His nostrils flared as he paced back and forth in the woods, snorting in frustration from time to time. Much like his fiery mane and tail might suggest, he was hot-headed. Once angered it took him a considerable amount of time to calm... Especially when left to his own devices.
"How da'e he..." He huffed, stomping one of his front hooves against the ground, kicking up a clod of dirt as he did so. His eyes were blazing, burning like two hot coals set on a deep sapphire pelt. He needed to calm down and, somewhere deep down, he knew that... But he would find no such peace when left with a mind filled with thoughts such as the ones he had.
Some males, in his mind, had no right to call themselves stallions. No matter how aged their bodies, their minds would forever be those of colts who learned nothing... Including how to treat a lady.

Sometimes you could love being around other Soquilis...and sometimes, you just felt like you'd been chucked without warning into the middle of a lake and told to sink or swim. Such was the case when the Soquili that you got to deal with a borderline nut case...
His head still swimming from his recent encounter of the absurd kind, Indawo plodded through the trees, his head lowered meditatively. He liked to think of himself as pretty open, but there were some things that were too much even for him; crazy kid-mares were near the top of that list, apparently.
Perplexed as he was, Indawo had never been the type to let his thoughts distract him from what was going on around him; consequently, the first trace of the prescence of another caused him to slide back out of his ponderings. From the angered snorts that passed through the trees, whoeever it was didn't sound particularly cheerful...or necessarily friendly.

He was so caught up in his pacing that his senses were addled. He should have caught scent of the other stallion, even if he hadn't heard him... But he didn't.
No, it wasn't until he turned in his pacing that his eyes, which appeared as glowing coals set against ebony and midnight, that he noticed that he wasn't alone. His initial instinct was to snort once more and demand to know what dis one wanted. Luckily, he decided against that course of action.
He stood there, remaining still as he stared the stallion down. He was unfamiliar... Which, all things considered, was probably a good thing. A gust of warm air passed his lips as he relaxed, letting his gaze soften slightly. He offered a nod in greeting, not quite trusting his words at the moment.

A proud stallion himself, Indawo's first instinct at the haughtiness of the other's gaze was to strike a menacing pose and stare the other stallion into the dirt...but given the obvious agitation of the other stallion, Indy finally decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Although if he was charged...well, then he'd have to retaliate, of course.
Still, he was a little relived when the overt hostility of the strange stallion softened slightly, and he himself loosened his posture and dipped his head slightly. Politeness looked to prevail..thank god.
"Good day. I hope that my prescence hasn't startled or intruded upon you in any way." Although he wasn't really going to apologize even if it had; it was a free woods, after all. But it seemed a good thing to say.

"Non..." He shook his head, tossing locks of fiery mane about his head and neck as he did so. "It best mah thoughts disrupted..." Certainly nothing truer had been spoken by him since he'd stormed off. It was either calm himself now or take off after that fool once more, no matter how he'd been told to leave it be by the pink and blue pony with wings.
His pawed at the ground with one of his front hooves before taking a step back, giving the other male a bit more room to himself. He hoped the other would take this as a certain sign that he wouldn't attack without reason. He had some sense of honor, of course. If he hadn't he wouldn't have gotten himself into this sort of mess. "Rem'eh... Rem'eh LeBeau. An' you be?"

Though he maintained his distance, just to be on the safe side, Indawo continued to relax his guard, bit by bit. It would just be too cruel of fate to have him encounter two crazed Soquilis in a row. But if anything, this stallion...no, Remy, now that he'd introduced himself...ok, so, Remy seemed more agitated than insane.
"Indy...rather, Indawo." As he introduced himself, the spotted stallion stepped back one foreleg slightly in a bow, a habit he'd picked up in his travels. "I gather you've got something on your mind, then; not that it's any of my business, but..." He paused; it really wasn't any one his business; they'd only just met, after all. But it wasn't often that he'd met someone who literally got flaming mad...it piquied his curiousity.

"Indawo." He nodded once more, accepting both the name and the stallion whose coloration did nothing to cause his eyes to ache and whose presence didn't cause his blood to boil. Yes, this was definately a welcomed change.
"Oui, you can say dat... Some fool soq' decided he was gonna disrespect a ladeh 'cause she not choose him." He snorted, eyes narrowing once more at the thought. No matter how pleased he was with the fact that the mare had followed him, he wouldn't have called her harsh things if she hadn't. "I don' care who you be... You don' say nothin' to no chere dat don' deserve it."

His head cocked to one side, Indawo listened as the other stallion spoke, fascinated by the strange accent Remy sported as well as interested in the conversation. "Well, some mares can be...trying on the nerves, but I guess I have to agree; call it the curse of being a stallion, if you will, but I guess we're just supposed to be good to them. Some freak of biology." He shrugged his shoulders, his thought flashing back to that eccentric mare who acted as though still a foal...and a crazy one, at that. Still, he'd been more amused than anything else, even if she DID manage to bring up his most hated feature in exactly the wrong way.
"So a stallion was behaving discourteously towards a mare, hrm? Was it a kalona stallion, then? I've heard that those Soquili can be most rude." Flicking at a fly with his tail, Indawo ruffled the pair of feathers attached to the top of it, causing him to glance back and examine the feathers; they'd only recently been put there by his two-legger, and he wasn't yet used to them. But he quickly returned his attention to Remy; this was actually interesting.

"Non..." He shook his head once more, stamping at the ground with aggitation. Had it been a kalona he might have understood. Might. "Dis some 'scuse for a stallion who get testy 'cause he can't keep up..." He snorted, eyes gleaming as he redirected his gaze to the ground, not wanting the other male to mistake that look for anything dangerous. "... Ah don' care how tryin' no mare is... Callin' a chere hideous? Dat goin' a bit far."

If nothing else, Remy seemed to have a slightly stereotypical view of mares...but then, there was nothing wrong with a stallion being willing to defend the honor of a mare, particularly against another stallion. Being bigger had its drawbacks as well as it's perks, after all.
"So, did you know this mare then, or was it just basically on principle? I mean...I know it's probably not any of my business, but you really seemed agitated when I first came around." A bit blunt, but Indawo believed in a straight answer to a straight question, whenever possible.

"I know her well e'nough." He nodded, tossing his head back on the return which sent fiery tresses fluttering in the 'wind' he created. He had met the mare two days prior at the same time that he'd met the big, bright bully. They had spent time together... Had alot of fun. "Bu' even if I not know her... It not right... Insultin' her intelligence an' denyin' her beauteh jus' 'cause he not her type."

"Well, some stallions...and mares, too...seem to enjoy belittling others. It's a sad trend, and a sign of a downward spiral in our species. But at any rate, I commend you for your gentlemanly behavior; it's a ponderance just how many would defend someone that they knew little of." As he spoke, Indawo paced down the little space between the trees; pausing in his constant walking had made him realize how stiff he was getting. "Not to change the subject or anything, but do you know of any streams around here?"

He was actually glad for a change of subject, especially after how many large words the other stallion had just used. His mind would remain on the fact if he continued to talk about it and, despite his fiery appearance, he was a mellow stallion. He prefered peace and all the freedom and beauty that went with it... Staying steamy did nothing for him. Nothing at all.
His head tossed into another almost overexagerated nod. "Ah know a stream... Not far a't'all. Want I show you?" He was ready to move, sleek flesh stretching over muscles as they flexed.

Well, that worked out well, then; interesting as the conversation was, it was a good point to move on. Just because Indawo himself enjoyed a good debate didn't mean that everyone else did, after all. "It would be great if you'd show it to me, Remy; I've been on the move almsot all day, and it feels like ages since I've stopped to rest, or drink, or anything. And I don't really know this area, I'm chagrined to say..."

"Dis way." He nodded before turning towards the woods, leading the other stallion at a slow trot. The first thing he'd learned upon coming to this area was where to find water. Water, along with the wind, was the key to life. "So... What bring you ta dis area if you don't know it?"
