Sayuri was worried. There she had thought it...words she didnt often think, because admitting problems meant they were true. She sighed, adjusting her kimono skirts, a bare foot peeking from underneath the printed silk, wriggling on the sun warmed grass. She glanced over at the toddler sitting near to her, the little black furred tail twitching, the listlessness of Yamya.
She could help..if she knew what was going on..
Yamya knew, the odd dreams that meant her sleep wasnt refreshing anymore. The strange woman whose presence was peaceful, yet troubling to her toddler mind all at once. And the request; what did it mean? She yawned, little mouth in a perfect 'o', tiny sharp first teeth peeking through. Smacking lips she got to her feet, wobbling about across the grass near Bass'ken Lake. A butterfly alighted on the ground just in front of her and she pounced, missing it as it flung into the air again. She let out a noise of annoyance and padded after it, crawling more then walking.
'Don't go too far,' warned Sayuri, keeping a weather eye on the toddler, glancing from Yamya only occasionally to look at the other picnicking families nearby.

Chiemi awoke on the floor, where she normally slept, and brought a hand to her mouth as she yawned. Getting up, her long raven black hair flowed behind her as a drift of wind went through her room. Noticing that her window was still open, she went over to close it and when doing so, what she saw outside was the beautiful warm sun shining over soft hills of grass. Chiemi then closed the window quietly and went over to the bathroom to do her daily routine. Once dressed, she walked out of her apartment. She felt somewhat free from the feeling that she got of the crisp air touching her face joined with the soft warm rays of the sun. Deciding to go and look at the lake, she headed down towards it. She loved the reflection of the water as well as the color of it that seemed to have engulfed everything around it. Something caught her eyes as she was staring at the scenery before her, it was a butterfly, something that a dear friend of hers had given her. Sighing, she lifted her hand out to it, as it smoothly fluttered to her finger until it gave a sudden stop. Looking at it, just brought her heart to more sadness that would never be shown.

Yamya had followed the winged insect all the way to the Lakes edge, Sayuri now in hot pursuit as the Eden toddler had completely disobeyed her in regards to not wandering far. The butterfly had landed on a strange woman, Yamya narrowed her eyes and her cat ears lay flat on her head as she hissed and complained at her;
'Mine!' she stated, pointing at the butterfly.
Sayuri finally caught up, catching her breath and bowed.
'I am sorry we interrupted you..Yamya do not point..' she said out of the corner of her mouth.

Snapping out of her thoughts of loneliness, Chiemi lowered her hand and let the butterfly gently upon a blade of grass. Standing, she bowed politely and said "No, it is no problem..." Walking up to a nearby tree, she touched it as the bark seemed coarse from many years of endurance. Speaking softly she murmured to herself "Such strength a tree has yet a human's heart may endure twice the pains this tree has gone through..."

Yamya eyed the butterfly, tail swishing but Sayuri tapped her gently on an ear. She pouted, realising that meant she had to be on her 'bestest behaviour' because they were around strangers. She wrinkled her little nose at the woman, then looked up at Sayuri and spoke plainly and loudly.
'Why she talk to twee?'
Sayuri stifled laughter that was trying to come out at Yamya's blunt statement. She hadnt properly caught the woman's words as she had mumbled to herself but she could see that a child might mistake it for that.
'Shhh..' she whispered.
'Well you're obviously..umm wishing to be alone. Sorry to disturb you,' Sayuri bowed again.

Chiemi bowed in return, then quickly turned towards the the toddler to answer her question. "Those who have others to protect them are lucky in more ways than they know..." Her face seemed to change back to it's melancholy self as she then turned to the other young lady in front of her, nodding her head to say 'no' she then spoke "It isn't a problem that you are here..." continuing her face became a bit more distraught. "... It's... quite soothing, I guess you could say, for others to be around at the most hardest times..."

Sayuri was puzzled; mostly as to the manner in which the woman spoke, and her palpable sadness.
'If you want to address Yamya,' Sayuri nodded towards the toddler.
'You'll need to speak simply. She cannot understand expressed sentiments like that.'
She watched as Yamya walked right up to the woman.
'Who you?' she demanded, peering up, her tail swishing.

Nodding her head to the other young lady in front of her showing that she had understood, she said "Yamya, what a pretty name you have, what I am trying to say is that you are very lucky to have your mother to watch over you." Surprised at the toddler's sudden approach she said keeping her face the same as it had been earlier, "My name is Chiemi, how do you do?"
