Personally, my favorite one of his short-stories/poems is The Cask of Amontillado. I assume that if one enjoys horror movies and the morbidity that they bring, one might like Poe's work.

What are your favorite short-stories/poems by Mr. Poe, if any?

One of my favorite childhood relics is a collection of Poe that was given to me by a beloved elementary school teacher(*shrugs* I was an 'advanced reader').
It's a hefty paperback edition, but it's been nearly read to death over the years, so I keep it in safely wrapped in storage. I really should replace it because it's been far too long since I've read Poe, but I do remember being quite fond of his poems.

I need to gey myself a collection of his. I only have some handouts from English and some printed-off versions from the internet. Oh, and my fave story of his was in the anthology Fiction.

My favorite Poe story is prolly The Pit and the Pendulum....or Tell Tale Heart...my favorite Poe piece is

A Dream Within a Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

I just ordered his collected works from my library. I've read a story here and there and what I've read I like.

my favorite work by him has to be a tie between the Raven and the Cask of Amontillado, both sent chills down my spine when I first read them (mind you I was merely 12). He is a great author, and there is not a piece of work, that I've read, that I do not like.

I think I've read most of Edgar Allen Poe's short stories, my favorites were the Tell Tale Heart and the Black Cat. Actually, I think that I've read more of his short stories than his poetry, though I have read Annabel Lee and of course the Raven.

I've only read Tell Tale Heart and The Raven from him. My drama program did Tell Tale Heart as wel which was done very well. I would love to read more of his works.
