I thought it would be interesting to compare both seasons overall and discuss what was better about which one and why.
I personally liked season 2 better. It did get more soapy and I ended up getting annoyed with characters at times, but I found it much more emotional and complex and it delved a little more into the characters allowing me to care about them more and become invested enough that I get mad at them.

I liked season 2 more because of the drama. But I must say season 1 was really funny!! And mer/der where togheter!!

I like season 2 better because they seemed to go into the characters souls more and I really liked that. season one was more of a very long first episode really...

i've watched season 1 like 3 times in the last 5 days... i still yell at the tv when they make a bad decision...

I slightly prefer season 2. I liked the introduction of Callie and the McVet.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the masses here. One of the geratest thigns about Grey's was that it was so different from all the other medical dramas. It was about they being compettivite surgeons.
It was about fighting for the best patients, and what its like to be an intern. Season 2 jsut had too much drama for me. Yes, season 2 did bring a lot of great new characters and information, but it brought it too clsoe to ER, House, and all the rest.
Season 1 set it apart. Season 2 made it more common.

season two is better, by a whole lot.
