No, I have dropped my flute so many times. We had just left the school heading over to the football field when the end joint on my flute FELL OFF! it was horrible. I had to tape it on. No, your not the only one that drops and or injurys your instrument, it happens to everyone, even if some don't want to admit it.

I had something sort of like that happen, but it wasn't really my fault. A couple of football players were playing catch behind where we were practicing, and out of everyone and everything in the area, the football hit not me, but my flute. The worst part is I didn't even see it coming because they were behind us. I still got in trouble for it, too.

I once put my oboe on a stand on top of my coat, and then pulled my coat out from under it. That really wasn't good...

I ran down the stairs with my oboe reed in my hand... It flew across the room, hit the floor, and had a huge crack straight down the middle of one of the blades. 0.0

You are not the only one darlin!

This one time I was playing in a recital and I tripped walking out and I threw my flute and it went flying into a wall. That was when I broke my ankle... and ednted my flute >.<

During showcase band I played to instruments (alto sax in second row and clarinet in the front row) and my stuff was in the second row but I needed to grab a chair and stand for the front row so I wasn't thinking and I put my alto and clarinet on a school stand...

you can imagine what happened.

I had to play a contrabass clarinet for All-County Band this year, and I really wasn't used to it. Being a naive idiot, I leaned it up against a cabinet in the band room. I thought to myself that it was going to fall. But did I listen to myself? No. The moment I turned my back on it, I heard it scraping the cabinet as it slid away from it, and it crashed on the floor. Those things are made out of metal, so it was SO loud. My band teacher was like, "Uh, what happened?", and I was like "I dunno...". After that, it didn't play. I had to sit with my band teacher while he fixed it. I can't get over what an idiot I was. stressed

eek don't dance with your instrument...you'll kill it

once i did that in the storage room--i think i was really hyper sweatdrop it almost flew out of my hands....::shivers at thought::

there are these times when it falls for no reason .____.

oh then there was this one time i threw it on the ground...

...

i don't know why but I threw it...O_o; i think that i sounded so bad that day that it made me mad causing me to throw my clarinet...O_O (i was unreasonably not in tune no matter how much i pulled out the barrel or changed my embouchure DX)

I think I'm still rather careless :Stare: its pretty sad gonk i tell my own section not to go abusing their clarinets (now i can't tell kimberly that...last time i told her that she needed a bit of work on her articulation....::shivers:: she got mad at me....) i abuse me own clarinet...O_O crying burning_eyes yup pretty sad...i guess

TAKE BETTER CARE OF THAT FLUTE ON YOURS DX

jewel- DX oh my....thats scary

I wear uberly high heels to concerts and such.... there was a time i almost tripped but i didn't...once this one girl who i was talking to...she tripped...and her flute fell--but not her (now i just don't get that O_o; okay she almost tripped) and she dented it gonk it was right before a concert too!

one time i greased my corks really well because i had a long concert to play, needless to say, my bottom joint (clarinet) fell off onto the ground.. my band director lookd at me and shook her head.. then there was the time i put my clarinet on my music stand... use your imagination...then ther was the time i sat my clarinet on the floor standing on the bell.. use your imagination..then ther is the time that i broke down into 2 sepreate joints(like youre supposed to when u need to safely leave your clarinet some where) and laid them on my (folding) chair, they both slid out the back of the chair. Luckly for me, out of all of these and onthe incidents, my clairnet has survived it all!!! without even having to be taken to be repaired once!! I LOVE my baby!!
