Flames danced on the tip of the metal lighter, some flying off to the dry ground. None of the free flames started a fire, for they were to small to really do anything. It did provide a nice source of light though. It was dark and not to easy to see anything. Especially since Kai had given his glasses to Envy II, who ran off to who knows where. The only thing still with him was Bagle, who wasn't much help. All he did was get on Kai's head and try to fall off. Kai had his thoughts that the poor thing was mentally challenged. And why did it have to be pink...? That wasn't a strong color. Far from it. Pink, the color of a women. Or well, in Kai's mind at least. Maybe one day he'd pull out the black paint and color that thing. Then it would look manly. And evil. Evil was always a good look. No matter what. Not that he would take his time and do it though. Stupid pink thing. Why couldn't it just die? At least it had some black, but the head thing didn't really count. It just made it look odder. Just really weird.
Kai sighed as Bagel jumped off of his head again, flying toward a tree. Only to fall and hit a sharp rock. Bagel just giggled and went back to climbing up Kai. That was the funniest part of the whole thing to him. Jumping off was fun, but he never made it to far. Maybe in the far future. Whenever he evolved. That's what Kai told him at least. Or more like Kai pointing to Bagel then to a card with some cool looking thing with wings. He only hoped that it meant he would evolve into it.
Cold air whooshed out of Kai's mouth, flowing through the air. With a little grasping sound, Kai grabbed a rock off of the floor. Clutching tighter he lifted it and threw it straight. He listened, only to hear it fall in some sort of water. Water was good. He was thirsty. How lucky was he? Jumping up straight, he ran to straight, Bagel on his head jumping up and down.

Kia [XD.] stepped forward in smaller steps as he got closer to the area. He could smell the water. And he heard that growl that was there. His hearing was pretty good... Or it was the fact that Bagel tensed up and got a bit scared. The little p***k of a Pokemon. All he could hope for was that it wasn't like Lucifer, going off with a male. Where was that fire thing anyhow? This wasn't the time to worry about trivial things. Feet tugged into the ground, he moved forward. Until he could see a light up ahead. Or. Was it even a light? What was that thing? Stepping forward he watched as Bagel tried to fly gain, landing close by a dog like thing. Only to attempt to jump on the dog's head. Bagel was far to bold for his own good. Or stupid. Maybe he was just really stupid. It was one of them. Kai moved closer, grabbing a knife hidden away in his pocket. What was up ahead? Would it try to hurt him? Was it someone he knew? That crazy chef girl?

The stupid dog thing was really annoying right about now. Barking and what not. Stupid dogs. What was that thing? A diseased Pokemon? Or a large rat? Whatever it was, Bagel giggled and jumped around a bit, heading toward Rei with a smile on his Lil face. His idea of fun was jumping off of different people's head. big or small. Tiny or large. Shrunk or grown. Whatever. Giggling, he poked at Rei, wondering what she was. She didn't feel to odd, kind of good actually. Kai on the other hand, was not having such a good time. He almost screamed as the stupid thing...L-l-l...It Licked him! Kai stood there, trembling a bit as he shook it off. That thing was really horrible. Stupid ghost Pokemon. He sighed as he walked a bit farther, not looking at the Pokemon, but only at the girl. She didn't look bad... Sighing he sat himself on the ground. "Can you stop that thing from licking me?"

Kai looked at the girl, then to her Pokemon. Or dog. What ever it happened to be. Not that he would ask. And why was Bagel poking at the girl? Couldn't he just stop being happy all the time? Maybe if the girl slapped the pink thing it would stop giggling. Not that it would happen. Well, only time would tell. There was one thing that disturbed him the most though. Out of everything. One thing that hit a raw nerve. IT annoyed him so much. The girl had her feet in the water. He had no doubt that the water was dirty. All the water in the area wasn't clean. And something might try to bite her leg off, not that he cared or anything. When he got the chance, he would attempt to strangle the little thing that licked him. If ghost could be killed. Only if he tried he would know. Not that he could get that close.
Right. Rei. Was that a real name? Or a fake one? There was no doubt that he would give her a fake name. He usually gave people Hakuo now and then. That's who the police looked for. This girl wasn't going to get his real name.
"I'm H-... I'm Kai."
He wanted to slap himself. He was never to give out his real name! What next? Giving her his hoodie or something? Now that would have been completely out of his nature. Maybe he would stab her, for she was just sitting, with her legs in the nasty water.
r maybe they were at the pond? Where the water was clear? It was to dark to notice.

There was no time to act all nice to this girl. She was a stranger. A nobody by the looks of it. There was no way he had anything valuable to steal. She seemed to be ignoring him or something. That in itself was a tad bit rude. Maybe he should kick her or something? Then maybe she'd pay attention to him. All that he could gather about her was that she seemed calm. Not worried about him. Maybe it was because it was so dark. There had to be wanted posters with his face on them around here. Not that the dumb police consisted of Officer Jennys could retrieve him. Females could hardly do anything worth telling. Pathetic waste of flesh and bone. Bagel looked around a bit, trying to find something out there. Why was it so hard to find? Why did it have to be so darn dark? Sighing, he jumped to the right a bit, until he saw what he wanted. In the yonder about a mile away was a large rock. The largest in the little forest. He had to jump off of it. Had to. Kai motioned for Bagel to go, and off he went. Kai looked at the girl a bit, wondering. "Would you perhaps have something worth stealing, perhaps?"

She rolled over slightly, just enough so that she could make out Kai's shape in the darkness, quirking a brow at the question. "Doubtful." The girl's eyes had become as adjusted to the darkness as they were going to that night, and even with the moon and stars the forest's shadow consumed the faint light. Rei poked at her bag, not sure herself if she had anything of value with her, but she doubted it, highly so. Why would she take something of value to her along with her- it would probably just hold her down with memories of home. Not that she had a home anymore, not for at least ten years now. In any case, she took an immediate dislike of the guy, but it was slight. With his intention of stealing from her you'd think her loathe would be more acute, but it was late and dark and it didn't matter so much. "Things like that would only hold me down." Slowly, she sat upright, half towards the forest and half towards Kai. It was only after sitting upright after laying down that she felt the faintly grotesque sensation of not being cleaned in awhile. Upon arrival she intended on at least rinsing in the stream, but that obviously wasn't going to happen now, and when it did her Pokemon would be on strict watch.

Kai stood there, throwing his hand into his left pocket. He grinned as he found what he wanted. Placing a cig in between his index finger, he took out his hand. Throwing in his mouth he grasped the knife with his right hand. Why did he have to do what he was going to do? She had nothing. She was nothing. But something about her presence. He gave her his name. It had to be done. Actions had to be taken. Sighing, he pulled out his knife. It was long, more like a dagger with a sharp edge. A wooden handle. standerd for killing someone. This would be easy. "I'm sorry I have to do this. But, I'm going to steal your Pokemon. If I take their Pokeballs, it'll be easier for me to get them. So, you can give me the balls, or I can force you to give them to me." A grin spread across his face, his red eyes glaring at the girl. His eyes had adjusted enough to see her. More reason to get rid of her. To steal the only things that she did have.

Kai just smirked as the girl talked. Why did everyone have to try and be calm? Act like he was stupid or something. The world was full of people that just wouldn't die silent. And what was she doing with that thing she put in her mouth? Did she take it back out? He really wasn't in the mood for asking questions. Far from it. Actions defined a person more. Or so he heard. Not that he cared much. As long as he got what he wanted.
"I don't care if they listen to me. Catching them will be so much easier without a fight, I plan to sell them , and if I'm lucky one of them might be a dark Pokemon. Those rank in the good cash. And I'm running low on cash. And I don't smoke, I just like having it in my mouth. Makes me feel more evil. And don't go commenting if it does or doesn't. I really don't care."
He sighed as he walked closer to the girl. Closing his eyes, he thrust the knife forward. It was easier to see what he was hitting when his eyes were closed. He never did know if she moved or not.
