The Seron'iss are characters in a story, in which we are the authors. This story takes place in a dreamworld or one that can only be connected by the 'real' world by dreams. There are two main races in this world, the Sark'aan and the Tyran'iya. The Sark'aan are a draconic race that is tribal in nature and is close to the earth and it's denizens. The Tyran'iya however are a cultured phoenix-type race that changes the earth to suit their needs.

The dreamers (gaians) wake up one day to find a necklace which connects them to a character. This character has to find it's thread (story line) in the grand plot. I'm still working on story and possibly plot lines but it will be interesting to see what comes of it. Basically customs (auctioned) are main characters while regulars (flatsale) are minor characters. A minor character can become a major one if they RP a lot.

So far, this is a work in progress...

The difference between flatsale and auction: Auctions are Major characters, RP required, custom and will come complete with a journal. Flatsold necklaces are connected to minor characters but these characters if RP'd a lot can gain Major character status (journal is optional). Only Major characters can reach the Acient stage. All others will end at their young adult stage. Young adults can breed but they have join with their lifemate and will only ever have one child. Acients still join for life but they have the power to dedicate two to three necklaces in their lifespan.

I think we need to completely rewrite this part, as most of this stuff is explained later or can be explained in the FAQ

Info on the World of Seron

Once upon a time... *need to add story*

The Sar'kaan

Decendants of the dragons, the Sar'kaan (or dragon-kin) are close to nature and wise beyond their years. They are often druids and shamans or warriors and always shy away from dealing with the realms of the dead. Occassionally a warlock crops up but they are often shunned and live on the outskirts of the tribes. Nomadic in nature and prone to wanderings, the Sar'kaan form loose 'packs' among their tribe that are often connected by blood. The live primarily in the Grand Desert and during the Sumar'iss (the great storm) they migrate underground to the Ner'an Caves.

The Tyran'iya

Holding alegance to the Phoenix, this arrogant race conform the world to match their needs. Livng primarily in the forests and lowlands around the Grand Desert they force the trees to grow to form their houses and temples. Mages and Knights are their primary choice of class with Priest a close third. They scorn witches who commune with the the earth to get their powers deeming them weak but a few will live in the banished realms. The Tyran'iya pride them selves on being civilized and they have a rather democratic structure with many councils.

The Lun'iss

Not much is known about the Lun'iss except they keep to themselves in the mountinous regions of Seron. Maybe in the future this will change...

Rules and responsibilities:
1. No harassing/trolling. This means things like "Your roleplaying wrong" and extends to godmoding.
2. Do not alter/steal lineart. Should be a given but it happens
3. No Begging. It doesn't look good on you and often means it is harder to get one.
4. Respect visitors and regulars alike. Again, should be a given but sometimes...
5. Try to keep personal disputes out of thread. If you have a problem with some one in the thread please PM Darcy
6. No purchasing pets until debts are paid off. This is in other shops too, I have a rather extensive reach and I can find out if you owe money.
7. Do not PM Cyrwrynn. She is just the colourist (ok so a little more than that) and has her own things on Gaia to take care of. I will always answer PM's or you can post your question in the thread.

The Stages

Pendant - The dreamer finds a pendant that starts to glow after a few days of odd dreams of a distant world. When it cracks, that night the distant world get's closer and a person starts to reveal it'self.

Child - The strength of the dreamer has managed to peer through the dreams to see this new world with new eyes. The eyes of a child who is about to embark on his/her journey down the Path of T'sumera. Though the dreamer may not have full control of the child they find that they can help guide their thoughts.

Young Adult - Fully grown and ready to either settle down or join the greater paths, your Seron'iss may be aware of a guardian angel that helps guide their footsteps. Does this please them or do they prefer to walk their own path? Will they continue down the Spirit Paths towards the final goal or are they happy to leave let well alone?

Acient - (Heavy RP only) This is the greatest and final stage a child of Seron'iss can go. They become one with their ancestral spirits and turn into either a dragon (Sark'aan) or phoenix (Tyran'iya) More secrets and powers will be revealed if or when a Seron'iss come close.

Frequently Asked Questions
More will be added as needed...

1. Is there a limit on the number of Characters I can own? You can only own 1 Major character but up to 3 minor characters.
2. Can my Character Die? Yes and no. If you plan for it's death and the story line calls for it, death can happen. It will be rare that any characters die in the storyline though.
3. Can they breed? Yes but roleplaying will be required to do so. These are creatures with thought and feelings so it takes time to bond with their partner.
4. How many kids can they have? At the moment it is one child per adult, so a family can have up to two kids. In the future this many change however...
5. Can I sell or trade my Character? There is no trading of any Major character. For Minor characters there is a possibility but we would like to discourage that.
6. Can I sell or trade the babies? If you do not want to keep the children from your partnership, or you have too many characters already, you may give them back to the shop so we can find homes for them.

The Guild of Ran'toku

*need to add info about questing guild for 'leveling'*

The Conflict

As the Sark'aan have been living in the Grand Desert for years, never wandering out of their barren homelands, they have been found to be in conflict with the Tyran'iya. With different wings clashing, the two species have had some skirmishes along the fringe lands, causing a peace that never really existed, to crumble under the weight of unannounced pressure. With the pushing of the Tyran'iya, the Sark'aan have been in danger of losing some key spiritual places within the fringe lands, and that has been when they have mainly begun to fight back.

At hand to the republican leaders of the Tyran'iya, they have descended upon the Sark'aan, pushing and burning them out of the way. With two different forces of magic combining, the land on which they fight as been seen as a strange and twisted place. The direct forces of nature versus the nether have torn holes within the delicate magic weaving of the world, leaving the lands scarred with conflict in more ways that one.

With the Sark'aan using their druidic and shamanistic powers against the mages and priests, the land warriors of the Sark'aan versus the knights of the Tyran'iya have begun to be waged as well. Steel clashing with steel, the battle has begun to rage on multiple fronts, the Sark'aan determined not to let these new invaders to steal their lands. The Tyran'iya, pushed to battle against them, have found that the Sark'aan are surprisingly less of a threat than the unknown beasts, making them turn their attention towards their desert borders as a more viable option. Through the republican council of the cities that remain in the trees, it has been decided that the Tyran'iya were to continue with minor skirmishes for the meantime, as the majority of their forces have been concentrated against the mountainous regions.

*info that needs to be re-written and distributed to the correct threads*

I will try and find a map that I had drawn but mainly the geography that is important is the Grand desert that bordered on two sides with forests (the Tyr-lands) and one the Mt's owned by the Lun'iss and other monsters and to the fourth there is a great delta and the ocean. The Mt's ring around to cut off most of the forests from the other part of the continent and the northern areas is where the enemy is approaching.

The Tyran'iya isn't a contry per-se, they just follow a more sediteraty lifestyle. Both the Dragon spirit and Phoenix spirits are leaving the lands, the Sark'aan are blaming it on the Tyran'iya first comming into their desert, the Tyr blaming it on the changing of the times.

The Major/Minor characters were just the names I gave RP-required vs non RP-required 'pets' Minor characters can jump in and out of the plot line while the major characters have to be present for most of the line development. I'm actually not too fond of RP required pets so I'd actually prefer to kick it off the options (my sister wanted that)

The story is evolving, most of the stuff in the thread is just background stuff. The true story (the one I was writing) centered around a pair of twins who were born of a Tyr and a Sar and who were seperated at birth and were destined to bring the two groups together (and fight the larger evil across the Mt's) I don't think I'll be pulling those two into the thread though *noddles*

The two main characters of my story will probably not show up in the Gaian storyline. The true story and the Gaian shop will be different. It is the background of the world that is the same (like making a shop based on Pern while not actually including cannon characters)

The Tyr are run by a council of men (9 men to be exact.) They can only change the council members though death or choosing to follow the acient's path and become a true adult ('cause then they become advisors to the council) The men can be NPC if they are needed (it is doubtful the characters will come in contact with them unless it's a major RP point) It's the same as Tumer'al, she will not be seen often if ever unless it's a really big event (and it's have to be during a Sumar'iss when they are in the Ner'an Caves *is still deciding whether that will occur or not*) The main differance that matters between the Council and Tumer'al is that all Sark'aan follow Tumer'al while only the small area that the shop will focus on follow that specific Council.

Note: this is only one group of Tyran'iya. There are more in the forests and plains ect. but the 'shop' only focuses on one area near the border between the forest and the desert. It's the same with the Sark'aan, there are more groups but the Sar in the shop will origionate from about the same area.
