I don't know, but I can never laugh at that either. I just feel so sorry for Kryten, after he's done explaining about how he spent so long lovingly preparing the food.. =/
Was that scene meant to be funny?
Because if I recall correctly, from about season six, the comedy became something of a drama.. ninja

I do laugh at that part, but... I dunno... series 6-8 disappointed me a little... I think it was because they got rid of Rimmer for a while, and Kochanski... GRRRRRRR!!! *pummels Voodoo doll of Kochanski and stamps on it* I can't STAND her!!!
I know what you mean Spores, it seemed to lose quite a bit of the humour... crying Though I still have my precious Series 5 videos to laugh at, that's probably my favourite series! 3nodding Well... and Series 3... and 4... and 2... and, while we're at it, where would I be without Series 1?

Cast in point, Season 3, Episode 1, "Backwards" when he asked for a clipboard and pen.

It was funny, but I liked Kryten better in the earlier seasons. Although I doi admit to having imitated him whining "You like her better" at various times!

I didnt find it that funny either. Kryten's character was severly changed after season six. I used to love him, now I find that he's more like a Rimmer/Overbearing Mother type of character rather than a smarty pants mechanoid. The old Kryten would have said, "Very well sirs, I'll keep it warm for you."

The first few series's are the best, hands down. They definately lower the standards by bringing Kochanski back, especially as a main character. It might not have been so bad if they had kept the same actress; Clare Grogan was so much better than Chloe Annett.

I love Kryten but i hated the first Kryten aboard the Nova 5 .. he was too posh .. ill find out who he is later in the commentary ... i also hated how they had him he was too cubey.. though that episode is amazing

Kryten: OMG ... ive only been gone 2 minutes
heehee! peace out to Kryten i still love him even if he still isnt as funny though its amazing when he rebels and paints a picture of Rimmer on the loo
