I'm sad sad Because... well...
Go to YouTube and watch "Ash" live. Compare it to "THE FINAL" from It Withers and Withers, then compare that to "THE IIID EMPIRE" from the Rock AM ring in Germany.
From screaming, Kyo's voice is getting damaged. Sooner or later... maybe a year or two? I'm not sure, but maybe Diru will break up, or get a new singer. cry
I mean, "Ash" live was awesome. "THE FINAL" 2005 had so much emotion it was great. But "THE IIID EMPIRE" in the Rock AM ring was... terrible.
What do you think?

yes have faith in him xD after reading on hell of an interview about him, I have a feeling he knows how to take care of himself, and he has the common sense to know what's going to stop him from performing :33 (not too long ago I was like WITHISHDF Please don't die from smoking/screaming!! cause I'm weird like that ._.; ) And Dir en grey will probably end if Kyo died (LETSHOPETHATDOESNTHAPPEN ><; ) It wouldn't be the same if they had a new vocalist D:

You say he can take care of himself... but he cuts himself on stage xD But I guess so, if you say so.
And it wouldn't be the same without Kyo... but maybe, would it change for the better?
Because I'm not sure sure, but maybe D'espairsRay's Hizumi is a better vocalist... I'm not sure though, Kyo's vocal range is really wide, but Hizumi has definitely mastered the death vocal style.
Those two, as well as An Cafe's Miku and MALICE MIZER's Klaha and Gackt, Moi dix Mois' Shadow X, they're all awesome vocalists.
Then again, there's no vocalist out there who would do better for Dir en grey than Kyo himself.

Kids, as much as I love you... Couldn't this have been mentioned in the Kyo Thread? It's okay to post in there, you know. No one in there's gonna bite you.

That IIID Empire show sounds all right to me. Kyo has a habit of singing away from his mike, though, that was the only problem for me.

I'm sure sombody has already said these words one way or another but...For a guy like Kyo who can go from a delicate whisper to a vicious scream in a heartbeat and has been doing so for quite some time, it has to be expected that his voice changes a little over time.....I like Slipknot for example. but Corey Taylor((vocalist)) has lost alot of his voice. Lucky for us Kyo only needs a little time to rest. I'm sure with the turn the music is taking he'll be cutting down on anything thattl hurt his voice.

This could have been put in the Kyo thread, but it's here so...
Really, you think he would have lasted this long if he couldn't take care of himself? Maybe he could use a littile honey to suck on for a while, maybe some tea, but really? I like his voice, it's all raspy, and rough. heh heh. I like manly voices like that. XD He'll never be replaced.

Maybe he was just having a bad day, give a cough drop or something, but it just wouldn't be right without him there.

I think it's just from working so much, the whole band needs to take a break soon. They have be on tour for a while now, are coming out with a new single and then starting on the Family Values tour too. They have been mighty busy so after signing like Kyo does on and on, it's gets very hard to sound as good as they did when the tour first started and they were well rested. As soon as they are done be really busy and take a break for a little bit, Kyo's voice should be back to it's normal weirdly self XD
