flowers in the grasslands, Ma'isah. Just be careful, some of them can have thorns that will cut you." A slight nod of his head to the mint cub before he stood up and walked after the bouncing green fluff-ball ahead of him. "We're coming, Siltim, relax!" But, even he couldn't help but chuckle at the two cub's enthusiam.

Glancing to her brother, she gave him a sour sneer and puffed out her cheeks. Not very flattering. Letting a bunch of giggles explode from her, she danced her head back and forth again and again. Yaten was their very close friend, she remembered when they first met him. They thought he was a discomfigured lion. Feeling her brother get off, she looked at him with glee. "Only girls? Truts me, your not so Super Boy as you think. You love all the small things as well." Her eyes twinkled emerald as she nudged Yaten and bounce. "Explorers! Time to set out across new lands." Giggles burst out of her as Ma'isah flicked her dark tail at her brother.

Pretending to be slightly hurt at her words, Siltim put on a pout, "That hurt my feelings, 'Isah! I never thought I was Super Boy, but now I'll never think I'm good at all!" Lime green eyes looked forward before he felt a rumbling on the ground. Stopping short, he looked back at Yaten and his sister with a questioning gaze, "Do you feel that?"
Walking swiftly after the two cubs, Yaten could keep up with them at a brisk walk since he was larger than the two. Brown eyes glanced here and there before the slightest stur of the wind brought out his hunter instincts. Eyes darted to the left and to the right before he heard Siltim's question that confirmed his hunch. There was a stampede nearby, and that couldn't be good for the cubs if they got trampled on...for he wouldn't want to face the wrath of two angry parents! "This doesn't seem good Siltim, it feels like a stampede to me. A stampede is when a large group of animals are all running together and don't stop for anything." He lowered his head to the ground and listened. It was getting closer, or so it sounded like to him. His head raised as he looked around for a place to hide.

With a jolt, Ma'isah blinked ignoring his words of being hurt. The rumble. It came from the ground, was the ground shaking?! Lifting her head she looked to Yaten and to her brother. Oh no, her parents would be furious if something happened to them. More importantly, Siltim due to her mama's overprotectiveness of him. Ma'isah gulped and listened as Yaten spoke. A place to hide. Her mind fluttered with images of where they had been, all around them was high walls incaving them from escape. Over in a small area, Ma'isah saw a gap where they could feet. Nudging at Yaten she said in a frantic voice, "Yaten! What about there?"

A stampede!? That sounded both awesome and cool to Siltim! Lime green eyes twinkled at the thought of running off with a bunch of running animals other than lions. He made his way closer towards his sister and the cheetah before spotting a cloud in the distance...it looked slightly brown. Motioning to it, "Look over there!"
An ear flicked towards Ma'isah as Yaten listened to the female. He turned his head and spotted what she was talking about, that might actually work! He turned and made his way over towards the inclosure of the rocks around the hill, "Come on Ma'isah and Siltim. This should protect us from the stampede and once they are gone we can go out again to explore." Getting closer to the enclosure, he went inside and sat down looking out towards the grasslands. The cloud of dust Siltim pointed out meant that they were getting closer. "It's getting closer, so stay here."

The stampede. The word stuck in her mind and twinged at her insides. Yes it would be intresting to witness, but how could Siltim be so excited! Oh yes, maybe his little extra rebellion built a little more sense of excitement at anythign dangerous. At that moment, poor Ma'isah was the opposite. She was nervouse about her brother and Yaten's saftey, not her own. Eyes danced around the two as she heard Yaten speak. "Yaten, aren't you gonna' get in too?" She sounded nervous and a little demanding. She didn't want him to get hurt.

Lime green eyes looked at his sister as the ground began to rumble loud and more violent then before. And alas! Siltim could just barely make out the wildebeasts in the distance. He walked over and was next to his sister. Sitting down, he was antsy and couldn't stay in one place. He then paced from side to side as he watched the beasts get closer and closer. "Yaten, what are they?"
Brown eyes landed on Ma'isah, as Yaten smiled to the little mint cub. "I am going to get in, I wanted to make sure the two of you were in here first." The cheetah got up from the entrance and walked in to where the two cubs were. The wildebeasts were getting closer and he could see them in the distance. At Siltim's question, "Those animals, they're wildebeasts. In a herd, they are hard to catch, but alone, a few female lionesses could take one down easily. Cheetahs like me, we like to go for the antelope before they're smaller." But, he noticed Siltim's anxious behavior and raised an eyebrow, "Siltim, are you alright?" There was something in his expression that made the cheetah worry.

Eyeing her brother, the emerald eyes of the cub rolled as if searching for the heavens. He was so creepy sometimes. Looking to Yaten she smiled as she saw him enter, it made Ma'isah nervous to think he might have stayed outside in the dangerous area. The rumbles grew louder as her head looked up, ears pointed trying to hear the distant sounds. "Wildbeasts." She stated, hoping to plug the word into her memory. Ah, she remembered hearing that only the lionesses hunted, not the males. Instead they stood guard and protected the pride as though they said. This made Ma'isah smile. Then it disappeared as she looked to her brother, he was a bit too angsty.

The little green cub was only half listening at this point as his lime green eyes landed on the first wildbeast that came into view. They were so large! And with horns and hoofs that pounded the earth with each step. Siltim slowly took a few steps towards the entrance and stopped. He wanted a better view...he wanted to go and run with the wildbeasts! Why did he always have to listen to everyone trying to protect him. He was his own self, and his sister was starting to sound like his mother now. Without a second thought, the little green cub ran out of the cave and right into the large, stampeding herd. Hooves were everywhere, one even stepped on his tail and man, did that hurt! The adrenaline rushed through his veins as he weaved through the large wildbeasts, running with them!
The ebony's cheetah's mouth opened slightly to say something, but with the dash of Siltim, all words were lost. The cub just ran right into the stampede, what was he thinking?! Getting up in an instant, Yaten turned to stare at Ma'isah, "Stay right here and do not move. You might want to help your brother, but you'll get crushed like he might. I'll go and get him, just stay here!" He dashed out of the cave and into the stampede. Darting here and there, the cheetah thanked the heavens that he was small and lithe, unlike the wildbeasts. Clouds of dust was everywhere, blocking his vision as he searched for a little green cub. "SILTIM!" He cried, hoping to get the cub's attention, "SILTIM!"

Seeing her brother dash out into the raging twists of fate of life or death, her eyes widened beyond a frightened way. Fearing he would get trampeled. "That little idiot!" She yelled and dedged to the entrance. No where in sight did she see him. Her brother. Looking over to Yaten dashign off her stomach growled. No way was she going to sit here being the obediant one with thoughts of her brother's blood stained to the ground. Was he crazy? Leaping out in the stampede she felt her heart race. Her steps worked faster as she ran and dodged. One of the beasts stepped on her foot and she growled lightly before continueing to race in a battle of life and death. Oh how when she saw her brother she was going to kill him. This would never leave the cave.

The little green cub was having the time of her life! Siltim weaved through the wildbeast, getting the hang of it before a hoof landed right in front of him and he ran right into it. The impact knocked him out cold as he lied on the ground in the middle of the stampede, deaf to all of Yaten's calls.
Brown eyes searched frantically for Siltim but to no avail. Once, Yaten thought he spotted another green cub in the stampede, but he shook his head. Ma'isah would have listened to him, wouldn't she? The stampede was like thunder against his ears and he was deaf to everything but it. While he turned around and ran a different way, there was the green body again! Hope swelled inside of him as he dashed after it and swiped it up with his mouth, only to find out that it was Ma'isah and not Siltim! What was she doing out here?! A growl deep within his throat sounded to let Ma'isah know that she was in trouble, just as her brother would be when she found him. With the cub in his mouth, he weaved through the wildbeasts more carefully to search for Siltim.
