Main Ingredient(s): Straw from a scarecrow, a crow's egg
Original Spell: The spell consisted of creating a potion to pour over a scarecrow, making it frightening enough to keep away any creatures or trespassers who might wish to tamper with what ever the scarecrow was garding, in this case a crop of rare, magical herbs.
What went wrong: The origonal ingrediants were supposed to be straw from the scarecrow the spell would be put on and a raven's egg, but the unwary assistant couldn't tell the difference between a raven's egg and a crow's egg.

Coming soon, a profile describing Newton Filinas, Cro's guardian Name: Newton FilinasNickname(s): NewtAge: 25Appearence: Newt is over six feet tall, but keeps an almost constant self concious slouch, making him seem a lot shorter. He's thin as a rail, gangly and lanky indeed like a scarecrow. His hair is black and greasy, almost always pulled back into a poney tail. His face is shrunken and malnourished, his skin pale and tallowy, his features sharp and severe. Dark circles line under his green eyes. He has an overbite, giving him an almost buck-toothed appearence.Personality: Nervious, self concious, and nearly terminally shy and jumpy. He nearly always has an expression as though any moment someone will swing a baseball bat at his face. Despite all this, though, Newt is incredibly intelligant, deeply immersed in his research.Likes: Old music, his record collection, hiding in closets, pineapple juiceDislikes: Loud noises, crowds, gloves that cover his fingers, being touched, foreigners Background: At the end of November, a pair of twins were born, identicle in everyway, save for the color of their eyes. Unfortunatly, it was too much for their poor mother, leaving them in the lone care of their unwilling father. By the time they were teenagers, it was evident that Raven was the hellion of the pair, constantly getting into one form of trouble or another, untill he finally left home and their abusive parent. Newt was a quiet boy, unlike his brother, who seemed incapable of outgrowing his stutter.
He had a penchant for books and magics, and when he was eighteen and his father officially rid himself of him, leaving him out on the streets, he soon came under the apprenticeship of a local wizard. He had a knack for spells involving runes, complicated mandalas and drawings and strings. Unfortunatly, Newt was also terribly clumsy and scatterbrained. The accident in which Cro was created was the last straw, his Master releasing him from his teachings to send him on his way once again with the little scarecrow baby along with.
He and Cro wandered for nearly a month on the streets of Durem untill he finally heard word of a sanctuary for people like him and Cro, and set off to find refuge there, where he could raise his mishap and continue his training on his own.
