Hello.
Tomorrow, I'm going to begin travelling so that I can arrive in Sendai, Japan. I'll be on a homestay for the student exchange program YFU.
I can't find a lot of information on it, and I'm really very curious. Does anyone know anything about Sendai? Or, specifically, Aoba-ku?
こんにちは。明日、私は仙台市に始めてとらべります。私でYFUのりゅうがくせいのこんだてです。報道は見ませんでも、とてもものめずらしいですね。仙台市か青葉区をしっていりますか。

well, you're alreayd on your way, here's what I found about Sendai linky it sounds like a cool place. I think I requested Miyagi-ken when I applied for JET, but, that was a bit of a disaster for me, so I'd rather not talk about it sweatdrop Nah, I'm kidding, I'm over it.

On your japanese: 「とらべります」 is actually 「りょうこうします」 or 「トラブル」 (gotta lobe engrish) and ｢みませんでも、とてもものめずらしいですね」 should be ｢見ません。でも、とても物めずらしいですね。」 It's just some punctuation issues that I can fix for you, but 「私でYFUのりゅうがくせいのこんだてです。」, I can't do that, but the kanji for 「りゅうがくせい」is ｢留学生｣. It's all some minor things. Have a good trip. I think you will.

I was in Sendai for a few days last summer.....
There are some really good ramen resturants by the main mall...but past that, the city is very much ummm, well sterile feeling.....lots of concrete, probably do to the fact that the US bombed it to nothing durring the war, and so the rebuilt city has sort of a 1950's feeling to it. Just my thought.
