Doressa kindly issued me an invitation, and for lack of any reason to avoid the place, I've joined up. blaugh

I'll even be honest with you. I'm 51, chronologically at least, but I've always been a terrible procrastinator and I'm putting off stolid, sensible maturity for a few more years. Maybe when I'm 80, I'll feel completely grown up? But don't count on it. xd

I got on Gaia through a 20-something friend with whom I did on-line roleplaying. I've played D&D type tabletop for over 25 years, and found on-line chatroom gaming about 3 years ago. He was showing off wonderful pictures of his OCs, and I couldn't resist tagging along to here to try to get some artwork of my own characters. Two and half years later, I have over 400 pictures of many, many characters. I love the artists here, they're very generous with their time for a handful of pixels and they're amazingly talented, and I've certainly learned that age is not always an indication of ability! heart

I've also collected breedable pets, and I enjoy the fishing and card games as great time sinks.

I'm married (25 years this fall, to my DM ^_^) with two kids age 16 and 17-1/2. The sixteen-year-old is on Gaia, too, after I told her about it. Now she has my devil tail on permanent loan, oh well.

Professionally, I'm a high-level programmer in the health-care industry... which gives me two computers at my desk and a lot of leeway on how I use my time, so sometimes (like now) one of the many applications running is Gaia. cool
