Eden is a beautiful land at first glance. It is technologically advanced with large cities, highways, internet, and everything else. Its people tend to be peaceful for the most part and its neighbors are much weaker than it is - leaving it safe from invasions. Even with the advanced society, mythological creatures roam the land as they always have, as well as magic.
The Royal Line:
The Royal Line is a family said to be descended from the Gods, although the truth of this is unknown. What is known, however, is that they have a strange power over their people, dead and alive - that they can easily control masses of people to do their bidding. The Royal Line was once peaceful but as it began to spread and grow, small trifles grew into states of war. Finally, the Crown Prince - a boy named Tsubaki - lead a great number of the Living and the Dead and killed all other members of the Royal Line. He rules now.
Magic:
There are many different types of magic. The Royal Line mainly uses Necromancy, which is magic of Death, but there are many other types. Some other agics include: Geomancy (Earth), Chryomancy (Ice), Pyromancy (Fire), Homeomancy (Healing), and Chronomancy (Time) but they are not limmited to these.
Mythological Creatures and Pacts:
There are many of these and many different types (dragon, nymph, sphinx, you name it, they have it - apart from angels or demons or anything like that). These creatures have access to a realm limmitless powers, life, anything, but they themselves cannot use it. The only way to access that realm is to make a pact with a human and trade something from that person (which is given the the creature) in return for the creature giving the human something from that realm. One may trade fabulous jewels and riches, but these things will buy a person very little (say add one or two years to your life). The Pacts that will bargain most from the creatures are things with meaning - as in part of one's life, your heart, your luck, your sight, etc.. For these, one may receive power, save lives, add to one's own lives or any of the uncountable proffits of that realm. However, one may not trade anything that does not belong that that person. This means one may not trade another person or something belonging to someone else, unless they are a member of the Royal Line which almost literally owns the people in its power, due to the magic in their blood.
Geography:
Eden is very large and is an archipelago. There are a total of thirteen islands, including the main one (called Eden Island). The other islands are mostly unihabbited, apart from small towns with nothing much to offer. The outer rim of the main island is surrounded by mountains. The feet the the moutains is tropical, but the heights are extremely cold and are snowy all year long. Eden Island is mainly sweeping green plains and hills and there are many major cities inside, as well as smaller ones and towns.

Personality: Ryuho is dark and mysterious. He participates in rituals to surpress his darker side, but he is sadistic. He can take lots of pain, but gives more than he gets no matter how much it is. Ryuho likes to play games and can be very dangerous at times if you rub him the wrong way, but he usuall like to keep to himself and doesn't get involved with other people unless needed.

Pacts:*(I hope I'm allowed to do that) Ryuho traded his body to a dragon so that he could have whatever power he should need. The dragon inhabits his body and part of his rituals is to help supress the dragn that gave him his unlimited power.

Personality: He is shy around strangers, but can be very loud. He is determined, naiive and blunt. He is very inquisitive and is not easily disuaded when it is something he really cares about, although he often gives up what he wants for others.
History:* He always spent more time human than animal and his family mocked him for it. One day when he came back from the city, he found them dead. They had been hunted and killed and then skinned so the fur could be used. He's never quite trusted people after that, although he tends to be care free.
Pacts:* He has made many pacts with humans, mainly because he's not powerful enough to ask for anything big from the people, but also because he can offer things like the ability to change form and other useful, but not very powerful, tricks and powers.

Appearence: Woohoo! Let us see, let us see. He is called the Star Lover, for he seems to have shining stars that sparkle in those green eyes of his. And long red hair that looks more like a mane, all gnarled and tangled and hanging down to the arse. Thin nose, face a bit gaudy and cheeks a bit hollow, which gives him the look of a starved elf. Couple that with a boyish grin that can be creepy at times and, well, there you have it. Also, he has irregularly-long legs, to the point where watching him [try to] ride an average horse is just plain funny.

But anyway! He always wears a purple suit that he has been wearing as long as any of us can remember, so it's kinda smelly. razz But he wears the coat unbuttoned with no undershirt to leave his chest open, along with a thin, bright-red tie around his neck. And along with his suit he has a matching tophat! Absurdly tall and somewhat crooked. He can pull things out of it like Mary Poppins' bag, which he is very impressed with himself for being able to do. Me, not so much. I think he's a showoff. Also! British accent. Personality: Ohhhh jesus. He can be very laid back, but when someone gets him pissed off or excited, he will be irritating. Relies heavily on wit [such as "I know you are, but what am I?"]. He's also very familiar with people, calling them by petnames and giving them hugs and rough back-pats and snogs [also, he does the "got-your-nosey!" thing.]. But when he gets upset, he goes into blind rages and moves about killing every man/woman/child/dog in sight. He's been known to wipe whole towns off the map for bringing him the wrong drink. It's not his fault. He's just a bit touched in the head. ...Also! He does magic! biggrin Mostly silly parlor tricks, but then he unleashes cans of whoopass sometimes!
History:* He makes things up. We're not quite sure. There are claims and rumors of him being one of Robin Hood's merry men, discovering countries and seas, destroying whole villages, being the Mad Hatter of Alice's Wonderland, et cetera et cetera et cetera. He probably started all of these rumors himself. He just wanders the globe aimlessly.
Pacts:* Hrmmm. He might have tried to make friends with numerous things to get them to give in without trading anything. This probably failed many times. So no pacts for him.

He has a sense of humor! Har-har. Skinny li'ul thing. And he wears a really baggy gray tanktop half-assedly tucked into some ripped big ol' jeans. Also, never seen without a cigarette.

Personality: Pretty darn easy-going. And he has a long patience, even for Ryoho's face-touching and random screaming.
History:* Grew up with no unexpected bumps in the childhood. Now is a mechanic. Also a healerguy, because he doesn't like to get in the way of things or take sides [also, his aim would be off for any projectile spells, with the lack of an eye/depth perception! o_O]. Mostly because he doesn't care all that much. Ry drags him into a lot of battles, though. :/ This makes him exasperated.
Pacts:* He hassss... two? Prease? Can one be something silly? ._. If so, I would like one to be a little platapuss with wings, and the other can be a badass tiny nymph. I'm still not completely sure how these work, so tell me if I'm doing it wrong.

History: He made his pacts for power, after he found his little sister, beaten to death by what must have been an ogre or a creature with the strength of one. He grew up in the middle class, having luxuries but not too much.
Pacts: He made a pact for the ability to become ethereal (Move through solid objecst, levitate, invisibility... Ghost-like). What he gave up was his voice. The most noise he can make now comes from airflow.

Although he may appear calm, he is easily fooled, especially when it comes to something about bad luck or good luck. History:* He has amnesia and cannot remember anything before the time he turned ten. He can't even remember his original family because he found himself stranded on the beach when he awoke. A fisherman and his wife took him in, but he became restless easily and moved on after a couple of years.

Personality: He tends to keep to himself and is pretty oblivious, especially when he's listening to music. He has many friends, most of them close ones, but never really opens up to them. He just doesn't feel like he needs to. He lives very much in the present and often doesn't notice when he has hurt someone unnintentionally. He can get very attatched, but isn't clingy (even though he likes cuddling if it's someone he likes). But he's never gotten very close with anyone he's been with and doesn't really tend to... miss them. It's as if all he needs is himself.

Tsubaki smiled as he watched the small boy scamper enough. He was that scary, wasn't he? After all, the fact that one eye was a eery blue-white and that he had what looked like black tattoos all down one side of his body - not to mention his peircings - could be a bit intimidating. Of course, the boy had no idea of who he was or he would have been much more afraid. In fact, no one outside the Royal Line had ever seen Tsubaki for at least ten years. He was perfectly disguised. But just to make sure... He grabbed a baseball cap from the counter, paid for it, and left the small shop, pulling his long sleeves down over his arms to hide the majority of his markings. He could almost be normal now, with the cap shadowing his face and the sleeves and pant legs covering the majority of his markings, unless one of the people here recognized his markings for what they were - the marks of Pacts - rather than a bit of an obsession with tattoos.
Finally, he reached his destination - the flower shop. He came here nearly every day - the only exceptions being when he used flowers from his own garden. The people at the shop recognised him by now, but had no clue as to why he bought so many flowers. They probably thought it was for a girlfriend or soemthing.

Ryuho strolled from the back od the flower shop looking bored. He held a single black rose in his hand. He showed minor signs of fatigue and was walking loftily about ignoring the majority of his surrounding. His vest was open revealing the top of his markings. He sneered lightly as he passed some pink flowers getting aggravated with their coloring, it remind him of the ssence part of his ritual gave off. Having to do the rituals monthly left him inside most of the time. He would do the ritual, a day of rest, and the rest of his time was spent alone seeing as he didn't like to be with people. He continued to browse the stop, bumping into some boy on his way around a shelf of arrangements.

He glared at the man who had bumped into him. Just in case, he pulled his cap down further over the left side of his face to hide his eye. "Hey. Aren't you going to appologize?" Tsubaki was already in a bit of a temper. There had been news brought to him that had not at all been pleasing and it was still on his mind. On top of that, the flower store was out of the particular bouqet he had been looking for today. Why, after six months of comming here, did the one bouqet he want have to be out of stock?

Ryuho scoffed and folded his arms looking boredly at the other boy. "Why should I? As I see it you were the one in my way. But escuse me boy." RYuho said stressing the last word as he continued to look at the flowers in the shop.

He looked up as the man spoke. If he had known who he was talking to, surely he wouldn't speak in such a tone. But no one had seen Tsubaki for ten years. And no one looked for him, although the murders had happened only six months ago. He raised his chin, an odd grin spreading across his shadowed face. Finally, he tilted up his cap on the left side just enough to allow the other a glance of his eye. "I'm no boy," he said cooly. His eye, coupled with the scar that maured his face and the "tattoo" gave a distinctly discording note on his appearence and he grinned, walking over to the counter to pay for his bouqet of orange roses, his free hand moving to to lower his cap before the girl at the register saw his face.

Ryuho turned to the boy as he walked away from the counter. "Are you supposed to scare me? You don't look older than 18. You are still a boy to me and if you haven't seen my markings as well...I know who you are." Ryuho turned to walk out the door as he left the other standing there with the bouquet.

He ignored the man and payed for the roses. He exited, stretched for a minute to get his bearings and made his way to the heart of the city, where the memorial was. In fact, it was in the exact center of the city. No one else knew what the memorial was for, but for some reason it was untouched and unvandalised. Only Tsubaki, who had made the memorial six months ago, visited it. He actually visited it every day, always bringing flowers of some kind. He reached the large slab of stone - oddly like that of a tomb - and carefully layed the flowers there.

Ryuho seemingly came from nowhere and kept his distance from the other boy. "You still admire the work you've done I see. But why are in hiding?" Ryuho asked, his voice chalenging the other as he spoke.

Tsubaki looked up, seemingly unsurprised by the man's prescence. "I beleive this is what people call 'mourning,'" he said softly, his tone dry, one eyebrow raised. He lifted the cap off his head, his free hand moving to run through his light blue locks, his odd eye glimmering at the other.

He shrugged and turned back to the grave. "It's not as if I regret it," he said flatly. After all, it was true. He didn't regret it, but that didn't mean he should be disrespecful. It was odd, he knew, to visit the memorial that served as a grave for the people he had killed, but he wasn't a normal person. He was even smiling, but only slightly.

Ryuho wiped his mouth before grabbing the other boy's chin. "You didn't have as many markings on your face the last time I saw you. You were much younger then." Ryuho studied the boys face in his hand. Ryuho had disppeared ten years ago at age 21. He returned during the murders, nomemory of wher he'd been or what happened, and he hadn't aged a day. He did however remember some pact with a dragon. When he heard of nobody seeing the young Master Tsubaki, Ryuho knew this was a lie, and figured the murders were most likely his doing. He had seen it in Tsubaki's eyes when he was a child. But perhaps Tsubaki didn't remember him from then.

There was confusion in the boys eyes now - or, rather, one of them, for the other, the blue one, remained dead, only the marks of the White Dragoness of Ice remaining. THere was a spark of recollection in the other eyes, the green one. But it couldn't be. It had been ten years... He frowned and asked hesitantly. "Ryu...ho?" All he remembered was a name and a face - after all, he'd only been six when the man had left. But that face hadn't changed. Who the man was and what he did was unknown to him - or, at least, forgotten - and he frowned slightly.
