Welcome to my European Phantom trip log!
I am leaving for Paris today. (I'm practically going home!) While there, one of the sites I will visit is the Opéra Garnier, the Paris Opera House. Then I will go to London and on the 26th I'm seeing Phantom at Her Majesty's. This is where I'll tell everyone about the phantastic things I've done... assuming that our Paris wi-fi connection is still there. If not, well, I'll tell you when I get back to the US.
Wish me bon voyage!
Message to mods: I'm pretty sure I've seen people do this kind of thing before. My trip ends June 29th and I'll probably need time to message people after that. You can close this thread after the end of June.

Yes pictures!! *greedy for somebodies elses fun* and have a safe trip heart
My friend actually went to Tokyo Japan for a few weeks (I think he's coming back the fifteenth) and I told him, since you can buy almost anything in vending machines there, to bring me back something weird from a vending machine. He told me he'd buy me a naughty pair of underwear heart
On that note...I want phantom underwear O.o

So...after many tedious hours of packing, driving, being stuck in airports, delayed flights, air travel, discomfort, crowded bus rides, confusing terminals, lugging baggage around, long lines, RER ticket confusion, long RER rides, moving stuff around, unpacking, errands, and of course a pain au chocolat, I'm finally installed in our Paris appartment again!
Phantom events: 1. I stuffed my Black Ribbon Rose into my suitcase at the last second. I also packed my Phantom CDs and DVDs and my custom-made Phantom shirt (with me and Emma) to wear on the 26th. 2. There were private screens on the plane. I played two games of Bejeweled and lost in the second level. After a while I unplugged my earphones and plugged them back into my CD player to listen to Phantom while playing, and I lasted past level five! The spirit of Erik was with me. <3 And lastly... 3. After customs, there was a sign that said "Attention: Entrée interdite après cette porte." (or something like that) And the English translation was "No return beyond this point." I was like "*gasp!* It's the Point of No Return!"
PS: I won't be able to give you pictures until after this weekend, because my dad has the camera. But I have the card reader so when we do take some pictures I'll be able to upload them right away.

Yay for winning games while listening to PotO!
And we can wait for the pictures. 3nodding Well, I can't, but I have duct tape to amuse myself with. XD
And I know the nonsense of packing, getting there, and then unpacking. It leaves you just wanting to fall over on the bed for a six hour nap. Though, you went on plane before the bus and car, huh? I've never been on a plane. Too scared. XD But driving for several days at once can tire you out--or even just several hours.

Oh, on a slightly unrelated note...I'm wearing a yarn rose pin every day that has special significance to the Phantom trip log...if that makes any sense at all. Good night!

Oh? o.o Well, that just shows I'm a moron. XD
Ooh, yarn rose! I had a dream last night that involved a rose made of blood-red crystals from an underground cave. Was so cool.

Ooh! I just remembered about my room! (well, actually not remembered, I just slept in it) After we took our Christmas tree down the December before last, we put the lights (they were red) up all over the top of my room... so now I'm staring up into a ceiling of red light... so cool! <3 And also, the last people who stayed in this apartment put a stereo in my room. I played with it a little and found out its alarm clock qualities... I can wake up to Phantom! <3
And then yesterday, I asked my mom if we could go to the Musée d'Orsay, and she said yes! I didn't tell her the real reason I wanted to go there: There is a "cross section" model of the Opéra Garnier so we can see the FULL INTERIOR (if only Erik had one of these...) and also a model of the whole Place de l'Opéra. I'll get lotsa pictures!
And...FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!!!!!! DAY 10
PAoM: Pretty good. The only problem is "étudie" should be "étudier le" and one would usually use ne instead of n' before doit. Sorry, I'm a correction freak. *sigh*

MY. FEET. HURT. ...A LOT. *ahem* But I'm sure I'll be over it within a week minute.
We visited the Tour Montparnasse today. It's a very tall office building with an observatory at the top. I found the general area that my apartment and my school were in. More importantly, I found the Opera House! Yay! Then I watched a tourist movie accompanied by annoying elevator music... except for the segment showing the Opera, which was accompanied by, well, opera! It sounded sort of phantomy too... *grins evilly*
Also, we went to the Montparnasse Cemetery. And... Garnier himself was there. Not only was he listed on the gravestone as the architect of the Opera House (<3), he also was listed as the Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor. He must have been a great man!
And then...well...I had a piece of bread. That's it. ...ding.
PS: Like my new outfit?

Ah, bread. Exciting XD
Did you take a picture of the Point of No Return sign? I wanna see
I'm trying to convince my mom that we should take a trip to either Paris (Opera House) or to London (Her Majesty's Theatre). She keeps saying no. I'm still wokring on it ninja

Wow, it sounds like you're having a great time. I wish we could have stayed in Paris for more than a day when we went. We only got to see the tourist-y things. Hope you put pictures soon.
