Well this is a post about if your a new age person all about the turbo charger and electronics or are you about raw power of a V8. For me I am into both actualy I can't really choose which one I like most. I just love the sound an old muscle car makes but that quietness of a new car does have its advantages.

If they've ever perfect the steam turbine...that would be my fav engine to drop into a test body. And though I do like the notion of the electric vehicle, to me, it's still considered a novelty...and I can't get over the thought that I'm driving the next generation golf cart..

Now E-85 alcohol fuel, that has some appeal..!! With less emissions, but the same (if not) more power..!!

They say that in some near future like 30 or 40 years from now there will be no more fuel on earth.
Well use that time to drive around the in a big V8 that just drinks fuel like elefant water. Tell me would you like to turn around in 30 years and say:
'' I'm sorry cus i never drive a V8'' or you would like to say : " Damn no more fuel, ok now i shall by that bloody toyota that runs on corn pie"

Michigan Metal all the way. V8 's and nothing smaller. i don't even like straight or slant 6's. if it doesn't have eight cylinders and can't do 250+ km i don't want it. and no plastic and fiber glass dinky toys. by that i mean ricers. and always 350+ horsepower no lower. so what if its a gas guzzler at least i'll have fun. and nos is for weaklings who can't do it on their own.

far from full of myself. i just know the way i like my cars. as for V8's with nitros, its like i said it doesn't count if its not under your own engine power. as for the technology part, no offense to you but the more technology involved the more it does the work. its not a true testiment to your abillity or skill as a driver it just says " i sit back and let the car drive me'. thats not the way its suppose to be.

I agree with BSH33. I like to have a feal of metal conection between steering wheel and a wheels, not some copper wire computer drive system. Rather have a carburator then direct, manual then auto. And all electrics in my car would be perfect if i could adjust 'em with hammer.

now your talkin. fell everything inside and out of the car with your own senses. not get told whts happening by a computer. thats what driving is all about. its like the phrase " just you and the open road" not " you, the open road, and the computer driving your car for you"

autopilot...psh. and with something electronic that means less moving parts, less wear. You get yourself a full set of guages: egt, boost/vaccum, water temp, oil temp, oil pressure and youll be way more aware of whats going on with your car. oh yeah your drving and you are going to know your oil temp just by touchign the dash omg my car overheated becuase i have a stock guage talk2hand . but oh well if you want to stay in the stone age of carbs thats okay but you can get such a better tune on a fuel injected car anda full set of acurate gauges. A friend of mine had a eighty something mustang with a carb 350, he put on a fuel injection and got it tuned, baseline he pulled a extra 20 hp and after it got tuned 30 AND he got a little mpg out of it. Have you ever seen someone dyno tuning a car now that is something you need to see. not the old get a screw driver and turn a screw then say "Oh I just tuned it"User Image

That is just too nerdy. And all that electrics is killing a "SOUL" of a car, if you belive in that. Granted that the computer cars have better performance, but i want to drive not to play NFS in my car. Three things you have to think about while driving a car: steereng wheel, clutch and a gear lever. Not how many rpm i have in my fifth gear.
And adrenalin, it comes from fear. Safe car with all that traction control crap and wathever else produce zero fear = zero adrenalin. OK maybe not zero but lot les then 300 bhp with a tyre that is not wide as football field.
You can think that its not gonna be like that but one day you will wake up and find out that law would say: "All cars have to have AUTOPILOT". All because its safer to have a computer driver in you car. Until your WINDOWS in your car crashes. CRAP!!! then what?

Then again i dont want to start a big fight about this, i respect what you like Red_Run. Beside the topic here is what kinda car we like, not what we hate. And we all like cars that is for shure.

purest ethanol i heard of is like 98% and it had close to 1.4 times the power of gasoline with a lower compression not even half of it really, its cool its cheap... put a tap on the tank and you can get smashed off your gas! lol ok bad idea but fun nonetheless
