I'll make this sweet, short, and to the point. What are good colleges out there that have good programs for graphic design?! Thanks ;o

If I possibly can, I'm thinking of applying to cd-ed. They have an introductory program to 3D design and animation. Which is exactly what I want to get into.

In the professional field and colleges graphic design and 3D-Design are two completely different things...
Supposedly College for Creative Studies(an art school in detroit) has one of the nations best graphic design courses in the nation. That's where I'm applying to this year.

I chose my college based on location, not major. So I can't really help you out there.

Good design programs (my own thoughts - I don't mean to exclude anybody, just my opinion here):
East Coast: Pratt Parsons School of Visual Arts Cooper Union RISD SCAD (debatable) Carnegie Mellon
Midwest: Cranbrook School at the Art Institute of Chicago (not to be confused with Art Institute Schools elsewhere) CCS Detroit
West Coast: (I know there are more out here, I just can't think of them). Brooks UC Berkely

There are also Techincal schools that have good programs too... I'm currently going to ITT Tech for my AA in Multimedia, from there I'm going to get my Bachelors in Computer Graphic and Game Design...
There are also some internet based colleges (can't remember them off of the top of my head and don't have time to look at the moment xd ) that have some really good programs too...

Brooks UC Berkely I don't know a lot, but I've heard bad things about the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I'm studying Graphic Design here in Indiana, and one of my classmates visited there... and he thought it was so bad, he chose our small technical school over it. I think that says something. neutral Then again, that's just his opinion.

The Art Institutes. They are cheap and very good. They have about 60 of them in the united states.

It depends on where you live. If you live anywhere near Philadelphia or Lancaster, Hussian School of Art is a really prestige college for graphic design with only about 150 students so you get a lot of help. Also look into PA School of Art & Design. If you're any into photography as well, Antonelli Institute is for photography as well as graphic design.
I hope any of that helped. Anywhere outside of PA is up to you to search for, haha. xd
