Tomoyo was reluctant for a long time to leave the shade of the tree that had come to be home, but she wanted to see where the others were.
"Sawia? Kili? Kiamba?"
Were either of her children, or her mate about? Hm...
She'd also noticed one of the coalition's other females seemed to be heavy with cubs, as of late. She meant to have a talk with her, just because she'd not had a chance to formally meet her or many of the others yet. She felt that she should socialize more, and get to know them, and felt particularly drawn towards a fellow female and soon to be mother. It must have been a girl thing, not that Tomoyo cared what the reason may be.
So there she stood at the base of the tree, tail thrashing gently behind her while her head swiveled one way, then the other, bracelets jangling with any movement of her right forepaw.

She heard Kiamba stirr and found her direction in that moment.
Tomoyo came upon Kiamba with a purr, affectionately brushing her cheek against his and stepping lithely over his neatly-curled form so that she could face him properly. Her eyes did one more look over the coalition lands, not worried because she knew there were many guards within their group, and she didn't scent, or hear any sign of trouble. No visual sights either. No, Tomoyo was not a worrier.
"Did you sleep well?" She asked, smiling softly.

Tomoyo seemed amused by his confession, thinking that he sounded like she had after delivering the girls, but she had the good sense not to say so, it seemed.
Instead, she chuckled, then answered his question.
"The girls, I drifted off for a bit of a nap myself, and I'm not quite certain if they've run off..."
She peeled her eyes away from his handsome form to peer about the surrounding area again, eyes narrowed playfully. She wouldn't be surprised if they were waiting to pounce their parents right then. She certainly wouldn't put it past Sawia at all.

"Calm down..." She purred, amused. "Home expands for quite a ways, so I doubt if they're lost." She smiled simply as she watched her mate rise, "There are quite a few border patrols to keep an eye out, besides."

Kilindi was blissfully unaware of any worry her absence might be cuasing her father. The growing cub had wandered away from her home tree, tailing a fat little grasshopper. She'd hopped along behind it, pouncing through the grass with her tail waving jauntily behind her.
But as with all cubs, Kili had eventually lost interest in the hoppy insect and finally left it alone. Now she was on her way back to the tree, still hopping in a childish imitation of the grasshopper.

Kiamba sucked in a dry breath, and exhaled it out in a quick snort. It was hot and stiff, and he lowered his head against it. If only he had been there when they had been born. Hell. If only he’d actually known Tomoyo was still around for him– “I know, I know.” He repeated softly, and pressed his head against hers with a faint chuckle. “I’m not good with this fathering thing.” The sound of thumping caught his attention, and with a p***k of his ears, he turned his head in time to see a faint flash of blue hopping towards them. “...and it appears we’re raising a grasshopper.”
A grin crooked across his maw, and eagerly he swayed his tail.
